    Made to order guacamole!!!
    Rhonda S.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a very nice Admiral's Lounge in terminal 4 of LAX. I was impressed walking in and seeing how clean and organized it was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The nice touch was the made to order guacamole station at the end of the bar tonight. So fresh! It was a Mastercard promotion and it was very nice. Manuel the bartender was very personable and fast. I felt welcome the minute I walked up to the bar. The Chardonnay is complimentary and it was very nice. I decided to purchase a Sauvignon blanc as it was not on the club menu. It was dry and crisp. The snacks are very good, the cauliflower rice was delicious. I also appreciated the variety of cheeses and flat bread. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating and outlets to charge your devices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you!

I went up to the Admirals Club at LAX on a Sunday afternoon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was crowded, which is pretty normal for that time and that airport, but even with the crowd it was still a nice place to be.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had refreshments out, the food and drink options were decent, and the staff were kind and professional. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It gave me a place to sit, relax a bit, and get ready for the flight.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No complaints from me on this visit. I am giving the Admirals Club at LAX 4 stars.

I'm less impressed with this location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's small, although well appointed and comfortable for domestic flights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told the restrooms are in the main airport - no club restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Frankly, the non-public restrooms (generally cleaner and less crowded) are part of the draw to membership.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food this morning was decent - omelets and chicken sausage. Only one container (small) of regular coffee which continually ran out and was not promptly replaced. If this lounge had been my initial intro to Admiral's Club membership, I would not have paid to join. American Airlines has better, bigger and more relaxing options at just about any other airport. Surprising for a major hub like LAX.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Quite interesting since I think th lounge is remodeling or something since this is just a setup at the window gate seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's still privacy and got drinks and snacks but you can heard everything within the airport.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also bathrooms are outside. Bar is great (always), very nice and friendly staff. Good snacks choices. And compliment WiFi.

Food: 4* Service: Second floor check in: 1* Inside lounge: 4* Ambiance :3* The food is good to okay. Often it is like locusts trying to get food. So many people filling their plates like there won't be any left after them. Geez. Have some decorum. The food quality is getting better. The first floor check in are pleasant, helpful and professional. The second floor check in desk people are not. Even though you have already checked in, often you are asked to re-check in. For what purpose? Then the ladies are often chit chatting and being very slow during that process. I have heard more complaints by them about working for American than I care to as a paying customer. Do they think they are at home? Unprofessional. The service in the lounge itself was great. Constantly working, picking up dishes, refilling food and serving drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is nice. Relatively quiet, calm, and a welcomed respite from a non-lounge experience. I do find this T4 lounge to be very busy and packed with people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I shudder to think how bad it will be once the T5 Admirals Club closes for 2.5 years until 2028. Saddle up.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I will say that this probably the cleanest lounge I've ever been to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, due to probably the time I arrived late on a Monday night, this place did not have much activity.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employees checking in people outnumbered the staffers working inside the lounge. It was also surprising to see that larger meal items cost additional dollars versus what you see at other airport lounges where all the food comes included to your membership. I tried my meal plate and was not amused by the food. It's good to know this place exists, and I can't wait to see how else AA will grow within LAX

This is by far the best Admirals Club we've been in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is spacious, very organized and even has a coca-cola make your own flavor![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Yes you read right! The service was amazing today was complementary avocado toast which was delicious fresh California avocados! Bartenders and host were all amazing! Way to go LAX Admirals Club you've stole my heart here! Can't

Can you believe, you have to pay after buying a first class ticket?
    Peter M.

I suppose I have been to too many airport lounges. One cannot help but compare and even more, expect a consistent standard, especially if you're on a premium upper cabin ticket. It doesn't seem to matter anymore for American Airlines if you're a frequent flyer or how much you paid. So what I discovered flying internationally on American (after a very long time) actually shocked me, with what they had to offer for a first class ticket. They advertise abundantly about their airport lounges, especially at their hubs of Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Dallas-Fortworth. But what I observed was nothing but recycled hubris. At LAX, you don't get Flagship lounge access unless you're traveling long haul. If not you are directed to the Admirals Club. They should give it another name because all its offerings were meager and unimpressive. All the hot food offerings were generally tasteless, dry and definitely not fresh. The orange peel chicken was rubbery and like the fried rice, from a frozen package. Both soups were watery and without body or flavor. Cold options of southwest bean salad, hummus, were bland and tasted old or from a can. The open bar served cheap options of beer, wine, spirits and champagne. Best part of it all was the made to order guacamole station. That was good. Overall, the experience was a major disappointment. And so was the unfriendly reception staff to the lounge. They made you feel like they were doing you a favor to screen and then let you in. Now you know why the so called upscale lounges of American carriers, will never ever make it to the annual "World's Best" lists. The American Airlines Admirals Club, is an example of why they will never ever come close to competing with the amazing (and stunning) airport lounges of International carriers around the globe.

