I liked this post office surprisingly! I usually assume a post office visit will suck if I haven't been to a USPS location before. But this one proved me wrong! We stopped at this one because it was on the way to where we were heading on The Strip, and I needed to mail out a package. The wait was short (may have been because it was a Saturday morning), and the service was friendly and quick. Darcy was super nice (and her curly hair was so pretty--I know that has nothing to do with customer service lol), and she got my package taken care of really quickly. This location man...the drop off bin wouldnt open so i asked one of the clerks that was walking around in the back if it was broken and was told "Somebody probably needs to empty it"....somebody? are you that somebody? where can we find somebody? Amazing. Fast forward a few weeks and they must have gotten tired of emptying it because they put an 'out of order' sign on it and now have a huge bin out in the public space right by the line. After 2 properties I have lived at multiple times I've had to open claims on my packages not being delivered with excuses that's there no place yet we have parcel lockers. Always the same excuse and they will address them yet after all these years I keep having to call claims to get them to actually call me since they don't believe in answering the phone! 4 windows and only one person working almost every time. She is trying her best but the line keeps getting bigger and bigger. Mail attendant on the last window were you push the button saw the line and went to the back again. Unfortunately we keep getting bad service every time almost waited 40 minutes now and still in line. Hopefully the right person views this comment and does something about it soon. read more

Came to buy 2 stamps to mail out a letter and there was 13 people in line one person helping but no one at the counter. That one person was in the back for about 10 min with everyone left waiting in lobby in line. SMH they need to have STAMP MACHINES!!! There appear to be just a few mail carriers who do an exemplary job at this post office. We have had one temp who would not take our outgoing mail - and an attempt to contact the post office to report this resulted in no one picking up the phone. We have some carriers for whom it's too much to expect them to use the locks we provide in our mailboxes to lock up after mail delivery. This may not be a job requirement, but it's a simple request that doesn't take a lot of effort so we can protect our mail against theft. If the USPS wonders why more of us are resorting to other means of mail service, they should review the quality of hires who are working for them. read more

After reading the other reviews, I can 1000% guarantee every single one of them dealt with Pam. I had the incredibly misfortune of meeting Pam today when I came in to pick up my package. Two days prior, I came in to fill out a mail hold while waiting for my mail key to be ordered. On that day, I used a picture of my ID as my actual card is lost. I was assured that a picture was not only ok for use in office, but was also on to intercept my own package the next day if I see the mail carrier. I unfortunately couldn't be home at the time the mail carrier came, and now I have Pam. Fast forward to today, I explained to Pam my situation. She responded (already rude off the bat) "address and ID." I gave her the address while looking for the picture of my ID, she wrote it down, then proceeded to say "where is your ID?" I explained that it was missing currently, and on Monday I was given the ok to use a picture. Pam let me know that "this is a federal agency. I will be speaking to the girl that told you a picture is ok because it's not." in an extremely disrespectful tone. In attempts to keep the situation calm, I asked what to do since my ID is missing, and the package is containing medication for my dog. She said, and I quote, "I don't care. This is NEVADA we have REAL IDS. I don't know why YOU PEOPLE think you can use a picture." I don't know if she hates me for being young? But after this, I said "I have a picture in case I lose the ID and need it for situations that require it." which she once again let me know she "does not care" and made the incredibly out of line comment "I bet you don't try this at the clubs." I let Pam know that she needs to find a new job, since she obviously hates her position. This is when she let me know she's the Lead Clerk of 15 years. I'd be pissed too if I worked at a post office for 15 years, but taking it out on me for being young is ridiculous. I really hope she finds peace in her life soon. I still don't have my package, as she is now withholding it from me which I would like to think is illegal? Just don't get your packages mailed here, save yourself the headache. Terrible, terrible, terrible service. Because someone keeps stealing my mail I had to have my residential mail forwarded to a post office box in a Post Office Sub Station. Problem is the Post Office that handles my residential mail for whatever reason can't and won't forward the mail from my residence to my Post Office box? Now understand my post office box IS in a Post Office sub station. Yes, I did put in a change of address order! But the Post Office can't forward mail to it? Really? The end result is my mail DOESN'T get delivered ANYWHERE! It disappears off into the great post office void! I go to the Post Office for my residence and ask them where my mail is and why it's not getting delivered and all I got was unintelligible double speak. The end result is the U.S. Post Office can not deliver mail to....guess where....the U.S. Post Office! Sad, pathetic, government operation. If I could use ANYONE else for mail I would. But there is no one else, so I am stuck with basicly nonexistent service and excuses from the U.S. Post Office! But the best part is, during the Corona virus crisis Nevada has gone to mail in ballot voting. And yes the Post Office also LOST MY BALLOT! I call the elections department for my county and they tell me to go see the Post Office because they mailed it out. The Post Office lost it so now....I DON'T GET TO VOTE! The worst post office. Ten people in line and one worker. Most people rated this location one star. The Postmaster needs to look into this.

