The United Club is United Airlines' airport lounge network. It offers a place for eligible travelers to relax, work, or grab a bite to eat before their flights. Not an all you can eat buffet. A selection of snacks, light meals, and drinks, including alcoholic beverages (may vary by location). That is the important piece. This lounge is sized for the PDX airport. Being the PDX is not a major hub, the lounge is smaller for the amount of travelers passing through the doors. The food over the last year has been extremely better than previous years. I wonder what changed but the food has been seasoned much better. Whoever is cooking now please keep them. All lounges have free high-speed internet access. Or at least included with membership. The service is very good here. The staff keeps the place clean. The bathrooms are always clean. The front counter personnel are always friendly. This is my home lounge and I appreciate everything the staff is doing there to keep it nice. read more

All US United Clubs are pretty similar on food offerings! There are some minor exceptions like Newark airport that offers a bit more and a coffee bar that provides Matcha! So the true differences in clubs are service, cleanliness, and seating offerings! Always best to go to clubs first thing in the morning when they are still clean! The Portland Club is small! I'm actually shocked they have a club as United flights to Portland are pretty limited! You will find this club on the second floor by the United gates. There are stairs or you can take the elevator to the second floor! Once you enter the club you will find comfy lounge seats and a few seats at the bar. The lounge overlooks three run way. The wait staff are pretty friendly! Especially the gentleman at the bar! As mentioned in other lounge reviews: the food is just ok! At breakfast they had various breads, oatmeal, pre made tiny omelets, cheese and more! Plus a coffee station and juice can be requested at the bar! The club was clean and service was good! Food was average to sub average like other clubs! As early in the morning, before 8am, plenty of seating. read more

This was my first experience with Portland's United Club. It was a mixed bag for sure. The elegant entrance leads you by elevator or a spiral staircase to the club. The offer an inviting aesthetic with limited seating and food options. It was early in the day so it wasn't crowded. Not sure what it would be like during prime time. I was shocked they had dated, dirty chairs that looked like they came from an old used furniture store's going out of business. They were THAT bad and without any padding. The United Club Portland is one of the old school clubs with the beige seats. While old it was not in bad shape and I was happy to see it was not overcrowded. The food selection is less than a hub club. Staff were friendly and you get a fun runway view. read more

The club has a nice view and hours are long. But the food options are very very limited. Most of the drinks are chargeable as well. If you have club pass then check it out otherwise a hard pass if you are spending 59$ to get in! read more

Lovely, laid back United Club Lounge at the PDX Airport. This is a higher-tier class lounge as you must be first class or business, but you can get a one day ticket for a price. Must be flying in United airline to get in. This club is considered a buffet style, as it's small food items but at least something to munch on. There is also a bar that serves only beer and wine (OLCC law); some drinks are complimentary and others are premium to pay for. This lounge has the best view in the airport of the runway especially at sunrise- bright with windows wrapped all the way around. Very Quiet, does get busy with delays or on a Sunday afternoon. They are coming back from being closed due to Covid but are back and better then ever. Agents are nice too. read more

We used the United Club PDX in April, 2025 and were quite impressed. The food is much better than it used to be. We were there at lunch time and had a delicious full meal, including 3 pieces of carrot cake, Ha! The food was replenished regularly and was kept clean. We were going to Chicago and found that the United PDX lounge was far superior to the United lounge in Chicago. Highly recommended. read more

Surprised to find a club at this United out station. The hours are long too opening from 4:30 am to 11 pm. The place is tiny with standard furnishing. Electric outlets are plentiful. Nice view of the apron from the tall windows extending the entire length of the sitting area. Food offering is one plain pasta in red sauce, one soup, one sandwich, salad bar and finger foods. Essentially nothing is complimentary at the bar. There is one house red, 3 house taps (Bud, Coors Light, Samuel Boston lager) and everything else is premium charged at airport prices. This lounge is ok if you have a membership. It is absolutely not worth paying $59 for a single visit. read more

These days it is hard to find a United Club that is not overrun by people. This one was an exception on my visit. The Club had all the "normal" food items and drink. Staff were pleasant and helpful. You had a chance to relax and that is all you really need pre-flight. read more

