More mail for a former tenant en route to me. The "RTS" is my handwriting from the month prior. The new antagonistic underline is from USPS.

This is Dunlop, right? Yeah, okay. 'Cause I've got another one for TW House that I'm posting today too. Highlights* from an abuse case I filed with the Postal Service Office of Inspector General's Hotline on April 4, 2023 which was promptly forwarded to Houston's USPS Consumer and Industry Contact Office. ____ I haven't had normal mail delivery via USPS since I left Binghamton, New York on April 30, 2021 despite sending regular/monthly complaints via USPS.com since summer of 2021, talking to several USPS staff in New York state and in Houston, and even yelping....Changing mailing addresses to the 77007 zip code in October 2022 hasn't helped. Basically, we either don't get our envelop mail or publications at all, or it's sporadic/unpredictable. And we've never stopped getting mail from former residents of the apartment we've been living in since moving to Houston. I also never stopped getting called to talk about the issue even though that's proven useless....Most recently, two different packages addressed to my two mailing addresses by an org called Buy From A Black Woman never got to me after they sent [one to Dunlop Station] in early March and (after I explained the USPS ordeal) another for free [to my newer mailing address in the 77007 zip code] in mid-March; so I had to submit two cases of theft over the weekend. [On April 3, 2023], after getting two emails from USPS saying United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) would be looking into the theft issue, I had one voicemail from Dunlop post office saying nothing new and one miss call from Dunlop all within 3 hours; later [that] afternoon I got an email from Cassandra Garcia, Supervisor Customer Service, telling me "To ensure that this matter is immediately corrected, appropriate action has been taken. Please contact me directly." After a lifetime of normal mail delivery and several in-state and out-of-state COAs, I'm disgusted. My Plan C is to get a mailing address in [North-to-East Texas where my family was] freed as slaves so I can claim ancestral lineage to get my effing mail. But I've decided to reach out to you all first.... ____ *I've removed the following names of USPS postal workers for better flow: Cassandra Garcia, "Nicole" the "area manager", and Sonya Mackey

I can't even begin to say how disappointing this branch is. As a national organization that is supposed to uphold a certain standard and prestige, this branch falls so far from the expectations that it's organization upholds. Multiple times packages are lost, can't be found (when it was right there in their storage room), said it's delivered and no where to be found, late, etc. You cannot blame a pandemic for disorganization and unprofessionalism. Not to mention that the lobby area is horrendously filthy! I wish my zip code can switch to another branch.

These people have the worse ever customer services!! I can't believe that that they even get paid !

Very rude employees. Calls are put on hold to never pick back up. They would be out of business if this was a private company.

I put a hold on my mail and selected the option to pickup my mail that was held. I would rather pick it up because the mailbox is small. I actually resumed the regular delivery for before I returned home. The worker I spoke to told me the day the hold ends is the same day it starts delivery... which I agree. But my request said "Customer will pick up accumulated mail at Post Office". On the FAQ is says, "Note: There is a 10 day period in which to pick up mail at the end of a USPS Hold Mail® service request. If not picked up by this deadline, it will be returned to sender. If your delivery does not resume as requested please Contact Us." I went to pickup my mail before returning home today and the mail was already delivered to the house.

CONSUMER BEWARE I…read moreused Postal Zone to occasionally forward packages to an out of state address. I signed up for Postal Zone's mail forwarding services via AnytimeMailbox.com. Apparently certain employees at the Postal Zone do not know how to use the mail forwarding software because they make mistakes and they put a CRAZY profit markup on simple mail forwarding services. On my end, I am asked if there are any special directions that I want Postal Zone to take note of. I notated my account to reflect that ALL packages are to be mailed via USPS Priority Mail. They did this correctly the first time, but then it was downhill from there. My most recent package was forwarded via USPS Ground...which takes a very long time for me to receive. I tried calling Postal Zone, after my 3rd call...someone finally answered. I pointed out their error, but they would not admit mistake and claimed that their software doesn't have my Priority Mail notes on they end. I pointed out that they had been following my notes and forwarding packages via Priority Mail, but the guy I spoke to would not even acknowledge this statement (despited there is a digital log on my previous shipment from them). Even the mail forwarding software company, AnytimeMailbox.com, got involved and called them to show them how to view my notes (they could see them too), but the Postal Zone employee told the software people that they were wrong and there are no notes. And.. Businesses like Postal Zone get discounted shipping rates, they don't pay retail. However, the Postal Zone more than doubles the retail cost of shipping for USPS Priority Mail (keep in mind that the USPS provides the envelopes for free). The literally put my package into a USPS flat rate envelope (less than 2 minutes to do). In summary, they may have good in-person customer service, but I would not use them for mail forwarding.

It's not perfect, but I can't think of too many post offices that are. The best things? Parking is abundant, the crowds aren't really here in full force (even during closing time), and it seems low-key most of the time. I am able to send most packages without much stress and the self service machine is usually working quite well. I haven't owned a PO Box here, but I don't intend to either. The not-so-fun things? The staff is painfully slow sometimes. Even though there's no line, the wait can be a little bit of a deterrent when the counter ladies are taking their time with each customer. It's likely the customers, but they always seem to run out of pens for filling out forms, so bring your own. The place also smells a bit like mildew, but I've noticed this is common with most post offices throughout the city. If I can get here, send a package / certified letter, and leave in 5 minutes or less, I consider that a thumbs up. It hasn't always been the case, but for the most part, this is a likely scenario for most of my visits.