This is my post office and generally, I only need to pick up my mail. But, today had two notices for packages. The line at 10:30 AM was at least 25 people deep. First, they had 3 people at the front desk but within about 15 minutes it was down to 2 people and, shortly afterward was it was one person. The line had grown by this time and we all just stood there. Without any regard to people's ability to stand for over one hour, not to mention their valuable time, this Post Office really has zero consideration for the customer. They used to be helpful and friendly but now are surly and angry for reasons I will never know. When Covid-19 had just started I went in and was told "we are CLOSED." It was 3:30 in the afternoon and I said "no you are not." I know they are union workers and have to have "rest" periods but this is ridiculous. There is no private-sector employer who would tolerate this level of disregard for customers or if they did wouldn't be in business very long. read more

I have to wait in a long line with not enough staff on duty, maybe one person helping grab packages. The other is only accepting people with debit cards, lol the agent was beyond rude, and tbh, only taking people with debit cards isn't fair for all the other people like myself waiting in line . It's a post office. Not sure how much customer service you can expect. Lines are always long, employees just trying to get their jobs done and people are impatient. This location is decent, they have 1 or 2 people working for the most part. There's a drop off cart for those of us who prepared packages ahead of time. Don't use the outside Dropbox though, it gets broken into often. read more

I literally spent one entire month waiting for a package to get delivered until I had to intercepted paid $26 to intercepted and now to pay another $50 to go with UPS to get the job done because these people here couldn't get the job done the first time around And had no idea what was going on with the package. I only go to this post office location because it is convenient from my house. I would definitely not recommend this business location for any services other than dropping off already stamped mail in their mailbox. The wait times are absolutely horrible all the time and the customer service is consistently the worst ever! Please don't expect any of their representatives to be nice or even offer suggestions on the envelopes. I went in to mail something overnight in my own envelope to avoid any hassle and the cost was $38.55. I asked why because normally it is cheaper rate $26.00 . The lady named "D" said, "It's because you didn't use a usps envelope." I was like really, it would have been nice if you made that suggestion instead of letting a customer pay full price. So I stood in line, about 5 people in front of me and 3 windows open. It went pretty quick, the line got super long while I waited so get their quick if you go on lunch. As I filled out my mailing info I was quickly assisted and slightly joined the rooms conversation. When I walked out I realized 2 guest and I had stayed a moment to stay in the conversation. Place loses my mail constantly. DMV had to resend my registration 3 times because it kept getting lost in the mail. Sent a letter a few months back (Registered with a return receipt) and even the return receipt never made it back. Called the main post office, they opened a case (CA141384961) and big shocker, never heard back from them on it. Here is a big fuck you to the USPS! They stole my mail and gave me a number to call. I've been waiting for them to answer that call literally for DAYS now. Stealing my mail and not allowing me the opportunity to retrieve it is basically theft. You should have answered your phone one of the 100 times I tried. As a person who works in the customer service, this clerk was unprofessional. I know that during the times of Covid, hours are limited. When I stepped in to mail my 5x4 envelope I was greeted with "you need to go to another post office". Not even a " sorry ma'am, it's a 20 minute wait". All around unprofessional. I have been going to this post office for years once I live a few blocks away. The last year or so I go in for stamps and they are always out of the stamps I need. I go back several weeks after and they still have no one. They do not order stamps on a regular bases or when they run out. It seems it's not their priority even so it does say POST OFFICE on the outside of the building. I tried ordering on line but they do not deliver in the mail box, they make me wait for them and then I have to go pick up at the location. Just a few weeks ago I went in for my stamps, the extra ounce ones, and as usually, they had none. I was taken care by someone I have never seen working the window and who did not know what or how much an extra ounce stamp was. She offered no help to buy different nominations to make the extra ounce once she had no clue how much they were. Two or so week later I returned and got the same lady. I asked for the stamps and she looked puzzled then told me she has none. I asked if they at least have ordered them. All she had to say rudely was to tell me to go to the main post office. I explained that was a post office and I asked why don't they order stamps when they run out. Most rude person and continued to tell me they don't have to have stamps, and "Go to the main post office" When I asked if she had different nominations to make up for the ones I needed , she told me she does not even have regular stamps and once more told me " GO TO THE MAIN POST OFFICE" Sad that this is how they treat there regular customers and how rude their employees are now. I miss the old crew that was there all the time, they were nice and helpful but NOW? it's a joke. I am sorry but if it says POST OFFICE ON THE BUILDING I aspect to be able to buy stamps. Came in around noon time to ship out a package and did not expect to wait nearly an hour long. There was a pretty lengthy line when I came in and it did not help that there was only one lady working the line. When it was my turn, she was fairly rude and her attitude just made the wait time even worse. Usually when I come in to ship out a package, they usually print out the label and plaster it on there. But for some reason, she told me to step out of line and write on the package the address. It may have been my fault, but the way she handled the situation could have gone better. When I went back up to the counter after writing the address on the box, she said out loud to everyone else in line "if youre shipping out, you need to have the address written on the box before you come to my counter"... way to put someone on blast. read more

