Hey I just want to let management know their bartenders are not very attentive or quite frankly friendly. At least this has been my experience. I frequent the place occasionally with friends or family, like the food and atmosphere. Almost always sitting at the bar, not tables. I swear I must be invisible to them. They will walk right by, all around, even stock and clean glassware without even an acknowledgement. Last time I was there we got up and moved to the other end and finally got some service. On another occasion we weren't ready to order yet when asked, but she never returned. Maybe it's my age (65). Tell you what, I got money, wouldn't take much effort to get 25-30% from me. We got a huge order from this place and the food was underwhelming. They gave us burned chicken tenders. Our kids would not eat anything. Also their "rub" was sprinkled loosely in the to-go container. Also there was barely any sauce on their saucy wings. We got a meal for 10 people so it was expensive and incredibly disappointing. I was able to get onion rings on the side and they were nice and crispy. The burger was very messy, dripping with sauce and cheese. The restaurant has a big parking lot, so lots of room to park anywhere. As we walked up to the bar we walked passed their outside sitting that looked nice and comfortable. It's the middle of winter but they had a nice firepit and heaters all around. I didn't even notice it was cold outside. I went with my cousin and we decided to sit inside the restaurant. It looks like a typical bar restaurant, with a large and long bar in the center and sitting all around. They have have a lot of tables with chairs and plenty of televisions all around the bar showing different sporting events. I ordered the salmon blt with cheesy fries and my cousin had garlic parmesan wings with onion rings. The cheese fries were delicious but when I bit down on my sandwich I noticed it was missing the salmon. When I told my waitress about it, she apologized and she said it would a few minutes for my sandwich. They didn't redo my sandwich but brought out a plate with salmon. Needless to say I was disappointed, but I have to say the salmon was cooked perfectly. The chicken wings tasted plain, no garlic and barely any parmesan on it. The onion rings were amazing, they were nice, big and crunchy in the right place. My cousin and I were in the mood for mixed drinks. We ordered a mango mimosa and a berry move mimosa and they were really bad and tasted watered down. Then I ordered an orange mule that came in a tall glass instead of the typical copper mug. That drink was bad as well, it tasted watery. My cousin ordered a fuzzy navel and that was the only drink that tasted ok. We got to the restaurant before the DJ started playing and I was surprised by how loud it was there. I've been to loud bars before, but I couldn't hear my cousin talk and she was sitting in front of me and that was before the music started. Overall I was disappointed by restaurant. The food for the most part was good and they do have a large beer menu, but we didn't have any beer. So I guess if you go for the food and beer it's good, but my cousin and I didn't enjoy the majority of our mixed drinks. read more

I generally don't review bars unless there's something really fantastic about them and I never review any place to just talk about the service. But honestly, the service was THAT bad to the point that it should be talked about. I came here with two friends on a Friday night for some drinks. The place was decently full, not too packed but with a healthy amount of people. It took a while for a server to ask for our order and even longer for a drink and food menu to be brought. I was a bit baffled to find that the drink menu didn't have any prices listed anywhere and the server was unhelpful and ballparked the prices. When we placed our order, the server was adamant about getting a credit card to open up a tab for us despite our insistence that we were planning on paying in cash. She then proceeded to tell us how she had people run off on their tab last week and how she really didn't want it to happen again and asked us to be honest and pay before we left. On one hand I understand that that sort of thing is a problem (obviously - completely rude and honestly vile behavior) on the other hand I'm not sure it was appropriate to tell us that and then proceed to treat us as though we were planning on doing the same thing the entire time we were there. It took a while to get two of our drinks. It took even longer to get our third drink which was a plain Coke. The place emptied out as we waited for straws for our drinks. When she brought them over, the server banged the unwrapped straws against the rather sticky table and placed them in our drinks and walked off in an agitated manner. By that point we honestly just wanted to finish our drinks and leave which honestly, didn't take that long. The drinks were 75% ice. I get that it was a mixed drink for a bit over $6 but I still expected a bit better. I'm hoping this experience was a one-off but between the completely lackluster drinks and honestly horrible and downright rude service I'm not planning on coming back. read more

