The line was pretty long when I got inside, but I noticed they had many workers so it seemed like it was moving quickly. I noticed they sell cards, I never thought to buy a card at the post office. I waited about 15 minutes before I got to the front. The lady that helped me out was nice, and my transaction was really quick. I sent a package ground and it cost $7.55, she told me that was the cheapest. She pointed out on the receipt where I could track if the package was received, and a survey to fill out.

Waited a couple hours to see if he would come back, did not. I called the post office and I explain to the grumpy lady what happened and she informed me that they do not have to stop if they do not want to. I said yes mam they do as we are a business and our mail has to be sent to companies by certain dates. I called the 1800 number and they are now in the process of helping but that lady should be fired with an attitude like that as the 1800 customer service could not believe she said that.

Typically this branch has one person working the front. Sometimes there will be two. I personally don't think that's as big of a hassle as others, at least not the majority of the time. Sure, if you're expecting to be in and out in five minutes then sometimes you'll be disappointed. Sometimes. But waiting is apart of life, so give yourself more like ten or fifteen minutes if you're going at a high traffic time (lunch break, right after work, etc.) or any time you're going to need to be somewhere after in a hurry and you'll be okay. ;) I was just in yesterday, five days before Christmas, and the two women working were moving people along as quickly as they could (which was actually really efficient and quick) AND they were doing so very cheerfully. They talked to everyone - the person they were serving, the people in line chimed in if they had something to say, too. It was really a wonderful experience and not something I was expecting so close to Christmas when they're busy and people tend to be less patient. I had five packages that had to be weighed, address checked, and postage applied to... the woman working handled it all with me in just a handful of minutes. Swift and speedy! It's not always like that - sometimes the employees are a little less energetic, but who doesn't have those days at work? To me, this post office gets the job done just fine - and even better than fine on plenty of my visits. I purposefully choose to use this branch the majority of the time, so do with that what you will.

I have worried about the security of that system (is my package going to get stolen?), but 20 or so packages later I have never had an issue. I have been to the counter once and the employee was very nice. I have been at many different times of day and there always seems to be a few people in line. There is a lobby area with PO boxes and then there is the service area, and they have different hours. It's not the nicest place or the nicest part of town, but the parking is very easy. I was grateful that this US Post Office was near the Indiana Convention Center where the Health & Fitness Expo was held, because it allowed me to ship out my postcards and other mail I had brought with me while in Indianapolis. When I walked in there was only one customer inside, but not in line though. I waited briefly before being acknowledged by the clerk who at the time was speaking to her co-worker. My visit ended up being in-and-out because there were not any other customers. As someone who visits post office locations regularly whether it be for Poshmark or eBay shipments, the clerk was respectful during our brief encounter. I was on my way in minutes after she presented me with stamps for my postcards and took them after. I am terrible at doing the surveys on the receipts pertaining to my visits, but rest assured, I always share a review based on my experiences. The young woman who assisted me was fast and efficient (Clerk #77 - I didn't catch her name, but that is what was on the bottom of my receipt). I'd watched her with two people ahead of me and she seemed to be very knowledgeable as well. She scanned in my packages, being sure to weigh them for accuracy. She then asked if I needed any stamps or anything to take home. I declined. She printed my receipt and highlighted the tracking info in two places.
