    100 year anniversary cupcake

LAX was our second Polaris lounge visit for this trip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location was smaller, more crowded and louder (engine noise) due to being surrounded by active gates.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food menu was different than SFO. We decided to just graze the buffet since the restaurant menu was not that enticing and we were still mostly full from our earlier stop in SFO. The mushroom pappardelle pasta was a little bit clumpy but tasty. Oatmeal raisin cookie was the best tasting dessert option even though the lounge was promoting the UA 100 year anniversary of United Airlines cupcake. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As time ground on, the lounge filled up and United definitely needed to expand as there wasn't enough seats for all the customers flying out that night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Glad we arrived early and secured our own table.

Overall: 5 stars A lounge where I would and did go out of my way for. There's nothing more exciting than enjoying a pre fixe right before your travels and the dining room at the polaris lounge offers that exact opportunity. Accessible for all star alliance international business passengers, this somewhat small lounge offers a grand offering of table serving and buffet options akin to first class lounge service. In addition to the expansive dining and drink offerings, the private bathroom and shower suites offer more privacy and comfort for pre flight cleansing routines, which is an underrated amenity of the lounge. Very glad to have visited this lounge. Roasted Pear Salad - sweet and vibrant salad that is easy on the palette and refreshing. Five Spice Chicken - the chicken is well flavored with the spice blend, but unfortunately the broth lacks saline and depth beyond the herbaceous note that is critical in a pho broth. Vanilla Rum Cake - warm and delicious petite dessert with the salted caramel adding decadence; some cream which I omitted would also add levity. This lounge is in terminal 7 near gate 75. Take the elevator up to 4th floor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Compared to the lounge at Bradley terminal, this one has a more intimate setting and not as big and less upscale feeling, but it has all the amenities including shower suites.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My favorite thing about this place is the fact that there's a full service sit down restaurant, albeit small they have really good food and worth giving it a try if you have the time. Keep in mind there can be a wait when they're busy.

Great selection of food at every time of day. Delicious homemade cookies and always fresh healthy options from the buffet. The restaurant gets booked up but has a small menu with decent options. Always love a Polaris burger. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely snag a shower if you can. You can request a myriad of toiletries.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

If you're used to regular United Clubs, this place might feel like an upgrade. But stack it against other Star Alliance lounges and it's clear this one just doesn't keep up. Right off the bat, the food looked like it had been sitting out way too long. Nothing looked fresh, nothing looked exciting--though to be fair, the selection and quality were better than a typical United spread. Low bar, but still. Service was the real weak spot. After we ate, we had to move because nobody was clearing tables. As the lounge filled up, people were literally pushing dirty plates aside just to sit down. Staff walked right past messy tables without lifting a finger. Most seemed checked out--only one person bothered to acknowledge us at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Meanwhile, a guy nearby was yelling on speakerphone, and no one suggested he use a booth or even offered him headphones.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Behind the bar, three or four employees were standing around while one person handled all the drink orders. It felt unorganized and uninterested across the board. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And like the United Lounge, once the place got busy, good luck finding a seat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bottom line: yes, it's a step above a standard United Club, but that's about it. If I had the choice, I'd take the Star Alliance Lounge in the international terminal or the Maple Leaf Lounge in T6 any day.

When it comes to flying United Business Class, most of us are simply... tolerating it. I don't personally know anyone who loves it or recommends it with enthusiasm. The biggest highlight, honestly, is their app. It's genuinely world-class...whoever built it deserves a medal, because it runs circles around every other airline app out there. The second best thing is the United Lounge at LAX. You can actually sit down in their little restaurant section and order off a menu. The food itself isn't anything groundbreaking, but having made-to-order eggs and some crispy bacon beats picking through a buffet any day. Other than those two positives, I can't say much. Service in the air is consistently the worst, and the onboard food... well, that's a whole separate review. lol

I liked: Sweet Potatoe Cake Pumpkin Waffle Roasted Tomato Shashuka Açaí Breakfast Bowl These were ok: Matcha Smoothie Oat Milk Latte Polaris Lounge at LAX was a fun experience for a first timer like me. I was so tempted to order everything on the menu but tried to be good The pumpkin waffle is decent. It is not overly pumpkiny and pairs well with the hot honey chicken. The chicken is fine. A little undercooked in the middle but still crispy and tasty overall. The matcha smoothie is just ok. It is fairly watery and does not feel much like a smoothie. The Sweet Potato Cake is solid. A simple appetizer that doesn't do anything extra but still satisfying. The açaí bowl is tasty but I wish it had more substance or texture. The oat milk latte is just ok. Very plain and not very bold in flavor. The roasted tomato shakshuka is fine. I wish the bread was warmer and crustier instead of hard but the tomatoes and eggs had nice flavor. Service is good. They are quick to help with anything you ask for. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is nicely decorated and the space feels calm and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can see why some people pay for lounge access. If I was just coming for the food I would not say it is worth it but having showers, quiet space, and a place to change makes sense if you have money to spend. #goodeats

When flying Polaris class with United, you have the opportunity to use this club. The club is found in terminal seven upstairs. Access can be had by using the elevator or the stairs around the corner. The club provides a welcome relief from all the hustle and bustle in terminal seven. A place to relax before your flight with some food and drinks all while watching planes. In a Saturday morning before our flight, we popped in for some breakfast. Just before 8am, the club was still quiet. We were informed that the sit down restaurant is not open till 8am, but food can be ordered anywhere. The menu has been paired down quite a bit. Chef Ricardo overheard my disappointment that eggs Benedict was not longer on the menu. He quickly offered to make me some: what a welcomed surprise! He brought out a beautiful plate of eggs Benedict with a side of potatoes. He even brought me a side of sauce! Thanks for chef Ricardo for making my experience a good one at the club! Plus to enjoy my meal, I hit my fix in espresso martinis! Some of the best espresso martinis around as made with fresh espresso!

