I love that Alaska offers a lounge. You have all your basic breakfast foods, complimentary coffee and alcohol and soda machine. They have an assortment of seating while you wait to depart on your trip including free WiFi. If you have the opportunity I suggest stopping by! I'm excited to see what their new lounge has to offer.

I've been to a few airport lounges and this one is pretty good. It is clean, an abundance of seating, there are lots of food and beverage options and has lots of outlets. There is a high top bar with outlets, perfect if you have work to do. The food selections always seem to include an entree, some fresh vegetable and fruits and a sweet treat. The bar serves a variety of spirits and there is both a soda and coffee machine. The service is great, with food being replenished quickly, tables cleared and one person even provided a wake up call.

Quick pasta and meatballs with garlic bread, pre-flight! YUM!

I love the PDX C concourse Alaska lounge. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The place is kept spotlessly clean and has lots of charge ports and the food is always fresh, seasonal and rotated. I love spending my time preflight here. Totally worth a membership.

Delicious (and unexpected!) birthday brownie and screwdriver for my wife on a recent birthday trip at the Alaska Air lounge!

Ok...this is not a traditional bar or restaurant...but if you have access to the lounge please go..as a frequent flier who travels more than 100,000 miles per year and visits dozens of lounges across the country (and world) this is the best airline lounge I have ever been in...not even close! Why so good you ask? Well...beyond the obvious of complimentary food and drinks...it is the exceptional staff that makes this place shine. Alaska Airlines almost always has the best lounge staff as they are actually employees of the airlines (versus outside contractors like other airlines) -- and the staff seems to genuinely care about their customers. Case in point...on my way to Tennessee on my wife's birthday recently, I happened to mention our travel plans in passing to the bartender on duty -- Kim -- in the lounge while getting a drink...about 5 minutes later and totally unexepectedly, Kim shows up at our table with a delicious birthday brownie for my wife...my wife cried as she was so happy with the gesture! But having been a regular in this lounge for several years...this is just what all of the staff does there....it is a great team that honestly makes me forget about a lot of the other issues that we have when traveling...oh, and the lounge food and drinks are pretty good as well for a lounge! A++ on the PDX Alaska lounge!

As of November 2023, this airport is in the middle of a major renovation. Construction can be seen from almost every area of the airport, including the view from this lounge. Alaska is a partner airline of American so access to this club may be included in your access to their Admiral's Club. My CC gets me into both and it is always a welcomed environment compared to the general terminal. Sometimes you just want a snack or a cold drink and don't want to have to pay $10 or $15 for the pleasure. Access to these clubs meet those needs for me. Don't get me wrong, most don't have over-the-top food selections but almost always have enough of a selection to satisfy the craving until my next meal. Staff in this location was friendly and helpful. It's a smaller lounge but I didn't have any problem finding food, drink and a comfortable place to sit. They have some cocktails for free, others are for sale. Just depends on which brand of wine or alcohol your prefer. Fountain drinks are available through one of those 100-in-1 machines. Coffee also available through an automated machine. Food items on my day including some desserts like cookies, make your own tacos, chips and some soups. Enough to get me through. Will visit again the next time I'm there. Enjoy!

I'm a loyal American Airlines traveler and when I was flying out of PDX and there was no Admiral's Lounge, I used this lounge instead, since they share with each other. The lady checking me in was very helpful, fast and nice and the other staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful as well. They have a very nice breakfast, one that's better than AA's in fact! Bagels and Lox with all the accoutrement, eggs, breads and something that's really cool - an automatic pancake making machine! It actually works and makes fresh pancakes to order. The restroom was really clean and so was the rest of the lounge. The lounge is slightly on the small size, but there was plenty of seating available when I visited. I'll definitely return when back at this airport!

