I was donating my hair and needed to mail it out. I stopped at this post office on a Saturday as they are open later than others. The line was pretty long when I got inside, but I noticed they had many workers so it seemed like it was moving quickly. I noticed they sell cards, I never thought to buy a card at the post office. I waited about 15 minutes before I got to the front. The lady that helped me out was nice, and my transaction was really quick. I sent a package ground and it cost $7.55, she told me that was the cheapest. She pointed out on the receipt where I could track if the package was received, and a survey to fill out. read more

I called the Edgewood post office and a lady answers. I tell her that the postman who is not our regular drove by slowly and looked to see if I had a flag up, which I did and he kept on going. Waited a couple hours to see if he would come back, did not. I called the post office and I explain to the grumpy lady what happened and she informed me that they do not have to stop if they do not want to. I said yes mam they do as we are a business and our mail has to be sent to companies by certain dates. I called the 1800 number and they are now in the process of helping but that lady should be fired with an attitude like that as the 1800 customer service could not believe she said that. read more

I found out today that if you are just sending a text book or any media that you can send your package at a lower rate for example on my book that initially cost $7.35 but since I did the media package it was only $4.31. I never knew you could send books for less. read more

Honestly I like the staff. They are pretty nice to me. I however cannot stand how badly my Birds are being shipped via Priority Mail Express. Really it's an issue with Fed Ex who they have a contract with. My birds are always seriously delayed and the tracking sucks. Recently my birds were crushed inside their shipping carriers. That's right..crushed. Miraculously they survived but one carrier is smashed and the other looks like it went through a meat grinder. Both carriers were shipped on the same day at the same time. Oh they amazingly arrived on time but the damage of the carriers was so significant a post office employee had to put one carrier in another box because the bird was falling out of the bottom. read more

The man behind the counter said he was the only one there and he was doing passports with typically take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and that I would have to wait I don't know about you, but I don't have an hour to waste in my day, I was not rude. What a worthless post office. You wait in line for passport walk in. You get told it's not at the time listed and you go wait in another line waiting for that time. Then the worthless lady from behind the counter gets mad and says we're short handed and they'll all just have to be last. I get it but nobody said anything to the 5 other people waiting before me and the guy she was talking to didn't even know she was just pissed off they have walk ins. This place and the people here have always been a rude. Hints the really crappy reviews. Don't go here. Inaccurate wait times, promises, and bad services. Honestly this branch is a joke and should be closed down. Answered my call only so other calls wouldn't come in and could hear them the whole time not addressing me. Cancel appointment for passports 3 times wasting our time. I don't mind waiting 3 months to get the passport photo but the communication is terrible and they have no idea what they are doing in this place. Please please go to another location and report this branch. read more

For many months, this post office has been plagued with mismanagement and questionable staffing choices. Wait times have become excessive and much of the service by the newest employees is less than enthusiastic. The number of human hours that are lost daily is truly staggering: Waiting in line to be served while 3/4 of the service windows go unmanned or devoted to passport processing, customers are now being met with disgruntled service from overburdened clerks... most of whom have common traits (including the appearance that they would rather be fishing). We desperately need a new branch manager, and preferable one with more qualifications than mere seniority. read more

This is the most inefficient post office in Indianapolis. They are obviously understaffed. There is rarely a time I can get in and out under 20 minutes. Just want to mail a package you already labeled in the drop box? It's always full. Always. Lines are long, workers are never in hurry. Go elsewhere. Always busy. Never anyone to check you out quick. If so there is one person up at counter. Packages never gets scanned after drop offs til night time or if does says it was dropped of hour. Dropped of in morning before noon and says dropped off hour ago. Late on package arrivals. Mail never comes til its late in afternoon. Half time have to track down post man so I can get packages. 9/11/19 tracking says have delivery today. Asked postman don't you have one for me he said must have been after I left. If they are going to say it's out for delivery. Don't count on it!! Someone isn't doing there jobs!!! This isn't the first time this has happened!! Called the phone number online and you cannot even talk to a person even give tracking number and still no result. The woman answering the phone has an absolutely disgusting attitude. They apparently do not like it when you find out what the direct phone number to their location is. I will say that there are some pretty great clerks at the window in the post office. However when it comes to the management they are the most rude and lazy people I've ever seen. Sometimes unions can be a great thing but a lot of times when it comes to the post office it guarantees job security for Bad actors. A membership that seems to just give license to extremely bad behavior and unprofessionalism. They can go ahead and keep this up. Eventually either the government is going to take over or Amazon will be delivering the regular mail to. Absolutely ridiculous. I would rather spend a week's vacation at the BMV then have to ask one of these people to do their job. I mean just asking them to do the job they get paid for is like pulling teeth. Don't dare give them a package after you've asked them to do their job. I can't tell you how many times I have handed somebody a package with fragile stickers all over it just to see them throw it 5 feet through an opening in the wall into a box on top of other packages with fragile stickers all over it. Why complain though. Even if it's a fireable offense they will be clocking into work the next day. At this point I'm looking forward to the end of the Postal Service.
