I fear I ordered the wrong thing. The inside of this place is really dark and moody with cool branding. Their AC must have been out though it was unbearably hot and it made us not want to stay and enjoy there. I should have ordered the egg coffee or something with a cold foam. The iced white wasn't bad, but I've definitely had tastier Vietnamese coffees at OMI or Vietfive. I'd give this place another chance though
Loved my hojita latte. These are hard to find in the US...can't think of another cafe that has this flavor. Tasted exactly like how it did when I was in Japan. I was blown away by the service. The guy at the cash register was talking customers through the flavor profile of each drink, how they could customize it to exactly what they wanted, it was above and beyond the service you'd get at another coffee shop. The interior is designed all black with some stools along the window.

After craving egg foam coffee for over 4 months, I finally got to try Fat Miilk's viral drink. The coffee had a wonderful, strong taste that was still sweet enough to not be too bitter. If you like Vietnamese coffee, you'll like this base. The egg foam wasn't as sweet/salty as some others I've tried. It was good, but wasn't exceptional to me. Lady M was having a pop up at the shop at the time we visited and my bf ordered the hot chocolate special. The toasted/melted marshmallow on top was super good and a wonderful touch. It was nice to see our barista torch it into the drink, pretty cool experience. The added biscuit was also a nice touch. The chocolate itself had a rich taste, however it was a little ironic how the beverage itself wasn't very hot or as hot as it could've been after we got it. It seemed to cool pretty quickly, so we were a little disappointed. Overall, the staff were very kind and the drinks were decent. I'd love to come back and try their other specials next time I'm in the area.

I absolutely loved the ube latte, it had perfect shot of caffeine and the ube taste to complement the coffee. My friend who ordered ube matcha latte did not quite like his drink but it was partly his fault as he did not mix the drink well. Egg foam coffee was good too as per my friend, I don't like the yolky taste so I skipped it. They don't have any food to grab so that is a bummer and the seating space is pretty limited too! Overall, a good cafe and I will stop by if I'm again in the neighborhood. They are also part of inKind so you can get discounts while you make the payment using the app.
If you are looking for some good coffee in the uptown area , Fat Miilk is a great spot to try. They offer an array of flavors, but my go to is the matcha. The shop is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful with any questions. It's worth a try if you are near.

I tried my husband's hot coffee and it was not that good so I think sticking to iced here is probably best. The egg coffee egg flavor was a little overpowering when sipping straight but when I stirred it, it was a lot better.

They have a lovely space with bar seating, and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the Argyle area. I got their hot signature coffee and it was very tasty and had a unique flavor, probably thanks to their robusta beans. I should've mixed it a bit more since a lot of the condensed milk in the drink ended up at the bottom, but others liked that it was not too sweet and the coffee flavor came through nicely. They also had packages of beans you can buy that they grind for you, and yummy pastries from Phlour bakery! Will definitely be back sometime to try their other drinks!

I tried the iced egg coffee, and I'm still thinking about it weeks later. It was so creamy, with the salted egg yolk on top adding a twist that took it to the next level. I also ordered a matcha latte with ube milk, which was just as delicious--smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Fat Miilk also offers a variety of other drinks and pastries. While seating is a bit limited, my sister and I were lucky enough to snag a spot at the bar. Definitely will be coming back to try their traditional Vietnamese coffee! :-)

Super cute cafe! Coffee was delicious I got the sea salt coffee and the foam was the perfect amount of salt on top and not too sweet. Coffee tasted divine. My friend got their egg coffee and that was also delicious. Another person got their Ube latte which the loved. Staff were super nice and churning out drinks super fast. Very pleasant experience. Cafe has some seating but not a lot. Perfect place to grab a drink and walk around the area. read more

My friends and I were visiting Chicago from St. Louis and wanted to check out Fat Millk. Fat Miilk is so delicious and will definitely get you through your day! Cute small spot with minimal seating. Great service. Drinks come out so fast! They have mastered Vietnamese coffee on tap. I had the signature drink. It's small inside; they had the seating area closed off when I went so there were only a few seats at a bar. There was no food or snacks, only drinks. The coffee is good and worth a try. read more

