I would go out of my way to come to this post office- so friendly and courteous- their staff is wonderful with kids and customers!!

So it's not often that I go to the post office anymore, but on occasion you just need something to be mailed outside of the typical UPS, FedEx, etc. I had a pleasant experience. The line was longer than I expected midday, but the two individuals working kept it moving. Considering how underpaid and overworked postal workers and the staff are, they were extremely friendly, and helpful. As soon as I walked up, I didn't even have to ask what was the best way to mail what I was mailing, the lady at the desk pulled out the right envelope, and sent me on my way after my transaction was done. This post office is a pleasure to visit. It starts with Warren, the man in charge, who had been there for years. He greets everyone. I go regularly and have always had great interactions and felt the employees are friendly and go above and beyond to be helpful. I recently moved to this area and have had nothing but positive experiences in this post office. The staff is kind and knowledgeable and most importantly patient. Everyone one I have encountered goes above and beyond so I can't even speak about just one individual: I see new faces and still receive the same service. I hear how each of them interact with customers and I can't help but observe how positive the experience is. I usually complain about how disgruntled post office employees are but not at this location, kudos to them all. Pay them more treat them right! read more

I like this post office way better than the one on Airport Pkwy. Usually in and out with my pre-paid packages & they don't give me any problems. It's worth the extra minutes I have to drive for peace of mind. They also seem to get my packages there faster than Airport Pkwy. read more

I have a private box at Eagle Postal located at 5955 Alpha Road in Dallas, TX. This post office is the one that picks up at the facility. On February 26, 2018, I mailed two letters from Eagle Postal and I paid for tracking. I paid over $5.00 to mail each letter. WELL... Here it is two days later and both letters still show in a 'pre-shipment' status. So I called Eagle Postal to see what was going on. The Eagle Postal Agent told me that the Postal Carrier for this location is so lazy she never scans the letters so none of them ever shows tracking and that they have this issue with ALL the letters that go out where the person has paid extra to show transit. I was so upset with both Eagle Postal and this post office. Eagle Postal is aware that this woman, this mail carrier, never does her job by scanning these letters, yet they continue to let people pay for tracking knowing it's in vain. The Eagle Postal agent offered to file a claim on the letter. One letter is a notarized affidavit which has sensitive info like my social security number, etc. and the other letter was sent to a customer who had PAID for tracking only to have no tracking provided. Per Eagle Postal they have to file claims for the majority of these packages all because.. yet again... the postal carrier is TOO DAMN LAZY TO SCAN THESE LETTERS IN. read more

Where do I begin with this sorry excuse for a post office. I called this office several times after filing a complaint due to not receiving my mail for over a month. I have called the original vendors for my important mail such as BoA for my debit card and Health & Human Services for my SNAP recipient card and both vendors have resent my mail multiple times just for me to continue NOT receiving it! I am having to basically STARVE myself at this point because all I can afford is one McDonald's dollar burger a day and they won't offer me any type of help! When I call they chastise me and treat me like I'm a burden! It's important that I receive my mail, I NEED TO EAT I NEED GROCERIES, and they just don't care! Without going into too much unneeded detail... basically, my abusive mother was living with me and I ended up having to file a protective order against her because I am the victim of her being arrested for assault. When my mother moved, I suppose she filed a change of address and included my mail in that change. I cannot have any contact with her, these are police orders, yet at the post office Jordan and the other female manager consistently tell me the only way I can start receiving my own mail again is to contact my abuser and have them cancel the change. Even though I explained the situation. I explained to them that I cannot just file another change of address because I do not know the address my mail was forwarded to and they will not give it to me! They won't provide me with the 13 digit code to cancel the request either and have basically told me I am SHIT OUT OF LUCK AND CANNOT RECEIVE MY OWN MAIL. This is the most bs, lazy, excuse for customer service I have ever experienced. They absolutely need to be fired or reprimanded. I cannot fathom that they told me their is nothing I can do to start receiving my own mail. They also told me I need to contact the police department if I want to file a complaint which is completely FALSE. When I called the DPD (thank god I did) they gave me the correct information and phone number for filing a complaint with the USPS inspector general. I am typically a very gentle, soft spoken, and understanding person. But being spoken to with such disrespect, like I'm a child, by Jordan and his female counterpart, almost made me say words God wouldn't have been proud of. Lastly, to put the icing on the cake, after this whole ordeal of calling for a few days and being offered ZERO helpful information, being treated with disdain, and being talked to with a snippy attitude, I had had it. I told Jordan, "I wish I could find out your address so I could forward your mail to my home and you'd be able to do absolutely nothing about it." After that the postal worker continued to call my personal cell # from HIS personal phone and threaten me! The lack of professionalism is just disgusting at this point. read more

