This location has to be one of the worst United States Postal Service offices I've ever had to use. Their lobby hours when I first bought my PO Box were until 6 PM. Which is great because I have a 9 to 5 job and would routinely come over and check my PO Box usually arriving right before 6 PM. They have since changed that and even though there are still people on site, they now lock the front door and don't let anybody in before I even have a chance to arrive. At one point, I was trying to pick up a package on Saturday and I arrived at 2:50 PM and they had already closed off the desk. And I could overhear the employees saying tough luck. I want to go home early. I had to wait and confront them (peacefully) about this when they went to lock the front door. And then they tried to convince me that I had not arrived until after 3 pm. Which was blatantly untrue. Absolutely unprofessional. I tried to put in a complaint to hopefully have the regional official for the post office to see what was going on. Only to be contacted by someone at the same post office saying they were closing my issue because I had received my package at that point. But no correction or desire to correct anything that was wrong with that an interaction. At the end of the day, they are handling something that is very important still which is the safe delivery and timely delivery of important things . And at this location, it feels like there is a complete lack of respect for that duty. I honestly hope in the near future someone comes in and addresses these issues. But as of today, I am done and I am not utilizing their post office box services anymore. It's truly unfortunate that I still have to deal with them for delivery to my home address as this is still my local post office . read more

Nice post office, but it's kind of hard to find definitely not a good location. The employees that were inside assisting customers were nice enough for me, but a few customers who were there before me were complaining. I dropped off my package, and off I went, so overall, a good visit. read more

This particular location is the WORST. Always out of supplies, huge lines due to low staffing at the desk and they change their hours constantly so I waste a lot of trips coming here only realizing they are closed. when they do follow the hours posted they lock the doors 5 minutes early. I get it, you have to close at some point or you'll be checking people out all night but this location also doesn't provide 24hr access to the kiosk like the website says so yes closing the doors 5 minutes early is frustrating. read more

Good place to go if you have no other options. Super busy, not stocked well for the priority mail. There's literally a nearly empty priority mail section. No one to answer the door for pick up of packages. The only thing this USPS has going for it is the customer service guys at the counter. read more

Mailed two cards at the W. Russell Rd P.O. on 4/16/25 to be delivered in Utah. It's now 10 days later &;cards have not been received. Addresses were correct, postage was correct, even had return address on envelope. Very sad that children did not get their Easter cards due to this Post Office. I've never used this one in past & never will again, esp after my recent many calls to speak with someone & keep getting rep staff not available. read more

