But, because the Sportage has it's attachment holes set farther back, the receiver was too far back to accept the bike rack. James (the installer) quickly saw the issue, and said that they would order a different hitch and they would switch out the original hitch at no additional charge. When the new hitch arrived it became clear that it's geometry was very similar to the original hitch, so James spent a bunch more time researching various options that might work. He found one that looks promising and had it delivered to the shop within a couple days. This one looked much better, and James swapped out the old one with the new one, and it solved the problem... the bike rack attaches perfectly! James was AWESOME to work with. He was always trying to solve the problem and find a solution. He never gave up, and in the end he created a very satisfied customer! If you need a hitch, see James at U-Haul in Pleasanton!

If we wanted to pick up earlier, they offer an online pickup. We estimated 40 miles. They initially charged us for 40 miles, and when we returned the van, they adjusted the amount for the actual miles used: 28 miles. We didn't have to ask them to adjust it. It's automatically done that way. :) Everything is done online - even checking the vehicle for damages. They texted me a link and I approved or disputed all angles of the van. Good service. Nice folks. No hassle.

The truck was in excellent condition and handled perfectly over the 700+ miles I had her, to the point where I was sad to let her go! The truck even had a backup camera, which is rare for a rental truck and definitely made maneuvering in tight quarters easier. The daily fees are rather high, but that's counterbalanced by a lower per-mile charge, and frankly, the quality of the equipment is good enough that it's worth paying extra for the peace of mind. I will absolutely use Enterprise Rent-a-Truck again!

After doing research with other rental truck outfits, Penske stood out as the winner. The mgr was…read moreable to give us great rates, trucks were new and in great shape. Fully discussed what would happen if it were to break down, etc. Pick up went smoothly, nice 12 ft truck, clean. The cab interior smelled like bug spray, advised it was a disinfectant they use in between rentals. Good that they clean but had to air the front out. 2 bucket seats so we had to set up a little bed in between the seats for our dog. Relatively comfortable for all. Lots of cubby holes for everything from sun glasses to munchies. Air conditioner worked well, large gas tank so didn't have to make a lot of fill-up stops. The truck rode nice & smooth. A 12 ft truck holds a lot!! They were able to rent us blankets for about $1 apiece, even had misc locks, etc. We took it 1 way to Washington, drop off was just as easy. We'll use them for all our moving. They made it reasonable & easy. We'll use their moving man service on each end for the final move tho, let them do the heavy lifting!
