Here at the Escape Lounge at PDX. As you enter staff checks you in then you take the elevator upstairs. Buffet area had pulled pork, corn, pasta, potatoes and more. Coffee making machines were both full. Staff walking by ask him for assistance. He went to clear out both coffee makers. Just pick the coffee you want and hit the button. Bar area was life of the party. There were private sleeping rooms too. Chocolate chip cookies were yummy. Soft and chewy.
The Escape Lounge is located in Concourse D of PDX, between gates 8-10. It recently won the Lounge of the year in Global category. It was a fantastic lounge with beautiful modern interior and gorgeous lighting. The wooden tree panels were aesthetic, the bar was huge and all the sitting space were wonderfully designed. The staff members were active and kept the place really tidy and clean. When we came here, it wasn't too busy. The check-in process was easy at the front desk. Since we came late in the evening, there were dinner dishes served. There were options for salad, cheese, vegetables, rice, pita, and couple of protein dishes. There were snack, cookies, fruits and cereals available as well. For drinks they had sodas, hot drinks and alcohol. Some of the dishes I tried tasted decent to me. Overall it was a nice break time for us before taking the 5 hours long flight.
This lounge is located nearby D8-D10. It was quite crowded when I came, which was expected since it's a Priority Pass lounge so a lot of credit card holders can access it. There's lots of single private chairs and group tables available while the view is of the airport tarmac or PDX interior. The food today was a selection of: Tomato bisque, pulled pork, baked beans, turkey sandwich, pasta, roasted potatoes, and a salad bar. There's also a coffee machine, juice selection, and bartender for drinks. Great lounge to wait and relax before your flight.
This is one of the better lounges that I have been to. It is in Concourse D at PDX, between gates D8 and D 10., . I got in with my Priority Pass, you can also get in with certain premium credit cards, or you can pay for access, and the price is very reasonable for what you get. It's a beautiful space. Lots of room, comfortable, and plenty of USB ports and plugs to charge your gear. They also have at least one private working room, where you can get your business done if you need to. For planespotters, on one end of the lounge, you have a good view of the ramp and gates, on the other end of the lounge, you have a nice view of the runway, with an absolutely gorgeous view of Mount Hood. The food was overall , very good. Several hot choices including soup, they also had premade sandwiches, make your own sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc.... My absolute favorite was the pulled pork. A Tangy BBQ sauce, and the pork was just so tender... I thought the pasta was OK, nothing spectacular, the vegetarian beans were very good, I couldn't taste the difference, and the "spicy potatoes" had just a little bit of a "kick" to them . I didn't try the little corn in the cob "nubs", because I just don't care for them There is also a full bar available. The lounge also has showers on a first come first serve basis. The shower is handicapped accessible, with a handheld showerhead, and a "bath bench". The shower rooms are very clean, and it is an absolutely fantastic way to freshen up before, after, or even between your flights. I felt like a new man. I was just as ugly as before, but at least I felt refreshed... :). Thank you for a fantastic way to relax before my flight.
Surprisingly large, and uncrowded at the Portland airport, the Escape Lounge provided a complementary place to eat/drink while we waited for our flight back to Los Angeles. I wasn't expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised by the food, drink, and especially the friendly and helpful employees of the lounge. My wife, her mom, and I came to the Escape lounge in Concourse D on a Saturday, and were greeted by a super friendly and chipper attendant who checked us in. There are many ways to gain entry, two of which I had privileges: via Priority Pass (provided by Chase Sapphire Reserve) and via American Express access (provided by the AMEX Delta Reserve if flying on a Delta flight). Unlike the nearby Delta Skyclub, one can enter even if on a Delta Basic ticket. It was easier using Priority Pass since those come with 2 additional guests, but did confirm that if there are capacity constraints, the AMEX guests would get priority. Once approved, an elevator (or stairs) must be taken up to enter the lounge. Once you enter, there are complementary lockers to store your stuff. The middle of the room has a small wooden rotunda, mimicking the style of the wooden ceiling at the airport. There is a small buffet with non-traditional choices (this day it was Indian, with butter chicken and naan, and other choices like sandwiches). A nice waiter came around to ask if I wanted a drink (I obliged with a local pils), and kept coming back to refill as I finished. The beer was very good, confirming how good the local beer here is in Portland. The bathrooms are nice but small, with full coverage stalls. Some people were asking about the sleeping rooms, and were told that it's first come/first serve. As I was leaving, I noticed how relaxed I was, before heading to board the plane. It definitely had a lot to do with the niceness of the employees at the airport, especially the folks at the Escape lounge.
Amazing lounge in PDX - at the end of D Gates. I got in with my Priority Pass. Beautiful, and the food is outstanding. Lots of seating (not full during the week when I was there). There are complimentary lockers and showers in the bathrooms. Views on almost all sides. Well worth it.
I really like this lounge. One of the nicer Escape lounge's I've been too. Super clean. Staff are super friendly. I had a late flight out & the night I was here they had a really yummy butter chickpea zucchini & pesto pasta salad. They have 2 beds as well but both were occupied when I was here. I had a few gin & tonics which really helped me sleep on the plane. It also won Priority Pass Lounge of the year for 2026!
First of all: you can fucking sleep here. Second of all: you can fucking sleep here! This is unlike any Alaska Airlines lounge or most any other airline or credit card lounge, for that matter. In fact, this lounge is single-handedly the only reason I renewed one of my credit cards with an outrageous annual fee. Not only can you sleep here though, the service and food are also better. When I walked in I was handed a mimosa and told about the quiet rooms (with beds). And when I went to check one out, they asked me if I needed help getting the bed setup! I had an amazing HOUR of sleep here when my flight was delayed. I just hope this place doesn't become overcrowded like every other airport lounge. I will definitely be back!
Quite a nice lounge! Priority pass access available (as of 05/2026). Seemed that they had an all day hot food buffet. When I went (about 3pm-5pm on a weekday) the options were fantastic and I was able to load a plate even with vegetarian options. They had very nice espresso machine operating. The bartenders were very kind and helpful, though I was sticking to ginger ale they had many great options available. Would return to this lounge if I'm back in PDX!
If you're coming to kill time while getting fantastic customer service and drinks, then this is your place!!! They have great cocktails and staff- Luis was a gem!! He was super attentive and had such a great personality to connect with. Now If you're coming for an actual meal, don't. Eat elsewhere, PDX has significantly better food choices. The buffet isn't the worst, it's clean and taken care of... but the flavor and items are really strange in my opinion. Not my preferred flavor profile. Overall, best place to chill before a flight!!
The Escape Lounge inside Portland International Airport (PDX) is a great spot to chill if you're early for your flight. I tend to arrive early for all my travels to avoid stress TSA line (or just traffic to a new airport, in general). This is very nice when there's a lot of lounges tied to airlines. The Escape Lounge has an checkin process so don't lets the lady at the "concierge desk" fool you. She will direct you to scan QR code displayed at the entrance. Once you app check in, the app uses a helpful queue system that alerts you when it's your turn to enter. The lounge is located on the 2nd floor and once enter there are small lockers to stow personal items. There are plenty of seats but I saw a lot of folks hanging by the bar (additional fee for alcohols)! Ha! I went straight to the "hot bar" -- pasta, roasted potatoes, etc. It's well-stocked with chips + snacks and fruit is perfect if your flight falls between meal times. The food is replenished quickly and the bathrooms are clean.
We always love coming to the lounge before our flight, food is always available and open bar. Chocolate chip cookies during dinner hour are 10/10!