Told the lady I was unsure how to mail my small item. She didn't even look at the address. She tossed a form at me and told me to get a giant envelope so the lable would stick on the front. Okkkeee. Well let me first say I received my validation code of 9 letters and numbers. It's supposed to be 11. I want my informed delivery restored since I moved to a new address. Why is it so hard to get it right. US Postal Service Informed Delivery in Topeka KS. Please count to 11 with a sufficient amount of digits you sent me nine digits instead of 11. Tc is amazing the other guy he was with today needs to find a new job...I took off work early to come get a package my carrier never even tried to deliver! I get there @ 4:30 wait in line for 20 mins for him to go in the back for 60 secs and come back out and say he can't find it...probably didn't even look, not only do I not have my package I lost money by taking off work for no reason. The line to wait here is ridiculous, there's usually only two or one person available so that's why you're always stuck waiting for more than an hour to be helped . The people working have attitude, they're rude . The mailbox at my HOA house stopped working and I had to go to post office to every week to get my mail and wait for a new key for MONTHS! The staff is friendly enough but their distribution of packages is not good. They have "lost" two packages of ours even though they were scanned onto the truck. Our mail carrier delivers mail to the wrong mail boxes almost daily and we are still recovering mail for the previous people who lived in this house THREE years ago. This place is awful!!!! I've been sending packages the same way for years! This time I had to go to the clerk as I had cash the clerk tells me they can't send me package cause of the tape, I told the clerk you've been sending my package for years the same way? She gets her lead (black gentleman) tells me they don't send packages like that and when people put them in the box then take them out and send them back to the sender. I told him Sr I've sent packages and they have received it he said that's a lie.. he called me a liar!! I have ALL THE RECEIPTS I keep them!!! I've never had to experience bad customer service yet but I know that no one ever answers the phone. We are truck drivers and out of town a lot but once we come through we can not pick up our mail because they lock up the whole building. We have a P.O. Box there, that is overpriced and for only 6 months it will cost $120. Why don't they lock up the lobby area only so paying customers can walk in to get their mail. Doesn't make since. More than anything I want to review the USPS.com informed delivery option and digital signature. I get my mail from USPS store on Vegas Valley and I signed up to their informed delivery online a few weeks back - this is the best thing I could do. Every morning around 8am I receive an email showing me what letters (it is actually scanned and you can see the picture) I am receiving today and what packages I will get - this has been a blessing. With today being worried that I do not get the mail because of some people stealing it from the mail box it helped me a lot. I know what to expect everyday and knowing I have packages coming in I can plan my day that way. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars due to an issue I had a week ago - it showed that I was suppose to get 2 letters on a Saturday and nothing came in. I couldn't do anything on Sunday as they are closed. I did receive everything on Monday (Monday mail and the mail from Saturday) but I was worried that someone stole my mail. They mail person I presume didn't had the chance to get to our area on Saturday. I highly recommend to sign up for this, it gives you a relaxed feeling and if it doesn't show up you know what was suppose to come in (bills especially). I also signed up for the digital signature this way it informs me that I have a mail that needs a signature and instead of me going to the post office to pick it up I can sign for it in advance and they will deliver it. Save me time. All this are free services and highly suggest to sign up for them. read more

THis USPS branch has a regular practice of leaving a "Sorry we missed you..." tag WITHOUT even making any delivery attempts! SO THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND MAKE YOUR RECIPIENT PICK THE PACKAGE UP. Remember that when you're paying those fuel "surcharges" for mailing something. Spend the extra couple dollars and go with UPS/FEDEX/DHL - trust me, you can't file a missing package claim until weeks later. If I could give a negative star I would!!! TC was the most rudest person I've ever encountered at all the post office, which I have been in 4 different post office locations in the valley. We had a passport appointment,Checked in with a lady who told us to have a seat, 45 minutes later we go and speak with TC and he stated that he had already called out our names. He was rudely loud in that 45 minute time but he had only called out two gentleman's name which had been assisted. He first tried tell my daughter-in law that she had no apportionment but when I approached him, he then showed us her name crossed out??!!!He still refused to take us and sarcastically kept saying he already called our names which clearly he did not,because we were patiently waiting for 45 minutes before approaching him. He had the audacity to think that we don't have our lives to come back all the way to the other side of the ghetto east to have to deal with such poor customer service. And I want to note that TC was already being very rude to the other gentleman before we approached him for our appointment. So, on September 23, 2019 I received notification of what pieces of mail I should receive according to the Usps tracking. The funniest thing, my letter from Green Valley Spa didn't make it. So I thought how funny is this. I ALWAYS receive mail (Winterwood Post Office) listed but this one time, I guess my post man/woman decided they've worked hard enough that day and decided to treat themselves on me. I decided to give it 2 days and checked my box. No letter. The next day I went back to my email and hit the missed mail. I've been waiting and today is September 27, 2019; still no mail. Earlier today, while sending off "birthday gifts" at the Oakley location, I asked to speak to the Supervisor (Carla). I told Carla what happened and how strange how a letter from Green Valley Spa didn't make it to my box. She said, she was told even though mail is scanned and forecast doesn't mean it will make it to the box; we'll Carla, that rule must have started when the Usps employee saw he/s he could take my gift. I never knew the post office hired THIEVES to work for them. I don't care what they say, my card was stolen and I want the mail carrier or mail sorter to get fired. They need to go to jail. Stop making excuses for criminals unless everyone is. So ridiculous. I want my mail and I also want double for my trouble. It become really ridiculous when government employees steal from hard working citizens and when you complain, they never acknowledge or respond. USPS is a joke!!! Side note: Carla located my postal location and placed a call. Funny no one answered. How is it that one location is not able to reach another location under the same umbrella? I'm so confused. This post office will mark a package as an attempted delivery when they don't even run to your community at that time. Say they left a notice at the door or mailbox saying the box is too large for the mailbox (again they didn't even attempt a delivery as I was in my living room and walked the complex upon being notified of the attempted delivery as I have informed delivery). You can attempt to go online to select redelivery AND have Amazon call the USPS to make sure it's scheduled for redelivery only for someone either in the post office itself or within the USPS to change your package to pickup although you did not speak to anyone to make that request. When given a number from USPS corporate customer service to contact the post office they don't answer. So now I'm stuck with a package I can't get because I selected to have things delivered and someone took it upon themselves to not deliver it and mark it as being requested to be picked up. As a former USPS employee I never supported the "defund the post office" message but now I get it. And is outside of regularly missing mail. Terrible. read more

