Pretty standard Mexican restaurant inside. Large bar. Had the Birria tacos and quesidiallas - both yummy and plenty of dipping sauce. Huge portions - everyone took some home. Last order was burrito special - one birria and one chicken - both with beans. Chicken a touch dry but real shredded chicken. Also tried the bean dip with queso - yummy. Birthday party of 12 & server was on the ball. Sat in front room by windows. Chips & salsa were just right. All our food was done well. My chicken w/ fajita veggies was great w/ a large portion of chicken & veggies & took home half of it. Quesadillas were enjoyed. The Birria bowl was awesome. I'm getting that next time. I loved this restaurant! I discovered a new dish I'd not seen anywhere-chicken with pineapple, cheese chorizo, onions-delicious! We had a sweet waitress who was helpful with ordering. the atmosphere was very nice and the bar looked cool. They sat us near the kitchen, and were not annoyed when I asked to sit further away. This place is absolutely phenomenal. A great, beautiful peaceful atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious. Staff is quite friendly not cheap but definitely worth the cost. I'll be visiting this place quite often. I'm sure I almost forgot to mention how quickly my food was at my table, absolutely unbelievably fast!!! First impressions were pretty good, our waiter seemed a drained (but understandable considering it was Sunday afternoon and quite busy) They were able to seat our big party quite quickly and was very speedy with the drinks and chips (side note free chips and salsa is always a win and they were yummy) My go to order whenever I am first trying a Mexican restaurant is chicken fajitas, they did a really good job, I just wish it was a little more wet, I'm not saying it was dry but I prefer it to be a little more wet then what I got. All in all, a really enjoyable experience for my family and I. P.s I did not like the daiquiri, it tasted very chemically to the point I though there was alcohol in it, my mom tried it as well and it took her a second cause she was not a fan of it either. Been gravitating to the Don Ramon/Gran Fiesta group of casual Mexican restaurants lately, as our previous favorite Cozumel has raised prices and lowered quality. Our first time at this Westlake location and wow, so impressed. It's newly remodeled and so clean! Large interior with comfortable seating for well over 100 people. And the food matched the pleasant experience of sitting down there. Scrumptious enchiladas and several tender birria dishes which very few others provide. Service was attentive and super kind. I wish we didn't live over a half hour away because we would eat here much more frequently. Great food with great spirits in a fun and comfortable atmosphere. Located in a shopping strip, you are transported to Mexico as soon as you step in the doors. The food and menu is broad and diverse but authentic! The drinks & beers are cold and true. And the tequila selection is top notch! Lots of Suavecito! The service here is amazing! We were pretty immediately seated, and despite being in the back corner of the restaurant, we were immediately provided with our free chips and salsa and drinks. We were never left waiting and wondering where our server was, and she even was so proactive in getting us more chips and salsa when we ran out. The food itself was good and super filling. I was there with a group of friends celebrating a birthday for someone. I ordered a plain appetizer with just shrimp as a quesadilla like the appetizer one. They bring me something different than they charge me for a $23 dish that says seafood quesadilla Relena. Then they charge $13 for a large queso when I can get it off of DoorDash for six dollars. That's outrageous. It cost me almost $40. For the first time ever in my life. I did not leave a tip.. the girl at the register gave me a hard time, I won't be back and I'll be darned if I'm gonna leave a tip when I was charged almost double for dinner. I am sorry that that's a rip off. I get way more food than that when I order off of DoorDash for that amount of money. It doesn't even cost me that much money. read more

In one of our experiences recently, the restaurant was closing early due to inclement weather and we were unaware of this until we walked in. The Montezuma Molcajete, Carnitas, guacomole and queso were a hit with my family. We shared the 2 entrees and 2 sides among 7 of us and had plenty of leftovers. We also enjoyed the 12 oz margarita lunch special for $5. The orange slice in addition to the lime slice was a nice added touch. Our lunch was made better with our friendly server Yolanda who provided us great service. We took our grandchildren there. The food was amazing and one ate an adult meal other a children's dinner. Both loved their meals. I asked to have my meal spicy. It did not disappoint. First - it took double the time given over the phone - instead of 20 minutes it took 40 minutes and multiple requests on status. Possibly due to being short staffed. The food itself tasted ok - the chicken better than the pork. However, not long afterwards - got Montezumas revenge that evening. So, will not plan to dine their again. read more

We celebrated our 42 anniversary here tonight and we couldn't have had a better time. It was very quiet when we arrived at 5:30 but gradually filled in around us. With all the guests there we could still talk comfortably and never felt like we were crowded. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful with our choices and provided us with a mild and hot sauce which left us able to reach a heat level comfortable to both of us. Ordered enchiladas through Uber. There was a required substitution that you had to click to sub out red sauce for cheese sauce for $1.99. Tried to add a special instruction to also add red sauce but it arrived without. Tried it out and it's just weird without red sauce. Won't order again until this isn't an issue. read more