I went up to the post office to find a package that I forgot to put a label on. I know my fault and has nothing to do with the post office or their procedures. However, this review is about the way they handled the situation. I was being very pleasant the entire time but the person who was helping me kept muttering things under his breath. When I asked if they would possibly still have it he mutter its probably not here and I'm not going to look for it. Seriously!? I asked if they sort it there before it moves on. He sighs gets out of his seat and goes in the back to see if he can find it. I'm guessing that's what he is doing because he didn't say anything to me just got up and left. Comes back a few minutes later and from about 3 feet just says Nope as if its not his problem and he doesn't care. Look I get it, its my fault but when i asked where it would go next and I get this shrugged shoulders and the main sorting facility answer I'm getting a little irritated. I walked out. I would of just liked a little compassion and maybe some help IF there was any to be had. Any next steps? Just any help to find my package would of been great. But I basically got crapped on. Usually when I got to this post office everyone is very FRIENDLY and HELPFUL. However, there is this guy who sits and is basically collecting a paycheck. He sighs if he has to get up or seems quite irritated if you ask him questions. THAT'S YOUR JOB MAN. Also, the looks he gives are not friendly and little condensing or irritated. Maybe work on that since you know you work in the customer service field. I have resting bitch face but I still slap a smile on my face when I encounter the public. I am a great defender of the U.S. Postal Service, and I know they have a tough job. My regular carrier is great, but I also know he was off yesterday because we didn't get mail delivered. Period. And if the post office wants to say that's because we didn't have any mail to be delivered, I would say that is a lie, for the following reasons: 1. We had a letter to go out, the flag was up, and it wasn't taken. 2. Others on my street were in the same situation. 3. It was ad delivery day, and they weren't delivered. 4. An item mailed on Saturday had not arrived on Monday, so it was due yesterday. It didn't come. I tried to call the post office. The phone rings for more than three minutes and then disconnnects. So much for service. I guess the USPS here WANTS me to use other companies. read more

Captain Richard Head was severely lacking in customer service skills, he was very rude, and took about 15 minutes to find my registered mail. The girl next to him, who was too busy trying to hide her Facebook surfing, couldn't be bothered to try to help either. A shot out to our city carriers who work a tiring, thankless and semi dangerous job! They are pounding the pavement and commuting in metal boxes with no air conditioning or heater! (imagine when it's 120+ degrees in the middle of July or when our daily high is 30 degrees in December!) so we can recieve our parcels in a timely fashion. You may be amazed to find out just how many carriers have passed away due to the exposure of harsh weather conditions! They are truly under appreciated for their career choice!