They have a small selection of hot foods, nothing to rave about. Bar had draft beer, cocktails and wines included. I had a HAZY IPA which was great. I also saw some local breweries available like Great Notion. They also have a COAVA COFFEE machine. Self serve. The espresso was strong and had lots of crema so that was impressive! Cookies, glazed donuts, variety of chips and a tomato soup this visit. There was a salad that was loaded with squash and cheese. The lounge is in Concourse D, between gates D8 and D10.
I stopped by this lounge when fly from PDX. The place is located between D8 and D10. With Priority Pass that allows you to check in many airport lounges around the world. This lounge is decorated nicely, clean, and bright. It offers various types of seatings, work stations, group or individual. Buffet with hot food, snacks, drinks (non and alcohol drinks). Also shower rooms. Checked in was smooth and staff were friendly. You can walk up stair to a lounge or take elevator. read more
I used priority pass to access Escape Lounge and had visited this place twice now. The space was beautiful and staff were nice. There were things I didn't quite like, too such as: 1) limited food selection and 2) no soda fountain/vending (you have to resort to going up to a bar to get a glass of soda). Otherwise, the place was great! It could be crowded at times, though..but there were plenty of seating selection (single, couple or larger tables) to pick from and with plenty of proper electrical outlets, too. read more
Love this place! One of the best lounges and it shows. Great staff, decent food, lots of seating including areas with windows to see planes taking off But enough about that, probably want to know about drinks? They had an ipa and a local cider on tap. They can make you mixed drinks but top shelve is extra. They had makers mark so that was plenty good for me. Make sure you tip your servers, they work hard here. As for the food, I remember eating sliced turkey and cheese. They had a soup, some fruit, and home made cookies that were terrific. Don't expect a full meal here even tho they had more than this. Bathroom is behind bar. I sat in one of the pods after the soccer game since I'm a party of one. My friend said Abraham is responsible for this award winning lounge. I didnt meet him unfortunately but if you can get in here, it's worth coming and definitely one of the best lounge experiences. read more