HORRIBLE. The carriers at this facility are garbage human beings. I live 5 minutes from this location. They refuse to deliver packages to me and blatantly lie saying they attempted delivery or that the location was insecure. Both are false. I work 2 jobs and never have time to go to pick up my packages, yet shouldn't have to because I pay postage to have them delivered. This has been going on for 2 years. Multiple complaints filed. No resolution. The inside of this office is trashed. Disgusting. I would rather go to the DMV than go here. That says a lot. read more

I stopped by this post office during lunch, and it was like I was in the twilight zone. The line was amazingly short, the staff was helpful, and I bought stamps and sent certified mail in under 3 minutes. It was truly amazing. This is the exact opposite of the post office on Lover's Lane and Greenville, and most others in Dallas! read more

The sole star earned at this post office belongs to the super friendly attentive staff behind the front desk-Spring Valley putting their best face forward? Definitely-nicest people in a high stress work environment-love them dearly BUT... The staff behind the wall need much better management. I have filed multiple complaints about my packages being lost within this post office, the delivery staff LIES about the status of packages-they consistently report items being non-deliverable when there is no problem with the address nor packaging/label. See Chuck M.'s problem below-I have the same with my online sales. They REFUSE TO SCAN YOUR PACKAGE INTO THE USPS SYSTEM if you wait in line because "We are a high volume post office. Your item won't be scanned until it hits the shipping docks around midnight tonight." Hmmm. So you don't have to take responsibility for the package I'm giving you & I just trust you will deliver? My current stats are about 40% of outgoing mail delivered on delay or lost. That is terrible. Giving four stars because the employees answered the phone when I called (RARE for a post office) and were really friendly. The interior is clean and easy to navigate, I was able to drop off a package with no issue. They lose a star though because they don't staff for passport work even though they're listed on the USPS site as being able to do it. Called about an appointment (because you can't make one if you're there in person, but you can walk into the parking lot and call to do it) and was told it would be a MONTH before they could schedule me. I've only been in here once and my experience was pleasant. I had a 1:30 appointment for submitting my passport application and the process went smoothly. There is no clear notice on where the passport acceptance office is so when you walk in, don't bother going left to the post office service reps, instead, turn right and walk past the PO Boxes toward a sign that says "Business Reply". You will then see a door and a bell on the wall, ring the bell for service. Keep in mind you need an appointment for passport services. read more

Shitt service, excuse my language but I was just dropping off a package that had a label already, there was a big line. I asked the gentleman where I could drop them off and he simply said " I suggest you get a receipt, if you don't want one drop them off in the box, with a rude attitude of course " anyways I had a big box I was carrying & his response did not help at all, my box obviously did not fit in the drop box. Most places would just tell me to put it in the front. This man was rude, ended up going to another USPS office. One of the rudest women I have ever met works here. Her name is Bobbie. Everything is a confrontation with this person and she treats everyone like they are 2 years old or stupid. Witnessed her doing it to other customers. I approached the counter with a smile but quickly every step of the way was a confrontational attitude. The woman would not tell me how much it would cost to mail an item I had boxed and wanted to see cost if I told her the zip code, only if I got out of line went and got a pen somewhere and wrote it on the package would she give me a quote. I had another package already with a label but it got so bad I decided I wasn't subjecting myself to this and used a self service computer in the other room with a drop box. It was such a negative encounter I had to remind myself she has some problem, not to let other people ruin my day or change how I feel. I'll never come back to this post office again. I hope they change something here. Service and the way they treat customers is atrocious. read more

