C&B never intended to do the restoration, and they left me with half my floor ripped up. These folks are dishonest and manipulative. Do not hire them if they say they'll do the entire job. They only want to do mitigation - they won't do the restoration. They also left my walls in rough shape according to other contractors, appear to have cracked an HVAC drain pipe, and generally made a huge mess that I've had to live with. They've repeatedly trash talked my insurance company, terrifying me by implying that my house is going to sit in disrepair and be unlivable like another house nearby. They neglected to mention that the house they are referring to has structural damage and isn't at all like my house. They're just fear mongering and trying to whip me into a panic. It's awful to do that to a single parent who is just trying to get back to normal. Use another company if you want a job well done by people you can trust.

On the outside the building was nice and I had high expectations. Inside however was a different story. Just like the other location the shelving was really dirty and gritty. Organization could have been better, but it wasn't horrible. It also wasn't as cluttered as the other store but there was room for improvement. Quality was so-so in the housewares dept, clothing seemed pretty decent although the racks were overstuffed. I was impressed with the upholstery fabric still on bolts selling for $5 a roll outside. I also saw a few vintage oversize mirrors that I would have loved to have had they not been sold already and have a $50 price tag. I walked out empty handed which I rarely do when I thrift, however the mirrors gave me hope that they do get special pieces from time to time so I could stop again if in the area.

I have security cameras monitoring both my front and backyard areas, which captured the agent's application. He didn't apply the treatment to at least one exterior side and exterior rear of my white fencing of the backyard, which I brought to his attention before he left my property. I attempted to display the security video to him, but he refused to wait and left my premises. Because my security cameras cannot view the opposite fence line (left side) of my home, I took an educated guess that area was ALSO missed during the application. Before the agent left my property, I asked him twice for his name, because I intended to contact Passwaters Landscaping and complain about the issue. First, the agent argued that he did apply the treatment to my entire exterior fence line, although my security video CLEARLY showed otherwise. And secondly, he refused to identify himself to me after I had asked him twice for his name. I spoke to a Passwaters Landscaping manager about the issue to whom the agent's manager, but, she sided with her agent's statement. She asked that I email the security video to her, but I declined and invited her to meet with me to review it together, since we could discuss it and address any questions together - again she declined. Next, I mailed a certified letter on August 4, 2025, to the owner of Passwaters Landing, Mr. John Passwaters, asking him to review my complaint and to schedule another application for me for just those areas that were not treated. Although I asked him to reply with his decision before the end of August, as of today (Sep 1, 2025), I've not received any response from him. I lodged a formal complaint with the Delaware BBB about this and am waiting for a response. My recommendation is to not contract with Passwaters Landscaping for any of their services, especially lawn care. They don't appear trustworthy... If this site would allow me to give Passwaters' a zero star, I would have done so.

My second-floor hot water heater decided to malfunction when I was on a cruise. I live in a…read moretownhouse/villa condo community. My next-door neighbor, (fortunately), spotted water running from my front door. To make a long story short, my condo manager recommended United Restoration; they used them before and were well pleased. From what I understand, United Restoration came out almost immediately and started the mitigation process. I arrived to see my home 2 days later. I cried when I saw it but according to my neighbors it looked good compared to what it was. United Restoration packed up my stuff efficiently and I easily found what I needed. They dried out the house very quickly - still in the drying process - and because they got there so quickly it appears there will be no mold problems. They are still in the drying/packing process. I met with Joe Pino, the Manager and estimator, the next business day. He explained clearly the damages and what will be needed; he is dealing with the Insurance company as well. They are a full-service company, so I won't be worrying about contractors, etc. They also are dealing with the insurance company. I cannot tell you how pleased and greatful for the work they are doing.