I've had the fortune of being in this lounge while traveling to and connecting through the Portland airport. The location of the Escape Lounge is on the D concourse so if your planner, note that you could be on the opposite side with your departure gate, and that might be a 15 min walk from one terminal to another. Checking in at the lounge was straightforward via the American Express Eligibility code. You do need to take the elevator upstairs if you have bags, as there are a series of stairs. Once you get upstairs, there's a great view of both the runway as well as an overlook of the terminal concourse. There is a full bar & just like all other places, they're complementary drinks along with Premium cocktails, and they're very clearly shelved to help anyone understand what they wanna mix. As far as the food is concerned, I like the variety of snacks ranging from chips, cookies, donuts & fruit, but also some lounge food and sandwiches. Not all of the food was to my immediate liking, but I like the fact that the staff kept refreshing items at a prompt pace as needed, as well as keeping the area clean. Bartenders were great and nice, and the staff that was responsible for cleaning did an excellent job of following through. I would definitely arrive here early again to be in the lounge as it's chill & comfortable. They also have two TVs over the bar area to stay connected during major sporting events. read more
Experienced this spot during a layover at PDX and it was the perfect place to hang during our layover. Admission was $45, which we paid in advance. It is WELL worth it. Unlimited food and drinks. They even have servers waiting on you. Our waiter kept our wine glasses filled. They had a great selection of foods and accommodated dietary restrictions. I noticed a coffee machine but didn't partake because I intend to sleep on my next flight. We will definitely be back! Super clean restrooms, outlets galore- it's a travelers dream. read more
With the use of my Priority Pass Card, I had access to the Escape Lounge without any need for a reservation. This lounge seems to have opened quite recently and I have to say it was such a refreshing site to see when arriving at the airport. This location is probably one of the nicer PP Lounges in the States you could find (outside of Chase Sapphire Reserve Lounges). After you check-in with the front desk, you can take the flight of stairs or elevator and head out to the second floor. With ample lighting and tons of seating selections you can enjoy a closed off quiet room with dim lighting, individual egg chairs with a working desk, booths, and even a kids play area. They had a wide array of seating areas With a full bar smackdab in the center you can enjoy your signature drink of choice. What stood out to me was how they had shower rooms available for use which were individual rooms outside of their standard bathrooms. There was a mini buffet of hot and cold foods, fruit, yogurt, soups, and more. It was pretty solid and filling which was a plus. read more
My fiancé and I visited this lounge on our way home, one a Tuesday afternoon. It is located near gate D8/D1 which can be accessed whether you in the D or E gates. If you're in the B & C gates, I heard you can go through a hallway to access it too! From the beginning, ie. The outside, i could tell it's the nicest escape lounge I've been to. It's also the biggest escape lounge I've ever been to - and the front desk team confirmed it. It was beautiful. And the front desk team was very friendly and welcoming. Once we sat down (and there was ample places to seat with ample outlets for chatting!), a guest services member immediately offered yo get us drinks and help us in any way. Food bar was very impressive with great food options (Thai green curry, mixed veggies, donuts, salad bar, very good meatballs!) and many drink options. We enjoyed our time! It was comfortable and we felt spoiled! And will definitely come again! read more