No salad, very low on cold cuts, and who knows what was supposed to be in bowl #1

Horrendous! The admiral club is a joke. The food is terrible like imagine the worst cafeteria food you have ever had. Plus they don't fill it up fast enough. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since they started the citi card with admiral club membership it's like they are phoning in the lounge aspect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]By lounge standards Delta's lounges far exceeds this excuse of a lounge.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] American Airlines should do better by their members and their customers.

Wireless charging station, oh and an ice cold beer!
    Aaron J.

Beats hanging out at the gate waiting for your flight! The chairs are a little more comfortable, there are plenty of snacks, drinks and even a bar at your disposal. All with out the noise and chaos of hanging out at the gate! Well done American Airlines .

The staff were friendly, and the food and drinks were basic, but the overall experience was not worth it. In hindsight, I would have been better off spending my $35 eating at a restaurant in the terminal or taking the shuttle to the Centurion Lounge, where I could have entered for free. What really ruined the experience was another guest who was visibly intoxicated and repeatedly yelling at the television during the England vs. Mexico match. He mistakenly assumed I was Mexican (I'm Pacific Islander) and directed comments toward me throughout the game. I thought the staff had removed him, but when I went to the quiet seating area to relax, he was there again continuing to be disruptive. The purpose of an airport lounge is to provide a peaceful, comfortable place to unwind before a flight. Unfortunately, this lounge failed to deliver that experience, and I would not pay for access again.

Normally, the buffets at Sky Clubs have a very reliably good chicken salad sandwich, which was missing. Instead, they had a pinwheel chipotle beef wrap sandwich that was good. I debated taking one to go as well, but decided against it. They had a nice mixed greens salad and an excellent and noteworthy broccoli bacon salad with red grapes and some type of creamy dressing. They also had pork carnitas from the hot side of the buffet. In addition, they had these mixed berry shortcakes served in mini Mason jars. They had strawberry shortcake served similarly on the East Coast. The brownies and rice krispie squares were good as well. This is why I declined to take another chipotle beef pinwheel to go. The flagship lounge at LAX is the top tier set up for American Airlines. Access here is free, provided you are going ultra long haul, overseas. If not, you pay $150, or sacrifice 15k AAdvantage miles, even though you're in the upper class cabin, traveling to another country. Another cheap shot, from American. Still, they cannot get the food service right. Let's not forget the bar, self service, is really high-end and unmatched. let's get back to the food. A lot of the stuff looks un appetizing, dried out. You can confirm, after picking up a selection or two, that most of it is tasteless. Even though, their food presentations have fancy names. Lol. But once in a way, there are a few gems in the display. This time it was that chocolate ganache tart, yes really spectacular. Surely catered (later displays were soggy). They also have a so called "live station" from 6 to 8 pm. This time, I was able to make it. This month's selection was seafood (shrimp and real crab meat) crêpes, mixed in with a mushroom concoction. It is topped with a white wine sauce. Note, the crepe shells (no browning), like everything else, was pre prepared. Only assembly on a hot plate. They need to rename this "assembly station". It was just a show and tell, just okay. It would have been something, if they prepared the crêpes fresh from a batter, in front of you, don't you think? Just that aroma and the real thing, would have been intoxicating, and something to write home about. But American Airlines does not care about that. They dominate certain routes from LAX. They know that. They also know, people will still visit and stay, in their lounges. So how was the on demand Bulgogi burger, ordered by scanning the qr code at your specific seat in a different part of the lounge? I was able to get it at my table away from the specialized area. It arrived fast. The beef was marinated and tender. The fried egg that was part of the burger, had the look consistency and taste, that you would get on a egg and sausage McMuffin. No complaints here. It was the best presentation. Everything was superb in this selection. This was the best item of the evening.