I wasn't expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised by the food, drink, and especially the friendly and helpful employees of the lounge. My wife, her mom, and I came to the Escape lounge in Concourse D on a Saturday, and were greeted by a super friendly and chipper attendant who checked us in. There are many ways to gain entry, two of which I had privileges: via Priority Pass (provided by Chase Sapphire Reserve) and via American Express access (provided by the AMEX Delta Reserve if flying on a Delta flight). Unlike the nearby Delta Skyclub, one can enter even if on a Delta Basic ticket. It was easier using Priority Pass since those come with 2 additional guests, but did confirm that if there are capacity constraints, the AMEX guests would get priority. Once approved, an elevator (or stairs) must be taken up to enter the lounge. Once you enter, there are complementary lockers to store your stuff. The middle of the room has a small wooden rotunda, mimicking the style of the wooden ceiling at the airport. There is a small buffet with non-traditional choices (this day it was Indian, with butter chicken and naan, and other choices like sandwiches). A nice waiter came around to ask if I wanted a drink (I obliged with a local pils), and kept coming back to refill as I finished. The beer was very good, confirming how good the local beer here is in Portland. The bathrooms are nice but small, with full coverage stalls. Some people were asking about the sleeping rooms, and were told that it's first come/first serve. As I was leaving, I noticed how relaxed I was, before heading to board the plane. It definitely had a lot to do with the niceness of the employees at the airport, especially the folks at the Escape lounge.

I really liked my experience here for a few reasons. It is less busy so quieter. 3 areas of seating with lots of outlets. There is an business area if you need to print something or work on your laptop. I like the extra touches on the food and drink options. I like that they had a lot of fresh fruit (the other lounge usually runs out so disappointment for my kiddos), vegetarian sausage for the hot breakfast line up, and my favorite chia seed pudding as well as oatmeal, cereals, hard boiled eggs, cheeses and wide selection of baked goods. They had fresh fruit and mint for the lemonade, various Rishi tea options and candied ginger to upgrade your tumeric ginger tea. The decor is not as modern compared to all the renovated areas of PDX as mentioned by another review. However I would definitely come back if I am travelling with Delta. Thank you to the morning crew of this lounge for making my early morning flight experience a great one.

Is this the BEST Delta lounge of all the Delta lounges in all the world? No. Not even close. Is it…read moremy FAVORITE? Honestly, a little bit yes. There's some hometown pride influencing that decision - most Delta lounges have a mix of whatever-city-you're-in locals, a smattering of folks on long layovers, and then just general riffraffery. BUT: The Portland Delta lounge is nearly 100% hometown PDX locals. No one lays over in Portland. It's a hub to nowhere. Almost everyone in the lounge has just come, bright-eyed and bushy tailed, from their very own domicile, and is headed out to The Big Wide World (mostly Seattle, LAX, or SLC TBH, and then on to Parts Unknown). I just love copping a squat in the PDX Delta Lounge and listening to Nike employees on conference calls talking about retail design that one day soon I'll see on the feet of assorted overgrown adolescents, smiling at old couples wearing "tactical pants" excited to go on their vacation to Tulum or Portland-style ladies in wide-toed clogs and flowy jewel-toned caftans, and the occasional cluster of North Face-wearing weirdos. What I'm saying is: My love for the PDX sky club is inextricably linked with my love for my beautiful, flawed, perfect, and wonderful city. I have been coming here for SO MANY years that I recognize everyone at the front desk. I know the guy that walks around asking everyone if they need anything. I know enough not to order a drink at the bar (if you want to get crunk, do it somewhere where the booze is not... terrible), I know their schedule of when they switch over from breakfast to lunch, I remember the lounge before they expanded it (a much needed expansion, but still not "too much"!) and I have a few "favorite places to sit". I know where they keep the hand lotion in the ladies' room and I know which direction to turn if I want a view of planes taking off vs a view of the concourse below. I've taken umpteen time-lapse videos of both. The lounge is great. The Portland airport is great, but I love this lounge so much that I regularly choose to hang out in here INSTEAD OF in the wide world of the PDX airport (which again, is EXCELLENT and full of so many wonderful wares and comestibles) because it is my comfy womfy airport happy place. Plugs galore, friendly staff, friendly clientele (but not TOO friendly - people keep to themselves as they oughta), and oodles of old-school charm. It's not run-down, but it hasn't been bells-and-whistles upgraded to within an inch of its life like some other lounges we know of. The PDX Delta lounge is function over form, but the form is a solid performer as well. In any case - if you're a Delta frequent flier, don't sleep on the lounge. Or hey - sleep IN the lounge! Just keep your feet of the furniture, you animal, and don't miss your flight!