We have visited a few lounges now through our Priority Pass with Capital One Venture X. The Escape Lounge has been one on the better ones so far. We came in on a Monday morning before our flight. It's on the second floor of Terminal D, so it's a bit out of the way if your flight is in one of the other terminals. There are really the only downside. It was not crowded when we visited and there was a nice breakfast spread including eggs, sausage, bacon, cereals, fruit and some other items. There was a good selection of coffees options. The lounge itself was clean and well maintained. There is a full bar which is included with your entry. This was not expected and a nice surprise, so we went with a Bloody Mary and mimosas. Both were delicious. We got a nice spot near the window and spent about an hour here. Definitely a must do if you have time to kill at PDX. read more

I like how it is open at 3:30am. However, the hot food does not start till 5:30am. So that part was a slight bummer. The pastries and cereal were great. Service was wonderful. Friendly staff. The space was big with lots of comfortable seating. It was nice and calm inside. Very pretty decor. We ate some fruit and cereal. read more

The lounge is complimentary for AE holders, priority pass and a few other partner perks. It has pretty nice views of the sunrise. The food selection is limited and the bar was pretty basic. Food selection includes fruit (cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, pineapple, grapes), there were some unpeeled oranges, bananas, apples as well as well as yogurt with fruit in it. Few pastry options, hot and cold cereal. Coffee machine and a water dispenser with still or sparkling options. It has many seating options and a private work room. It is $40-45 depending on how you book otherwise. I don't think it is worth it unless you really need to utilize the shower and have a super long layover. They allow up to 3 hours before your flight. All staff were friendly. Last thought. I wish they had an escalator since the lounge is upstairs from check in and there is one small elevator or stairs. read more

After getting the new Chase Sapphire card one of the best perks in having access to Priority Pass which means I can hang out at the Escape Lounge at the PDX airport. There wasn't a line so we checked in with a boarding pass and the priority pass card. What's really great is you can bring up to 2 people free of charge. The elevator is fun with floor to ceiling roses and the design is very Portland! There is an elevator as well as stairs. Lots of wood material, greens and earth tones and beautiful glass leaves hanging from the ceiling. The food station has many options (breakfast) oatmeal with a topping bar, eggs, potatoes, sausage, fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt with a topping bar, pastries muffins bread, tea, juice and fancy coffee drinks. The bartender is awesome and free cocktails make the lounge a great option! Lots of different seating areas too. read more
Food was decent but not mind blowing. Busy day in the lounge. They have lockers for free where you can store your items. Food choice today was Jasmine rice and hummus and some mushroom and chicken sauce. A few sweet treats etc. There were other things like sandwiches and salads etc. I think my favorite was actually the carrots. The worker I bumped into wasn't that friendly like at all. They obviously hated my outfit or the way I pronounced the word worchestire or something. Concierge person at the main floor was pleasant. Would come back again. Mostly because it's still better than waiting at the gate. read more

Such a nice perk from my Chase Sapphire Reserve card. The food quality is excellent with many choices. I particularly liked the fresh mango cubes. The lounge is very spacious compared to many that I've been inside at various airports. Everything feels first class with excellent service from the attendants that work in the lounge. read more

This was my first time at an escape lounge: Staff: really friendly and cleaned tables/restocked the food bar quickly Interior: calm and relaxing. love that you can watch planes from both sides of the lounge. also the shower restrooms looked very modern They had a lot of food and drink options for breakfast but where I did take off a star is they don't provide any to go cups. It's probably the first lounge I've been to that doesn't provide any. That's usually my favorite part about airport lounges is being able to bring a coffee/tea for my flight. read more

A beautiful lounge in PDX! I last visited this airport in 2023 and they have made some major improvements since then :) This lounge is a great addition! It's located in Concourse D, next to Gate D8. I entered with my Priority Pass membership and brought in one guest. The employees checking me in were very welcoming and friendly. The lounge is upstairs, and has a TON of seating with large open windows facing some of the runways. The interior is beautiful with really nice seating and decor. Everything is included, food and drinks. We got the breakfast menu, which included eggs, potatoes, sausages, oatmeal+toppings, cottage cheese, yogurt, fruit, pastries, and more! They also had a nice coffee machine and juices and water spout. The employees were super attentive and always came by to grab empty plates, I appreciated their high level of service. Didn't get a chance to try the full bar but maybe next time! The only thing was I couldn't connect to wi-fi properly, maybe I sat too close to the window so I didn't have a great connection. Not a big deal since I didnt stay in the lounge for too long. Overall, I will definitely return to this lounge whenever I visit Portland! read more
