Food is the typical healthy selection of vegetables, soups, 2 different chicken dishes, mashed potatoes, and other various items. Of course the bar selections were solid , I enjoyed two different hand crafted cocktails. Centurion bar tenders know what they are doing. No complaints there. My favorite item here was the coffee flavored gelato with a variety of toppings for me to add. I definitely have a sweet tooth so I enjoyed this. I was a little disappointed with the AMEX lounge. The wait was over 2 hours, and when my party and I were finally let in, we only had about 30 minutes. Then, there was no where to sit. Not sure the process or how this even works, but I would expect to be able to lounge, relax, and enjoy the lounge more. Despite this, the detox salad was absolutely incredible. I entered the lounge around 7pm on a Tuesday and there was no wait. When you first enter and go right and go to the food station area the space looks small but in fact if you go back out to the check in area and go left of it, there is a whole huge section of seating and lounge area. Had a couple of hours to myself prior to my flight and stopped by to check out the lounge instead of sitting at the crowded gate. You have to walk towards the international terminal and then turn left where the Amex Lounge sign is when coming from the domestic terminal. Walk was not bad (like 12-14 minutes) for me and I used this as an opportunity to get my steps in. You take the elevator down to the lounge and upon entry, it does not seem large but they have several rooms. They have a bar with a few tables and then a bunch of other rooms for guests. I appreciate that they have a darkened room with loungers for guests to nap and have some quiet time before their travels. Staff were friendly and rooms were clean. Staff were constantly cleaning and wiping surfaces. I just found the layout a tad strange, as they have rooms scattered about and the rooms were mostly fully. Their pineapple agua fresca was good and not too sweet and their unsweetened iced tea was refreshing and good. They had the following items: Marinara penne pasta- just okay Chili verde chicken- okay Sautéed squash- enjoyed the texture and taste Cobb salad- fresh ingredients and good flavor Salad bar items- loved that you can make this your own Butternut squash soup- this was delicious! This Centurion lounge is located right after security via the TSA Pre lines in the international terminal. Most seats here are for 1-2 people, with only a few areas for groups which are larger (though you could move some chairs around), which likely works well with the clientele which carries the Platnium or Delta card to get in. Guests who don't have a card are $50/each. And like other Centurion lounges, this one uses the same waiting registration system to get in when it is at capacity. The lounge itself is nice, with a layout which neither is too maze-like nor too open (so sounds from one area don't carry too far). Showers available upon request, Wi-Fi code is at the front desk, and there is a blue-lit relaxation room. For food and beverages, I spotted a full bar, hot bar and some soup/salad along with dessert options. I got lucky and they rolled out the ice cream cart while I was in the lounge and the rocky road + chocolate are both pretty great treats after a long day. Expect your average lounge food, in terms of quality. There's a lack of power outlets especially with the seats located away from walls in the lounge. Most seating has a table and even the smallest tables were fine for perching a laptop on them to get some emails written. Staff were friendly and empty cups and plates were quickly hurried away despite the full lounge. I have heard mixed things about the Amex lounge at LAX so I went in with low expectations. However, I am unsure why folks have an issue with this lounge because it blew me away. I have been to several Amex lounges across the country and many other lounges accessible through Priority Pass. The customer service at the LAX Centurion Lounge is unmatched. As soon as I finished a plate, someone came by to see if they could take it. Everyone I interacted with was kind, friendly, and beyond helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure I had an enjoyable experience. Also, the food was phenomenal. The food was Caribbean themed the day I was there - a chicken entree, Caribbean chicken and corn soup, roasted root vegetables, black eyed peas, and rice. All of it was delicious. I only regret not spending more time to enjoy more of the food. There was also a nice spread of desserts, including bread pudding, brownies, and cookies. There were more snack options sprinkled throughout the lounge, but I didn't have a chance to check them out. I didn't see a Centurion bar menu, which I've seen at other Centurion lounges, but there was a wide selection of beer, wine, and spirits. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the lounge. This amex lounge is pretty good compared to the other ones ive been to. although it can get be a bit confusing to get here, it's not bad. The only downside is you have to get on waitlist to get inside this location. I dont know if it's because there are hella people here. The last time I was here, there weren't even people in line to get in. So I've learned my lesson and have always put myself on waitlist for ANY amex locations now anyways. I love this location because of the different amenities they have here. I was flying in from Vietnam and I had a 3.5 hour layover at LAX. They have shower options ANDD!!! a quiet room in the back. literal game changer after a long international flight. You request a shower at the front desk and they have someone unlock the door for you (they request that you try to stay within a 15-20 min shower). They have loccataine everything in there and provide you with a towel. they sanitize after every shower. a lot of other lounges that have a shower options ALWAYS has a fat wait time or is not available. I like that this one either has no to little wait time with all the times ive