Had the lounge access on the way to our trip to Japan and it was so convenient a nice treat. Had a delicious Illy latte, a couple cocktails and a light breakfast. Service was on it and so welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only gripe is there are hardly any seats available so a lot of people are standing around trying to find a spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our party luckily found a couple seats for two of us

One thing I would like to emphasize about this lounge is that one particular Asian male server who works at the dining section is simply awesome! He's always friendly, efficient, professional, and will answer any questions regarding the dishes they serve. Since Polaris inflight meal quality has been lowered particularly after COVID, I try to have decent meal here prior to boarding nowadays so that I could skip inflight meal. ;) Please note it gets very busy during the evening intl departure 'rush hours' (for HKG, SYD, MEL timing) due to their rather small space unlike SFO Polaris Lounge.

    Irene E.

LAX T7 Their guacamole is wonderful, so is the clam chowder. The open lounge is very pleasant and calm for the many hours we're here. Perhaps they're the only lounge that has no time limit, as of now. The agents are very helpful at front desk. UA app can get you in if you forget your credit card. Unlike Amex's Centurion lounge - 3 hour rule, this lounge is lenient in terms when you can check in - our flight is 9 hours away. Last time with Centurion in Buenos Aires, although it was transfer and does NOT fall under the 3-hour rule but the manager there insisted their 3-hr rule. Bathroom stalls, at time, could use some cleaning. No shower. The wine glasses can use some improvement - I know I'm asking a lot -:)

    Can you bring a guest?

I don't think so, unless guest is also traveling in business class or has Globalist status.

I recently lost my blue Beats Studio on 8/6/19 around 5-7 PM. I was sitting in those couches near the tarmac window with the privacy walls and I might have left it in that general area. Is there a customer service number or email that I can contact?

Just call United and they can redirect to the right dept no problem. Presumably you are Elite so call the Elite number

This isn't the overpacked lounge with scroungy looking fruit and cups of yoplait. No, you order from a menu. I wish I'd had time to really peruse the menu - due to delays, our 3 hour layover was reduced to less than an hour. Because of time constraints, we both ordered a breakfast croissant. Perfectly scrambled eggs, thick crispy bacon, cheddar and avacado all nestled in a large, fresh croissant. Delicious. As it was breakfast time, a lovely display of morning baked goods, both sweet and savory, were displayed for your choosing. There are small bags if you are just running through. We tried a jam bar and a palmier - both were also delicious. Mimosas were freely flowing and the bar was open. Cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites and even plain old regular black coffee is available. Just ask. There is an outdoor seating area that I would have loved to have had time to sit and enjoy. You have to check out the bathrooms - my husband was oddly excited about the individual stalls. I'm now sitting in a Sky Club in Atlanta. I'd normally be happy as could be, but now it's a bit of a let down. It's time to just shake off the fairyland of flying Delta One and come back to my Southwest Airlines basic fare lifestyle. In hindsight, I would have been better off spending my $35 eating at a restaurant in the terminal or taking the shuttle to the Centurion Lounge, where I could have entered for free. What really ruined the experience was another guest who was visibly intoxicated and repeatedly yelling at the television during the England vs. Mexico match. He mistakenly assumed I was Mexican (I'm Pacific Islander) and directed comments toward me throughout the game. I thought the staff had removed him, but when I went to the quiet seating area to relax, he was there again continuing to be disruptive. The purpose of an airport lounge is to provide a peaceful, comfortable place to unwind before a flight. Unfortunately, this lounge failed to deliver that experience, and I would not pay for access again.

In one word: disappointed. THE FOOD: While there were more options than a typical lounge, quantity didn't make up for quality. The food simply didn't compare to the Centurion Lounge in taste or execution. Even more surprising, several items ran out and sat empty for a while before staff noticed or replenished them. THE SERVICE: This was a mixed bag. On the positive side, when I asked about a specific item being restocked, the manager personally brought out a fresh plate of my favorite dish, which was appreciated. That said, the overall attentiveness felt inconsistent (see below). THE AMBIANCE: It's definitely more private and feels a bit more "exclusive"... but not necessarily more comfortable. The main seating area was extremely warm. When I asked about it, I was told it was due to the sun pouring in through the large windows. Unfortunately, that didn't make the experience any less uncomfortable--I was genuinely miserable trying to relax before my flight. Bottom line: For the premium price, I expected a noticeably elevated experience across the board. Instead, it felt like a modest upgrade in space, but a downgrade in comfort and food quality. Not worth the hype or the cost.