I came in on a Sunday and the vibe was such a vibe here, with the interior art, and the phin lab/bar. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, and the girl helped me order my drink to my liking. I got the ube iced coffee, with just one shot of espresso since I can handle very little caffeine, and of course I asked for it not too sweet. It was made perfectly, and the ube milk was so delicious. My husband got the Hot Fat Miilk Signature, and it was perfect for him. We also got to try the Iced Vanilla Latte with Sea Salt Cold Cream and that one was sooo yummy. I recommend this coffee shop, and love the seating against the glass window to people watch and just enjoy the cafe atmosphere. read more

While searching for coffee after a nearby meal, I stumbled upon this spot and lucky me, they had a happy hour special: 50% off coffee drinks Monday through Friday from 1-3 p.m. Since it was 1:30, I decided to give it a shot. I ordered an Americano and an egg coffee, though only the Americano was discounted. I didn't ask why, though I kind of wish I had. Both drinks were solid, but the egg coffee was the clear winner. That said, the Americano still hit the spot especially at half off! This place is small, and unfortunately, all the indoor seating was taken while I was there. But I took that as a good sign it usually means you're in the right place for coffee! Luckily, there's a bus stop outside with a bench, so I soaked up some sun while enjoying my drinks. Sun and coffee? Definitely a win for the day! read more

Ive been to Fat Miilk more than once. The first time was great and I got a coffee with condensed milk. This time when going with my friend I wanted to try something new and got the egg coffee. Im unsure what the taste was but it was not great. I did really enjoy the sea salt coffee my friend got. The service was good there were a lot of people waiting but they did move relatively quickly. We had the egg coffee and the ube matcha latte and both were delicious! The rich coffee flavor of the egg coffee was deep and layered. There's no actual eggy flavor, but the thick, foaminess of the drink comes from the egg. There's ube matcha was a beautiful green and purple (until I shook and mixed it up) and the flavor was a perfect sweet, ube forward flavor. It's not very matcha-y but you can tell the slight bitterness and fresh flavor comes from the matcha. You really need to mix up the drink, otherwise there is a clear divide in flavor between the matcha on top and the sweet ube milk below. The store is clean and modern and the staff was efficient. read more

On a mild Sunday afternoon, we stopped by Fat Miilk for a creamy oat milk latte and it was delicious!!! Smooth, flavorful, just a touch of bitterness and lots of ice to keep it cool. It was so good, I grabbed two bags of robusta beans to take with me. The staff were friendly and the whole place had a laid back vibe. Sit at the window and sip while you watch the denizens of North Broadway going about their business. Good stuff. Cheers to Fat Miilk for bringing a Vietnamese coffee shop to Argyle. I ordered a simple coffee from Fat Miilk on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 11 am. It wasn't busy during this time. One thing that really caught my eye about this establishment was the interior design. I thought the coffee shop had such a nice aesthetic with its black walls and fixtures. The white mural of the lady in the straw hat added a nice contrast to the overall black aesthetics. I just had a simple Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. It had a nice bold flavor and the condensed milk gave the coffee some richness that you can't really achieve with traditional creamer. I don't typically drink Vietnamese iced coffee even as a Vietnamese-American myself because I think most places that sell it make it too unbalanced. However, this Fat Miilk's Vietnamese iced coffee had just the right amount of creaminess from the condensed milk and richness of the coffee. Service was great. I commend the barista for concocting such a well-crafted iced coffee. read more

Had to try this place on account of being a Ramsay fan. Yes this is the one from the show! Overall I was pleased with the flavor of the coffee, inside design is striking like to contrasts..Coffee is very good but the portion is a bit small for 6 bucks. It is Chi-Town so there is that. The entire cafe space is super cool in terms of interior decor! The all black with the textures on the wall make it have such a cool feel. This space is definitely a grab and go coffee feel as opposed to a WFH type of cafe. The coffee is DELICIOUS. It's one of my favorites in the city! The ladies who were working there were nice and service was quick. Lan, the owner, is so sweet and extremely friendly! This is 100% worth stopping by at before or after a meal in uptown. read more

Cute coffee shop by Argyle that has a variety of different coffees. It is a little pricey for coffee but it's nice to offer some different options. The staff were all very nice and the coffee tasted good too. The coffee cups are cute too if you wanted to keep it in the future. I don't drink coffee too often but I enjoyed their lattes. read more