used it. the quiet room is in the back. I was feeling incredibly sick so it was nice that this room was dark and it had one person beds that you can lay on. I would say it was more like a long couch meant to fit one person if they laid down. there were about 7-8 beds in there and it was almost filled up around 8am. there were outlets near every bed so I was able to charge my phone Food and drink: there are two bars. one in the main big room which has high ceilings and lots of light. the other one is a bit smaller and leads to the other parts of the lounge with more seating. only got alcohol once and it was at the smaller bar. bartender is attentive. The morning offerings seemed very delectable (I didnt get a chance to try bc I was so sick and severely regret it). but they had scrambled eggs, French toast, avocado toast, breakfast sausage, sweet potato hash, croissants fruit and salad. they had a soup available but I dont remember what it was. they offered juice and cereal as well. The other times ive came it was closer to dinner time. The facilities were spotless and inviting, and the staff were exceptionally attentive. The breakfast buffet was truly memorable: * Real scrambled eggs, served piping hot * Perfectly baked new potatoes * Flavorful link sausage My wife especially enjoyed a well-made mimosa, served by the friendly and engaging bar staff. The bathrooms were equally impressive--spotless and odor-free. My only recommendations: * Please consider offering Modelo beer. It's the number one beer in the world for a reason. * The muffins on the buffet did not quite meet Amex standards. * I was unable to connect to the WiFi, likely due to too many guests logged in. Stopped into the Centurion Lounge because my wife and I didn't want to use one of our remaining Sky Club entries for 2025. Centurion is usually pretty strict about enforcing the 3 hour rule (only entry 3 hours before your flight time). But because it closes at 10pm, and our flight was at 11:45pm, we were able to get in without an issue at 8:15. They still require the physical AMEX card, boarding pass, along with picture ID. And it was quite crowded inside, with the lack of open space causing quite a bit of pedestrian gridlock in the common areas. It was our first chance to be there at last call. They had a gelato bar with fresh toppings, which closed at 9. Last call for the bar was 9:30, with the self-serve buffet for 9:45. One interesting of note is that they had two meat dishes, a decent yankee pot roast and a dijon chicken (along with the required vegetarian dish, which in this case was an OK eggplant parm). Both of the meat dishes were filling enough for us to use it as our late dinner, especially with a complementary glass of Street Cart cerveza from Golden Road Brewery. We left at 10, and found that gates in terminal 3 had thinned out quite nicely, allowing us plenty of space to wait comfortably. read more

This is without question the most horrifically atrocious lounge in the world. There is a Taco Bell at a rest stop off the New Jersey Turnpike with more vibe, atmosphere and elegance. I feel like I'm in a prison right now. The soul crushing corporate grey, the complete lack of natural light and windows. The INSANELY cramped space. The TONS of little kids running around with their oblivious neglectful parents on their phones. Packed wall to wall, the buffet is a total free-for-all. The only available chair is some purgatorial wooden elementary school seat in a corner that I'm sure I will be paying for on my 11 hour flight in a few minutes. The question is how on Earth could anyone responsible for designing this space allow even one of this kind of chair? Were they a sadist? Do they actually think someone paying premium fees for Amex Platinum and beyond would ever want to sit on such a thing? Whoever designed this space needs to be publicly shamed by name and rendered unemployable for life. This is not a misfire, this is a career-ruining disgrace. I feel like I'm sitting in some crew mess hall below decks on a merchant cargo ship. I haven't been this depressed since I watched the Melania documentary. To say this is a total fail would be the understatement of the century. Literally every free public space in the TBIT is stratospherically superior to this hole of doom, more elegant, more relaxing, and more intentionally designed. We didn't have a great experience at the American Express Centurion Lounge at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). Simply put, it was too crowded. Also, the air was stuffy and I didn't get a good vibe from a lot of the employees (they weren't very nice nor friendly and they didn't seem like they wanted to be there). That's the short version. Keep reading if you want details. The Centurion Lounge at LAX is located in Terminal B, a.k.a. the Tom Bradley International Terminal or TBIT. You don't have to be on an international flight to access Terminal B and the Centurion Lounge. For example, after security in Terminals 4-8, you can walk to Terminal B. After security in Terminals 2 and 3, you can take a bus to Terminal B. Terminal 1 is connected to Terminal 1.5, which has an airside connector. In Terminal B, the lounge is located right after security. Make two immediate lefts before entering the main shopping area of Terminal B (the "Great Hall"). Look for Amex-branded signs for the lounge. There's an elevator that will take you from Level 4 to Level 2, which is how you check in and enter the lounge. Don't get me wrong -- the lounge was quite nice in concept and design with multiple nicely-designed and aesthetically-pleasing areas and several amenities. However, there were just too many people to make it enjoyable. The atmosphere wasn't very relaxing nor did the lounge feel that special. My wife disagreed with me to a certain extent. She preferred being in this crowded lounge to sitting outside at the food court or at one of the gates in Terminal B. I saw two bars, two drink stations, one self-serve buffet, and several breakout rooms and seating areas with different themes: