first I dropped my cowboy boots off Sept. 2025. now we are in March 2026. first it's the parts aren't in yet. then it's they will be done this week. last time I actually got someone to answer the phone was October 2025 and was told that person didn't know where my boots were. I live 580 miles away and only have a summer home up that way. so I was told the gentlemen that worked on my boots would call. no call ever came so in December on 2025 I sent a friend in to get my boots. for sure they had to be done. he was told they would call me when they are done. again this is now mid March no call yet. and they do check most of their reviews on there page as my husband left a bad review and now it's gone. I can not reccomend them at all. read more

Ladies, if you have expensive designer heels, do not take them here for repair. They just aren't skilled enough for this type of shoe. Had soles and heels replaced. Soles were extremely thick and jagged. They didn't apply the thin low profile ones I requested. The heels were all crooked. I paid $100 but will be shipping them to a cobbler that's equipped to work on shoes like this. Will not be back! read more

United Shoe is a downtown staple. Not sure how long it's been in business but I had a great experience using them to correct an imperfection on a pair of golf shoes. They diagnosed the problem and had it repaired in under a week. Great service. read more

I was very disappointed. Putting red rubber bottoms on three pairs of Christian Louboutin's cost $150! These are $800+ shoes. I haven't even worn one pair and they got glue on the denim! The cutting is sloppy and goes past where the rubber bottoms were put on and the glue is on the visible red painted part, where it's not supposed to be! I'm one of the shoes, they even cut part of the tip off! The apprentice waited on me as the owner was on the phone. He asked if I wanted to talk to "the big guy" but since he couldn't get off the phone to wait on me in the first place, I wasn't gonna wait for him. There is not much they can do to repair these shoes at this point. Will not come back here! Would not recommend! read more

Military style boots shined for only four dollars, you can't beat that deal! Great service!

Over the years United Shoe has repaired odd things for me- snowshoe bindings, backpacks, suspenders- but never shoes until two months ago. I took a pair of year old Sebago loafers with holes in the soles- shoes I spent countless comfortable hours walking and standing in- to be resoled. When they came back they were ungodly uncomfortable, but I figured they would improve with wear. I was wrong. The craftsmanship is excellent, but the replacement materials are a poor patch on the originals. I'm going to buy a new pair and chalk this up to experience. Frankly, I don't trust United Shoe to re-repair them. The next time my soles wear out, I'll ship the shoes back to the retailer or manufacturer. I might have a long wait while they go back and return from China, but it beats buying new shoes every year. Two stars because united Shoe has taken on and excelled in non-shoe work in the past. You can do better, but not in Concord because we have no choice. read more

I have been a regular customer for years and would trust no one else. The art of repairing shoes and other leather goods is a dying thing and its nice that they are still perfecting it. These guys have taken care of my expensive Luchesse boots, re heeled/souled countless high heels, sewn up my beloved sneakers and have even done odd end projects such as color matching leather belts to my boots and even perfectly replacing the leather straps on my grandma's purse she left to me, which meant a lot. Very knowledgeable and know how to do it right! read more

So far I've only had minor work done here, I'll try to update my review if I do more, but so far this place seems great. I needed the heels replaced on my favorite pair of black boots (hate how fast those wear through) and although there was an initial miscommunication about when I needed my boots that resulted in them not being done when I went to pick them up, they did them right there while I was waiting, only took like 5 minutes! I love that cobblers still exist. read more

I brought in 2 pair of beloved but unwearable Birkenstock sandals. They have great patterns that aren't made any longer. The footbeds were rotten and there was a tear in the strap and they were scuffed and dirty. In 2 weeks time I had back what appeared to be brand new out of the box Birks! New footbeds (a size bigger even), repaired strap and all shiny and clean. I am so happy with the magical transformation. There isn't a craftsman like David. He performs shoe miracles and I am so grateful to him. Thank you! read more

I recently needed a small leather repair and spoke to DJ on Wednesday. He said it would be ready on the following Saturday and wrote it on my pickup ticket. Fantastic! I called on Saturday to check if it was ready, and he said it wasn't ready and not to call. He would call me when it was ready. So I waited another 7 days and phoned again on the following Tuesday. No one would pick up the phone so I left a message. No return call so I tried an additional 5 times. Finally I went down to the shop to find a completely messy workbench with dozens of repairs pending and asked Mr. A. (a wonderful kind man who does the shoe repairs) if I could pick up my repair and get a refund. He was most gracious and apologetic after searching through mounds of items, he finally found my repair. I am very disappointed in DJ. I had my riding boots repaired by Mr. A and he did a great job in the time that he stated. Very reliable. I will not be taking my leather repairs to DJ but will definitely take my shoe and boot repairs to Mr. A. He is a excellent craftsman and a man of his word. read more