One of the small lounges by united but ok. Its not one of their big hubs so not surprising. The staff here were attentive and welcoming. The food options were so so but the seating and view here was good. During my visit it was not crowded and chill which was nice. Date: 10/27/23 Food: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Management: 4.5/5 My first visit to the United Club lounge at PDX was absolutely lovely and a much-needed respite from the expected madhouse that is Terminal E on a Friday morning. The lounge was quite, well-appointed, and generally felt more like a clubhouse or hotel lobby than a small room in a busy airport. The service members were all exceptionally friendly and efficient, and the girl tending bar was a true delight--convivial and accommodating and able to make an impeccable "Virgin Mary" that had all of the kick and none of the ick of its "Bloody" counterpart. One of the greatest treats was the restroom, which felt like a true lady's room and not a crowded and busy locker room. The chairs were large and comfortable, offering excellent views of the runway--there is nothing more exciting than getting to watch as, just inches from your seat at the window, your aircraft arrives at its gate (And on time! But that is another story...)--and playing a medley of enjoyable easy-listening tunes. Everything was perfectly conceptualized and implemented--from the tic-tac-toe boards on the backs of cocktail napkins to the array of gourmet coffee, tea, and hot chocolate options at the hydration station. My only quibble would be the food, and that only because of personal preference--the breakfast offerings were largely lackluster...not bad in and of themselves, just not GOOD. But they were free and plentiful, which makes up for quite a bit. On the other hand, lunch fare (of which I was able to try just a nibble) was absolutely fantastic, with miniature sandwiches, a full salad bar, soup, desserts, and a charcuterie board. The management could circulate a bit more regularly in order to ensure that items stay replenished, as I had to wait quite a while during the breakfast service to get a bowl of fruit, but this is a small quibble considering the overall level of enjoyment I experienced while waiting for my flight. The United Club is a hidden gem...if you have access, make sure to take full advantage of all the club's amenities during your time at PDX. read more

This is a nice and quiet United Club location. It is pretty much run of the mills United Club, which is not a negative by no mean. You got a few beers on tap and the usual soups and snack like any other United club. What makes this United Club stands out is the view. Looking out in the vast space here helped me coping with 8+ hours layover that my wife and I had to endured. read more

This is your typical United lounge with a lounging area with limited food and drink options. This particular location is a nut free lounge which means no peanut butter. I'm limited already on what I can eat so I used my own almond butter packet to make a semi decent breakfast. Basically this was just some almond butter with a banana. I wish United would step up there game on offering a better breakfast that wasn't just all carb based like breads, pastries, oatmeal and fruits. On a side note, the staff here was super nice and friendly. read more

First of all- they have a United Club in PDX? YES! they do. It's not the most modern... but the employees are excellent and friendly. Even better, it is just steps from the United gates. Limited bar service here. No hard stuff, just wine and beer and a variety of soft drinks. When I was there, the club was pretty empty, which is nice considering it was a busy time for departures. However, this lounge only serves beer and wine. I wish they had at least champagne so I can grab a mimosa to start the morning right. Not a deal breaker though. Bang average club. I'm surprised there's one in the first place, but it was a nice place to wait for our flight as we had some extra time due to a lack of security lines. This club clearly hadn't been renovated, and probably looked the same when it was first built. However, it's hard to justify doing anything in it, when there were about 10 people there when we were there. The furniture looks quite outdated and worn, but at least there's large windows thst bring in some natural light. Agents are really nice and pleasant. Food spread was mediocre, but then it always is at United clubs, which have some of the worst food spreads of any Star Alliance lounges. No hot food options other than soup. I did like the pitcher of ice tea they had alongside some mint leaves and sliced lemons, haven't seen that at any other location. For some reason they can't serve hard alcohol, and seemingly don't have a license to do so. It's United... So as long as you keep your expectations low, it'll be alright. I wouldn't get here early though. read more

This is a cozy little Red Carpet Club located within the United terminals at PDX. The snacks are plentiful and replenished often; the few who staff this location usually remember your name and are super friendly; the drinks are free, there is complimentary wi-fi, and the bathrooms are very clean. This is a much better alternative than sitting at the gates. While they don't have a full food service like the big sister locations, you can keep snacking on the fresh fruit, trail mix, snack mixes, and cheese. read more

This is your typical smaller United Club, but even being a bit small it seems to have plenty of space and is fully stocked. There are various breads, fruits, cereals and yogurts for breakfast and the normal snacks later in the day. The wifi is super fast and easy to get on. The best part of this lounge though is the view. All along one side you get a direct view of an entire run way. It's great to be able to enjoy a drink and watch the flights take off. read more