How do you give lots of stars to a post office? I like it though. There is ALWAYS a long line but it doesn't take to long to move through it. It could move faster but the employees are NOT in a hurry!!! They move around like they came to work specifically to chill. Aside from that though, I like the people who work there. They are actually very friendly in their own you know I'm still at work kind of way. They know their stuff too so they are very helpful in suggesting shipping options to people like me who bumble over to the counter with like 7 envelopes and 8 boxes to ask stuff like, "What's the best way to ship this CD?" You can't talk on your cell phone when you're in there though. At least that's what the sign says. I always get annoyed when I read their rules because they make you wait in line forever and life could be better if you spent that time having a loud and hilarious conversation on the phone about what he said she said! read more

If you're coming to pick up a package- don't go to the door off on the side that's labeled for package pick up and don't think anyone will answer when you ring the bell. No one will arrive. The proper process is to walk in and step into a line that you're supposed to magically know exists for package pick up. Depending on how long the delivery and pick up lines are, those lines may merge so you're left to guess exactly where to stand. If you stand in the delivery line thinking that all the employees at the front desk are handling everything- you'd be wrong. You'll find out once you get up there and they point you to the other line. All of this can be avoided by simply having signs or arrows that tell you what line you should be in (may be worth having a sign on the door that's LABELED for package pick up telling folks "we don't use this anymore, the line is around the corner"). I suggested this to the employee that pointed me to the line and all I got was a shrug. I miss my old post office that actually made sense. read more

I frequent this office because it's closest to my home. There is one particular worker who always very dismissive. Never seem to catch her name, but she a lighter skinned black woman. I asked her a question pertaining to an effective way to send mail out. She never answered my question and attempted to rush me through the line. When I asked for clarification she responded, "You can do whatever you want ma'am". She could definitely benefit from customer service and sensitivity training. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at a post office. Rene a counter "lady" would not help me when asking how to send a certified letter. She told me it was my job to know how to send mail. When I told her it was her job to help us the customer. She told me to get back in line because she was at lunch and walked off. I complained several ways and was ignored. It's easy to complain about Post Offices but I must say I've had pretty good experiences at this branch. I had a big package to mail out so I had to wait in line which is usually death, but they had three stations open and a fourth guy in line helping guide people so it went very quickly. This post office is horrible. I waited in line for help to just pick up a package. The lady told me I had to wait at the end of the counter for her to call someone else to help me. I waited 10 minutes until approaching the lady again to ask for assistance. She acted put off by me asking & if she could check on the package. She called someone & I have still yet to even been seen or offered any help when I am going on 20 minutes now. This is absolutely ridiculous. The lady has refused to help me. I received help only after asking for about the fourth time 2 minutes prior to them closing. The lady even brushed me off saying she had to grab some packages that had been sitting on the counter unattended the entire time. I have lived next door to this post office for over four years now. Although I would not qualify my experiences as bad previously, they have definitely not been good. As of recent, my carrier LOST my prescription package. I called every day for over a week after it was supposedly delivered to a parcel box (why the carrier chose to deliver it to a parcel box instead of taking it the few steps to the complex office as had been done many times before, I do not know) and left a key in my mailbox. This did not happen! I have yet to hear directly from my carrier. I was able to get in touch with other individuals, but all they could do is leave messages for the carrier and give second hand information regarding what happened. Today, after 10 days of this back and fourth, Anthony Adkins (the supposed station manager) informed me that although he could not give me our carrier's name (Accountability???), that the carrier had informed my apartment complex that the parcel boxes had been tampered with. What? The apartment complex was not the one calling every day for over a week, but the carrier could not have been bothered to pick up the phone and call me. I do not believe for one minute that this is the truth. I believe either one of two things happened: either he mis-delivered my package or he stole it. Either way, I am furious at how poorly this has been handled! And yet they wonder why the USPS is becoming extinct, worst customer service ever! read more
