The service staff is very condescending. He will get smart with everyone. The place is clean but the male staff is horrible.

Surprisingly not purgatorial…read more NOTE: This review is only for the passport portion of the post office. This UPSP office is the largest in Westerville and is their primary location for many of the specialty services such as passports, and updating of mailbox keys. I had to get an updated passport due to a new job and made an appointment online, which was not the easiest as many of the menu options didn't apply to me. I contacted the local number and the gentleman who answered walked me through the various steps of the appointment process on their website with ease. When my appointment finally arrived, I was expecting a long line, horrible service, and something akin to the BMW. Much to my surprise, I walked in and the worker at the passport location took my name, advised me I was early and if I could please wait while he finished up with the two customers he was currently assisting. While not particularly talkative (fine by me as an introvert), he was very efficient, thorough, and gave very detailed information during the entire time. Walk in to walk out with my receipts and passport application on its merry way was less than 30 minutes. Yes, less than thirty, including the time I waited while he finished up with the previous customers. Granted, I had my photos already, and a cashier's check ready, but this is unheard of. My only previous interaction with this post office was upon moving to the Polaris area, my mailbox had to be re-keyed. I walked in, filled out a piece of paper, and was done in less than 5 minutes. The new keys were delivered to my management office a few days later. Took me longer to drive to the location than how long I was in there. Pretty refreshing, for a government office.

I spent over 40 minutes there with them making copies of the death certificate, trustee paperwork, drivers license, etc. Three weeks later, and I still do not have any forwarded mail. I tried calling them and of course no one ever answers the phone. I physically went into the post office and the girl at the counter said they don't have any record of me changing the address. I asked for the supervisor and I spoke with Will and he said nothing was showing. My father's previous address at an assisted living facility did not have any mail for him. I asked Will, where his mail his previous address did not have it. He said he did not know and would have t get with the carrier. Really???? Incompetence at his finest. This is our government at best!

The male took my application and right away noticed that I have written my driver license number in the section under the line which is for the signatures. I didn't sign anything just my driver license number which I am suppose to have there anyway. He could've verified and move on but he preferred to be entertained on my expense and kept "what do they say here, can you read..." bs like this. I am a person with impaired vision, blind without my glasses. Took me long time to fill this application the day before and one thing I do not understand, whose idea was to have the drivers license info in the same section where the signatures are. It makes zero sense to me. You enter all this other personal info including SSN in "normal sections", but somehow the driver license it in the section designated for the signatures. I told I don't see what he problem is you can compare and see the numbers are the same, then I will sign right in front of you. This was not satisfying to him. My wife tried to interfere and suggested filling another application but she was told to stay away "We got it". He preferred to continue the humiliation of the disabled person. No willingness to resolve the situation. Ernest, I hope some day you and your family are treated the same way you treated me and my family today.

I realize that Post Offices are neither the most glamorous or tasty things to review, but if they…read moreearn their stars, they should get them. This Post Office is tucked off to the side on Orange Road near 23, and I actually missed it the first time I went, expecting a much larger and imposing building. There is ample parking space and a turn-around, which makes it easy to deposit mail into 3 different mailboxes and for folks to exit while others enter. Despite being small, this Post Office is always busy and traffic entering and exiting the narrow driveway can get a bit dicey at times. Despite the compact size and entryway, the customer service at this location earns it top marks. I was actually taken aback by level of friendliness and courtesy by all workers at this location. I've never had a bad experience and although always quite busy, the line moves quickly. Surly government workers at other locations should visit and get a little inspiration and some best practices.

This review is because of a recent visit I had to return 2 small items to AMAZON. There were two guys working at the time, one older and one younger. The taller older guy started to complain about Amazon returns has the younger guy was scanning some Amazon returns that a lady in front of me brought in. Way to make people feel uncomfortable! By the time she left, it was my turn. The younger guy helped me and the older guy continued to complain stating "We had 1 paying customer all day!" (they opened at 10am today since it's Sunday, I got there slightly before 11am) I'm guessing the paying customer was the lady next to me who was actually shipping something. I said "Well hopefully Amazon pays you guys" and he said "No, they don't" which I HIGHLY doubt they don't pay some sort of fee to UPS and the other stores that they have processing returns... If you've been open for an hour and you had ONE customer shipping something, then basically you wouldn't be doing much if there were no Amazon returns. Sorry for making you work at work. I'll give him 1 point since he did throw "no offense to you and your returns..." in with his complaints but still, the whole thing was awkward. On my way out, I stated that "I will take my returns elsewhere from here on out" (which kind of sucks because they are the closest place to me that takes Amazon returns). He was probably not happy because he said "We didn't do anything to hurt you"(I was basically out the door at that point) True, nothing was done to hurt me. Still, No thanks! ‍

Curious what's in store for the holidays... Staff was jumping and the line moved quickly which was impressive. Where it all tanked was the UPS associate who helped me. No welcome no greeting. I placed my package to ship on the counter and she irritatingly raised her voice and said,"What! What are you here for to return an Amazon package??" I'm at a UPS store and while I can understand and appreciate you can ship Amazon packages when returning from them, I was disappointed to hear her push out an alternative brand other than her own. Yikes. I gently explained I was shipping a package. She was super frazzled. Not friendly. Not really helpful. I gave her the address of my father-in-law and to her credit, the system was populating an alternative city name with the right zip. She was smart enough to get some support from another peer and then explained this was her second week on the job. We've all been there I get it, however, the intangible experience in any environment is key. Fortunately, he did get his package and loved his Medallion golf shirt. I am unhappy with this experience and have voluntarily shared with other locals to hit up Polaris or New Albany. The next day I had another package and visited one of these other stores. Complete opposite experience from start to finish. I hope with each passing day her experience servicing others improves and she builds confidence for herself. No fun being the new kid on the block including being that paying customer that feels her pain.