This is for the Winterwood Post Office in Las Vegas. Normally they're pretty good, but the last couple of weeks have been terrible. I have a number of package pick-ups. I follow the system - send an electronic pick-up request and I even put POST IT NOTES on the box to make sure the post person knows ... even that doesn't work anymore. I don't know if the people are blind, illiterate, or just don't give a crap about doing their job. We normally get our mail at 2:00 P.M. It's almost 6:00 P.M. now and the postal truck has driven by the house TWICE - speeding - but not stopping to delivery the mail or pick up my packages. I swear next time I'm going to throw myself in front of the truck to get her to stop! And forget about calling ... the phone rings forever and it either disconnects you or no one answers. read more

I'm only doing 1 star cause the people at the counter are great, never any problems with them. I just moved to this side of town, so this post office is all new to me. In my 3 times coming here, the African American tall man who works the counter that you pick up packages at, has been the most unpleasant person to encounter. He's never polite and looks like he hates his job (should probably find a new career path if you don't like dealing with people who just want their items). First time he kept telling me my package wasn't there, when tracking confirmed it was. I stood there for about 20 minutes telling him to check but he continued to tell me it wasn't there. FINALLY he brings my package back. Wasn't at all apologetic Then I go today cause I ordered something off Wish (a Chinese online store) and the tracking said it was delivered to that location. I walk up to the counter and hand him my ID and the tracking number. He tells me "that's not a tracking number". So I pull up the app and show him the tracking number and he continues to argue with me AGAIN. I'm with my 6 month old and just annoyed that I have to deal with this man. I live in Las Vegas in gated community and have "informed delivery". While I was out of town for 2 weeks a check came to me but it didn't make it to my mail box although all the mountain of junk mail arrived, all accounted for. I notified the USPS o the missing mail and received an email expressing their regret and that there's nothing that can be done. My regret is greater than theirs since I am unfortunately at their mercy as to which mail they choose to deliver. read more

Moved in to my house sept 1, filed to get a new key to my mailbox and it FINALLY arrived the first week of November! I've had the key for two weeks and now it no longer works. My husband and I have been here a few times over the past three weeks to pick up our mail. We had to set up our mailbox and put in an order for a key. However, they accidentally left off our unit number from our address, so getting our key made has been delayed even further. That being said, the lady there has been super friendly. What can I say about a post office? I usually do shipping from UPS as I have a pick up service that comes to my home. I ended up getting a P.O. Box here. I didn't know if I was going to be moving and needed a concrete place to get my mail. I hate filling out a change of address form. Plus, you can put your mail on hold if you go out of town, and they will hold your packages. I had friendly service when I set up my small P.O. Box and was given a run through on how things worked. So, it's just a part of life. No problems but no expectations either. read more