A group of four of us made use of the United Club lounge for just over an hour while waiting for a flight to Vancouver, BC. Being our first time there, the lounge was a bit difficult to find after security; it was located in an innocuous location in the hallway right near the beginning of the moving walkways with minimal signage, and two of us had to do a bit of searching to locate the main entrance. Check-in was friendly, courteous and comprehensive. The location of various facilities was clearly explained, and wi-fi password given without having to make a request. The lounge itself was clean, modern, not too full (there seemed to be only about three flights departing that afternoon), and quiet - TVs in the lounge area and bar were inaudible. One of the TVs appeared to be showing a sports game; the other showed headline news. There is a very nice view of the runway and surrounding residential area. The bar is located in a hidden corner furthest away from the entrance; house wine and beer are served by the bartender free of charge, though upgraded wine, beer and cocktails are available at highly-premium prices (for example, $12+ per glass for wine). This lounge is card only (only cards accepted - no cash), and we left small gratuities for each drink via credit card. Compared to other lounges offered to passengers on other airlines, the food service was lacking. Apples were wrapped tightly in cellophane; afternoon service consisted of carrots and celery, assorted fruit (such as bruised bananas), and self-serve Italian wedding soup - rather light for a premium lounge. Some of the other lounges have staff who notify you when your flight is boarding; this service also seems to be lacking here. This lounge is a nice perk and using the facilities is an upgrade from waiting at the gate. However, there appeared to be better dining and libation choices in the immediate post-security area of this airport, and apart from the noise isolation, house drinks and great view, there isn't a substantial benefit over waiting for your flight at the gates. read more

I've been to united clubs across America...LA, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Seattle, Washington DC, New York...this is the only United Club I've been to that won't let me start my morning with a Bloody Mary. I can't even get an Irish Coffee. The lack of legitimate food options and local liquor licensing laws have forced this United Club to only offer Beer, Wine and Soft Drinks. It's not a deal breaker for me, as it's still better than trying to get a decent drink in an American Admiral's Club and it's certainly better than sitting out in the concourse with the riffraff and local culture. For some reason (if COVID were the reason, I imagine that they would just close the club), this club - after a long hiatus - is only open from 5:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. For anyone with a night flight, it is unavailable. Bad thing about night flights at PDX is that everything closes up early and you can't even find a bottle of water to purchase. If you have a layover, you have to hope that it's in the morning! Only came to the United Club because my bf can get incidentals reimbursed on his CC and we had a little while before our flight. We typically go to the AMEX centurion lounge (which is amazing!) so this United Club fell short. The staff was nice and accommodating, but the options here are limited. Beer is offered on draft however you need to pay extra for Lagunitas ($3) or top shelf wine. So you're stuck drinking coors light (yuck) while snacking on some crackers with cheese. The place is quiet and has a nice view, wifi, TV, clean bathrooms. But not worth the $59/day price tag. read more

It makes me sad that my large annual fee pays for such a crappy home airport United Club, but it is what it is. I've been to better ones. Don't expect to be wowed here. The continental breakfast isn't anything special and there are very few options at that. On the plus side, the club is pretty clean and I've never had terrible experiences getting checked in besides the last time I went. The woman took about 10 minutes to check me in despite me giving her the information that she needed. To be honest, I usually just avoid going to the UC at PDX because I have better luck with food, drinks, etc. at normal restaurants. read more

Pretty run of the mill United Club. Worth the $45 one time fee? Probably not. Unless you've got a 3+ hour layover, there's not much worth visiting about this location. It's got some food (soups, cookies, snacks) and a bar, which is of course a solid plus. There's also a good amount of seating throughout with abundant charging ports. Overall better than the Philly location in my opinion, but I'd really only recommend coming if you have the club card or have lounge access via travel credit card. read more

United Lounges finally have normal wi-fi and no need for those dorky pink T-Mobile cards but the lounges are still meh: worn out chairs, poor selection of snacks and the bar has terrible vinegar that they try to pass off as wine. I guess I am spoiled from the Maple Leaf Lounges where there is hot soup, renovations and I can pour my own drinks. This lounge was grubby, had torn leather seats and there weren't nearly enough plugs for re-charging my laptop/phone. Still beats sitting with the masses in the general boarding area, but this lounge needs an update. read more

PDX is my home town airport. The United Club here is one of the best United Clubs I've enjoyed. It is smaller, but kept very clean with great views of the runway. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. It's not as modern as the new Seattle United Club, but is a cut above any of the United hub city clubs, maybe except the larger one in Houston. read more
