This is our amazing pup from UFAR, I named him Archie!

EVERYTHING! From the moment I saw the pup online and messaged with Kerry to our first meeting and conclusively, adopting our newest addition, it was an amazing experience! Debra & Kerry who assisted me with everything are simply the best! This rescue is top notch!!! Thank you for bringing more love into my life UFAR!!

I am so grateful to UFAR for helping me find the newest addition to my family. Debra went above and beyond to make sure I had all of the necessary information about how to properly care for my new kitty and did a thorough screening to make sure he was going to a great home. It shows just how much the staff truly cares about the animals at the rescue. If you're thinking about adopting, this is the place to go!

Our precious Briggite was adopted from UFAR they are a wonderful organization that rescues abandoned cats and dogs

Love the wonderful people at UFAR! They rescue abandoned cats and dogs and give them care, love and a chance to find their forever homes

If I could give zero stars I would. All because of a lady named Debra. Comments are in pictures attached. Would have wrote it out. Still heartbroken about this for my daughter. Debra should not be a part of any virtual visits! She only has her own agenda then lies about the whole process because she does not want you to have the rescue. She stated that we were a no show for a virtual visit and we have phone records to prove otherwise. So, we have someone in charge that lies because she does not want you to have the rescue. You can talk to me the way you want because I'm a grown up. But when you talk down and belittle to my daughter that's when I've had enough. Please eliminate Debra from the selection process.

It's a rare experience to be able to share an hour or so with so many beautiful cats and dogs that are all neutered and desperate for love in some caring person's home. I've been to many no kill shelters, but this one is truly outstanding. The staff is so warm and generous with their love for these homeless animals. I have trouble holding back the tears when I see so many beautiful pets that only need a child or adult to befriend them. The care they receive here at the wait station is marvellous. They are easy to find in a shopping Center in Margate near the Dollar Store and the Aztec RV Resort.

Had a great experience here. Started on petfinder and they responded right away even though they were closed Monday. Filled out application abs Tuesday debra called to get me approved. She gave great tips and even followed up after we adopted. The shelter is small but the cats seem very cozy and content. We stayed a long time and it was hard to choose. But Wyatt chose us and the process went smooth and easy. He came home happy, healthy and clean. They have cats of all ages so please go or donate. Great experience.

UFAR is truly a godsend. In the last 4 months my family has fostered 3 kittens for them, my mom adopted one and my partner adopted a puppy. Viviane knows every single animals entire history and can match up families with animals that are perfect for them. Throughout my weeks going back and forth to the rescue, I got many opportunities to see her and her team in action and can speak to the entire process, from fostering to adoption, home visits, and volunteering. I highly recommend them for all of the above. They take in every animal, without discrimination. They take the sick, the elderly, and spend thousands on their care. I've seen them save senior Yorkies with health complications, rowdy dogs that they trained and tamed, and place kittens in the right foster homes for socialization to get them ready for adoption. I really can't recommend them enough. They took one of our former fosters to the emergency vet on a weekend, no questions asked, no worries about what it would cost them, as soon as they saw she wasn't acting properly or eating due to an issue with her teeth. Everything they do, they do out of love. If you're looking for somewhere to volunteer, looking to foster, or looking to adopt, they can set you up for success!

This is a great animal rescue in Margate. We had been looking for a poodle for about a year since the start of the pandemic and found ours here on Petfinder. We went through the interview process by submitting an application and doing a FaceTime with one of the directors, and picked up the dog the same day. The place is very clean and efficiently run, with high turnover rate on the animals, they don't keep them in there very long. Animal got all shots and they even assisted with finding a vet to do the neuter inexpensively. Highly recommended.

They care a great deal for their animals but they need funding badly. They accept food and all kids of donations

Since I am 19 and was informed that I needed to be 21+ to adopt, I planned to have my mother on FaceTime while I looked at the kittens and considered my options. Unfortunately, the experience changed once we were introduced to another staff member. Her attitude toward both me and my sister came across as extremely passive-aggressive and unwelcoming. We clearly explained that we were interested in adopting a single kitten, but she repeatedly insisted that the kittens could not be adopted individually because they had formed bonds with other cats. While I understand that some kittens may benefit from being adopted in pairs, I had done research beforehand and felt that the situation was presented to us as an absolute rule rather than being explained on a case-by-case basis. We were then directed toward a room with older cats that were described as being newer to the center. There was also confusion regarding one of the cats' names, which further contributed to the experience feeling unprofessional and disorganized. When we asked to see the kittens we had originally come to meet, we felt as though there was very little effort made to accommodate that request. Instead, the staff member seemed frustrated about having to go "back and forth" and ultimately escorted us out of the building. I completely understand that adoption centers have policies and that staff members have to make decisions based on the animals' well-being. However, there is a significant difference between enforcing a policy and making potential adopters feel unwelcome or dismissed. We came in with good intentions and a genuine interest in providing a kitten with a loving home, so I was disappointed by the way the situation was handled. The first two ladies we interacted with were kind and respectful, but unfortunately, the interaction with the other staff member overshadowed the rest of the experience. I hope management takes this feedback into consideration, because prospective adopters should feel informed, respected, and welcomed when visiting an adoption center.

Actually Dollar stores are better. This visit... the doctor was a hard no. Walked in, didn't introduce himself, immediately started handling my cat like we weren't even there. No warmth, no basic respect. When I asked questions, his responses were short, snide, and borderline accusatory. Just weird energy overall--like he didn't even want to be there and was lowkey annoyed he had to interact. Zero empathy. Not even the bare minimum "your pet might feel this after treatment" type of heads up. My cat was crying for hours after we got home and I was left guessing if that was normal. That's unacceptable. Honestly, if he could've just pretended to care for 2 minutes, I probably wouldn't even be writing this.
