Wow first time here. I don't know why I was being talked to the way I was. I came in and the lady right away called me over " I can help you over here" and I smiled and said great. I asked if I can pay $150 cash for a money order and the rest on my card ( first time doing a money order ) she started telling me I had to use my physical card that's debit with the money in it. Basically she misunderstood me. But she seemed to be yelling at me in a condescending manner. She kept repeating herself explaining the same thing over and over again. I then said , " I have 150 cash can I pay that way" she says yes and then I said " that's what I was asking" After I asked her " do you need to know where I'm sending money to ( once again first time I ever send money through a money order) she responded, " No that's none of my business." I can tell she can be very nice she was joking around with others there I don't know if maybe she got frustrated with me quickly or maybe it was my confused facial expression. But wow. Lol safe to say I decided not to send my package through her and will never return to this location again. read more

This post office is in the cut, I didn't know it existed, until I found it on Yelp. I just needed to drop off a letter to the outside mailbox, so I didn't go inside. But it's good to know that it's a post office over in that area. read more

I walked in 36 min before they closed. As a small business owner I use the post office every week to drop packages. As soon as I walked in the very very rude employee says... "see I told you!! Never fails" oh I'm so sorry you actually had to work boo hoo!! The other two employees are always kind but that girl needs a serious attitude adjustment. Like you work so hard. Before the fire closed it I was a long time PO box holder when they closed I had just renewed my PO box and was told no refunds the USPS sent all my mall to the downtown station if I wanted to drive miles each way to go to downtown I would have picked a PO box downtown and with all the homeless at the Sunnyside branch there will soon be another fire read more

I went here on 4/2/25, and the whole facility was closed from the outside. I looked into why it would be closed and found out that the building had a structure fire back in 2022, and they never reopened. If you search this USPS up it says permanently closed... bummer. read more

This location has been closed since the fall of 2022 when there was a fire in the back. As of October 2024, it still hasn't reopened. When if was open, it operated as any other post office, it takes care of my needs! read more

Small post office near the Riverside Plaza. That about sums it up. I've actually been going here from years due to it's proximity to my work. It's definitely not the best looking or operating post office but it's convenient for me. In general the staff is nice and helpful and I don't really have any real issues about this place. It's usually a lot less busier than the location on Chicago but it does have a tendency to get packed at lunch time and towards the end of the day. Again, not the greatest post office but it's small and convenient for the people and businesses located near the Riverside Plaza. read more

THE ONLY post office where I mail the same thing twice because one of them is certain not to arrive! I'm almost sure they trash mail just for fun. They seem to only take breaks when the line is out the door... and by "they" I'm referring to the older white guy who I'm certain is the bitter employee getting his kicks off his tenure working there and thinks he can get away with murder. I HATE HAVING TO PAY TWICE AND HOPE IT GETS DELIVERED. AND I KNOW THEY AREN'T FOLLOWING RULES BECAUSE EACH ONE OF THEIR 5+ BLUE MAIL BOXES TO DROP OFF LETTERS IS FILLED TO THE DAMN BRIM! If you put ONE letter in... it won't go down! This place is sloppy, low on supplies and doesn't allow for electronic postage, labels, weighing or any self service options. A DAMN PITY! read more

My daughter needed help with a mailing issue and the two women workers belittled her to tears for asking questions. We filed a complaint but we're pretty sure that won't help much...The USPO should just close down as it's just a money losing business at this point. read more

This branch is the worst. No matter how much money you spend there or how often you go, they (especially the dark haired guy) act like they have never seen you before and are doing you a favor. The "customer service" reps could care less about efficiency or common decency, just a steady paycheck for as little work as possible. One exception- if you get there in the last 5 minutes before they close, mysteriously they are able to get everyone out by the magic hour. Avoid at all costs. read more

Typical post office. Limited parking and limited staff. They do have a do it your self station to avoid the lines. There is also always beggars. There is one off Chicago as well. Just as far to the house but in a direction that is on the way to work. read more

If you're shipping anything just save yourself the headache and take it to Fed Ex. The woman in front of me, had just as much trouble as I did trying to send her box out and they sent us both back through the line 3 times. In my first round, one employee told me to find the box that didn't require tape. She left to take her break and I couldn't figure out what the hell she was talking about considering their shipping box stands are a complete unorganized mess. I tried my best with a guess and came back for a second round to another employee, stood in line, only to be told I grabbed the wrong box. The woman before me had also come back for a second round just to be turned away again by another employee (not sure what was wrong with her box). I asked again for which specific box the first lady referred to, and this new lady just told me, "the medium box" to which I asked , okay so from the red or the blue stand? She just gave the answer, "The medium box" again. Damn it woman! I asked for specifics since I obviously got it wrong the first time! Fed up with this circus, I emptied my lost cause box and left to take my business to FedEx where they BOXED AND TAPED my shipment for me. All this chaos the other lady and I experienced because at this post office you're just told, "we don't provide tape". Is this standard at all post offices now? Shows how long it's been for me...anyways... AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID, especially if you're trying to ship!! read more

This post office sucks! Its slow, long lines, and the people work like snails. Also. They take weird lunch hours, so they are completely closed anytime around lunch.. JOSE did not help me and do his job correctly. I came yesterday to ship out a package in Riverside. It is my first time shipping out a package. He did not tell me that my label was incOrrect even though he saw the label, charged me priority (without even asking me what kind of shipping I want!!!) and shipped it out anyway!! I left the post office thinking my package was good to go. The next day my package was delivered to ME. Why?? My package was supposed to go to Seattle, WA from here in Riverside. I went back to the post office today and JOSE was there again. I told him what happpened and he said it was because my label was incorrect. If he was doing his job 100% efficiently (as they should) he would have noticed that the label was incorrect YESTERDAY not TODAY because we're obviously not IN SEATTLE, WA. We are in Riverside and my package NEEDS to be shipped TO SEATTLE. I don't appreciate his inconsiderate statement to me "I know this is your first time shipping a package, I can tell" he was very RUDE. He did not apologize for his WRONGDOING. At least I admitted for not knowing how to write out a label. He should learn to be humble and admit his own faults as well. If he would have done his job efficiently and truly cared about customer service, he would have saved me the time and trouble of getting this fixed. Employees like him who work for Government agencies such as USPS give a bad representation of what should be the best upheld customer service. read more

I don't understand the negative reviews on this post office! I run a business from home and mail out several hundred orders a week using this post office and in the 4 years I've been going here, I've only had one order get lost, and it was on the receiving ends problem, not this post office fault. The people who work there are very nice and helpful. At busy times of the day, yes, there will be a line, but that's how it is at any post office. I know I'm this day and age of immediate satisfaction people can't fathom having to wait, but get over yourselves! Sometimes in life....you just have to wait! read more