library-like, work/business settings, a dark, "star-lit" nap room, dining areas, and lounge-type spaces, one reserved for Centurion Card (black card) holders only (it was empty). Aside from the main bar, buffet, and dining area, the rest of the lounge had low ceilings and was maze-like. It gave me the impression that the Centurion Lounge was shoehorned into Terminal B at LAX. During our visit on an ordinary Saturday night from around 7:15 PM PST to 9:15 PM PST, most seats were taken. My wife and I had to do 1-2 full loops before finding a spot. Others did the same. We ended up sitting in a room where the walls were illuminated by images of green leaves and the ceiling had gold, perforated lighting. If you've seen Severance Season 2, it reminded me of the Family Visitation Suite that Dylan and Gretchen met in. It was warm and humid - not the best environment for a lounge. When we left, I noticed the staff stopped letting people into the lounge. A hostess was set up at the elevator (she wasn't there when we arrived) and there was a "bouncer" that guarded the elevator doors. A small line of people had built up and were waiting to enter from Level 4. We had dinner here and the food was good. Entrees included "Saturday Night Chicken" (kind of like a chicken cacciatore), roasted potatoes, and pesto pasta. There were garden and Caesar salads (one of my favorites), green beans, pickled vegetables (my wife particularly liked these), cured meats and cheeses (like other lounges), cookies, and desserts like tiramisu and almond flour cake. Yum. The food was replenished at a healthy rate despite how busy it was. Also, used plates and glasses were taken away in a reasonable amount of time and the lounge was generally kept clean while we were there. The lounge Wi-Fi speeds were decent. I did a couple internet speed tests and got about 60 Mbps download and 88 Mbps upload with Google. The restrooms weren't big enough and the number of showers was too small for the amount of people in the lounge, which had reached full capacity at one point. The air was uncomfortably even more humid around the restrooms and showers. I can see the potential in this lounge if there weren't so many people. Came on a Sunday morning at 7:30 am and although mysteriously located one level down from the TBIT departures main floor, it was 90% busy. My guest and I didn't have to wait to get in, but we did have to walk around to find a place to sit. Bathroom only had two urinals and two stalls considering how many customers the lounge holds. People had to wait. Breakfast food selection was simple and ok. Mass scrambled eggs, lukewarm chicken apple sausage, and huevos rancheros (sunny side egg on a warm tortilla). All were unremarkable. They have a Vivreau water machine here that offers both still and sparkling filtered water, so that's a nice touch. Bar was open, but I didn't partake. Overall the space felt cramped with multiple walled off rooms instead of a welcoming open space. I went to the Star Alliance Lounge afterwards and found that to be much better. That lounge was only 10% full, had lots of open space, natural light, and a significantly better buffet line in terms of both taste and selection. read more

I usually don't fly out of LA but have very recently and last time I did not check in on Yelp so this is a bit over due. The Capacity is 530 MAX. Loved that because it doesn't look that large but there is plenty of seating. We had waters upon arrival - there's hot and cold water faucet which I had to get assistance with how to operates it's a pull towards you situation not a twist left or right. $30 entry fee for my kiddo and $50 for my spouse....didn't hit the 75K guest fee exemption this last year (tariffs lol J/k) We had a full 3 hour and 49 minute layover so we had time to relax and enjoy the lounge. Pretty sure they let us in because we looked hungry. Anyways my Kid kept saying he just wanted a burger well they didn't have that. We had tacos for breakfast and eggs and sausage and fruit and yogurt and came back for some Lucy items as well. My favorite is the abundance of chargers and the quiet room for sleeping. Folks get out in the list for showers and that's cool and there were private rooms for meetings plenty of fruit and pastries. If you get a drink they card each drink seems on par for an airport lounge. 5/5 will recommend. Safe travels. read more

I prefer the open balcony seating at the Star Alliance lounge at LAX but this is a very solid option if you're flying international economy and can't use an airline's business / first class lounge in the international terminal, or if you want to sleep as they have a very quiet relaxation room with day beds that is almost dark but with beautifully subdued lighting. The worst thing is to allot 15 min for stopping by a lounge and then having to wait and not being able to make it in. There are lounges with better food, but it's a solid and decently healthy meal which I appreciate. This lounge may appear small at first glance but it actually extends quite a bit both ways from the main food area. It is narrow so overall just feels crowded. There's about a 20-25 minute wait so put yourself on the waitlist while you're waiting to go through security. Chances are by the time you're there it'll soon be your turn to enter. I came on a Sunday afternoon, put myself on the waitlist while going through security and was admitted right away when I got to the lounge. I was pleasantly surprised that the lounge was so close to the security checkpoint that I went through, but it ended up being a good 10-15 minute walk to my actual boarding gate. My favorite feature of this lounge is the quiet area with day beds and a little twinkle lights on the ceiling to mimic a starry night. I prefer the openess of the American, Delta & United lounges at LAX; The bar area is built against pillars that lean inward. The space is very tight to walk; Rude guests putting their feet on the furniture. You would think peeps w/ premium Amex cards that have access to this lounge, would have more etiquette.