When I called to inquire, they said it is supposed to be measured at 72 oz. Why aren't they advertising 72 oz? And why was mine filled short? I don't drink, so one LI cocktail should have been enough to get me feeling a little tipsy. The mix was very tasty, but I had 3 cocktails and wasn't feeling it at all. The manager tried to resolve this by offering me another cocktail at half off, which I thought was nice. Our order for drinks and $6 appetizers (Wednesday special) was taken pretty quickly. The drinks came to the table first. We then ordered some menu items. We waited 1/2 an hour for the appetizers to come to the table. Our food order didn't arrive for an hour. Our waitress checked with us periodically but she never apologized for the wait, nor did she explain why there was a delay. When the food did show up, it was warm but we were peeved about the wait. Last night, my wife and I were at the bar right in front of a TV watching the Cavs game when the bartender changed it to the OSU game. Met a work colleague here for a recent lunch get together. I know that this spot recently turned over from another restaurant (of a similar name) and wanted to give them a try. I ordered off their special lunch menu insert where you can mix-n-match two dishes. I decided to try the chicken, broccoli and rice main dish with a side of loaded pub fries. Our server was prompt with drink orders and was attentive throughout the meal. The main (chicken) dish was fairly tasty...grilled chicken breast over a bed of seasoned rice, smothered in a broccoli cheese soup type of topping. It was fairly "gooey" but flavorful if not a bit salty. The pub fries were a generous portion topped with a liquid nachos cheese, bacon bits and green onions. These fries were way too salty but the flavors (together) were a nice combo with the spice of the nacho cheese and the smokey bacon. Pricing was reasonable, and I've seen several "deals" in the local Strongsville mail inserts which made the meal very affordable. If they could cut down a bit on the over-salting of the food, this place could be pretty solid! Next time there, I'm gonna give their wings a try... read more

Johnny J's is a large sports bar. Menu has a great variety of food... we had the O'Malleys Flatbread, a large dinner salad and Breaded Mozzarella sticks! Food was hot, salad large and the service was very good! Went a 2nd time and got the piled high nachos and Chicken Quesadilla and both were VERY good! Lots of beer variety, some wine and many, many huge tv's all around!! Bar has a nice layout and a variety of different sized tables. Pricing was great, can't complain about that! Was told I couldn't have a 'to-go' box for my boneless wings because their was a 'special'. Can anybody explain what sense this makes in a logical, coherent & cogent sentence? I didn't create the special nor does that concern me; I just wanted a box for wings that I paid for. I don't see the difference whether I eat them there or in the privacy of my own home. The amount of money my family's spent there, that's the least they could do is offer me a Styrofoam box totaling what $2-$3. We then ordered, only to find out later they were out of half what we asked for. The food, overall, was mediocre. The Collins burger was good, and the buffalo chicken dip was very good. The chips appeared to be homemade and were light and crispy. Got chili with a club sandwich wrap. The chili had a lot of meat, but no flavor. Ground beef, beans, and a thin tomato sauce. No onions, cheese or flavor for that matter. And the wrap kinda sucked. Lunch meet wrapped around tasteless avocado and too many chopped hard boiled eggs. The happy hour lasts a long time so you won't miss it if you get off of work at a later time. Food was like typical bar food to me, I do enjoy their boneless wings. I've been slow to warm up to this place. The younger crowd late night and their music is not my cup of tea. Even though they have 116 tvs, it's often hard to get someone to find the game you want. That being said, the food has been above and beyond expectations every time I've tried them the last few years. I tried their wings and burgers years ago and wasn't wowed, but as I've tried other items (corned beef, fish fry, specialty sanwiches) I've been more than happy w everything. It is also good to know they're kitchen will be open late if you're rolling into town late and want a beer and a burger (I live in the Meadows so, super close) 5 stars for having a solid kitchen over the last few years. Group of 7 came here on Sunday 1/3 for the Browns/Steelers game. Arrived 12:15pm seated quickly. Everyone wearing masks. Tables 6 feet apart. Everyone seated. Place was full by 1pm kickoff. But the service remained fantastic. Food was great and came out hot. You order a drink from your server, a runner from the bar brings it to you in 2 minutes. I went here over the weekend after hearing great reviews. I had previously tried going about a month ago on an Indians playoff game night and it was over an hour wait for a table so I'm glad I could try it on a less crowded night. I am glad to say this is one of my new favorite restaurants in Strongsville. I have been to the restaurant that was in this space previously and this one is much better. They gutted the place and completely redid it. I love the decor- very hip and trendy. There are a ton of tables (all different style of tables too) and a huge bar. They also have these really cute lights made out of Jameson bottles (trendy). The menu was impressive as well. The biggest selections were appetizers and sandwiches. They also had some flatbreads, salads and main dishes. Drink and beer selections were very impressive. HUGE draft list (probably 20 or so on tap) and an even bigger bottle list. I ordered the tomato soup and the grilled chicken salad. The soup was just alright, didn't come out hot just kinda warm and it tasted very tomato saucy. The salad was great, just the right size. The other people in my group ordered the O'Malley flatbread and a cheeseburger with tater tots. Everyone loved their meals.
