After Saturday, i feel even stronger about that. Friday night, my husband was getting ready to do our laundry and the washer broke. He was all ready to go to the laundromat on Saturday after I bagged everything up. But then i came up with contacting Len Harris. We had only two small windows of time to work with: this past Saturday in the afternoon and next Saturday, same time frame. I connected my husband with them, he went over, bought a floor model and it was delivered and installed the same day! We were VERY pleased!

And even calling it a bookstore is misleading, because it also sells NYU shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and other NYU paraphernalia. Regarding computers, I have noticed that the prices are competitive with other retailers, and when I once purchased RAM for a computer, it was actually cheaper. You will probably get better prices online, but if you need something computer-related immediately, you should check this place out. Textbooks, however... Well, as my dad says, "that's how they get ya'!" They are way overpriced at any university. Unfortunately, the Barnes & Noble on 5th Avenue and 17th St., which used to have decent prices on textbooks, is no more. I loved going there as an undergrad and grad student and saving a few bucks. If you are a NYU student, you are probably stuck getting your textbooks here, unless you shop for them on Amazon or something. On the other hand, you can rent textbooks at this bookstore. I have never rented a textbook before, so I can't say anything about it. There is a regular bookstore, and the prices there are decent. They also sell classics at a discount for $3-$6. The clothing section is pretty good, and the prices aren't bad. Depending on what you get, items can vary from $15 (t-shirt) to $70 or so. They used to have a cafe, but unfortunately they closed it down. However, it is a nice place to visit, especially if you want to pick up an NYU shirt.

I went back to the store today since they gave 3 months warranty. When I got there, there's another technician. I think he thought I am a new customer to fix the wi-fi, then he told me the charge will be $45. I told him I come here to fix the wifi under the warranty, and I asked him why they charge me for $50 last time. He then told me "ok, now the price is $55". Also, he ask me to go tomorrow. It was only 6:30 when I got there. The technician was extremely rude. Their pricing is not staple and unfair. That's all I want to say.

I have done extensive research and no one has come even close when it came to the prices that Nordam Appliance offers. I did not visit their store but was able to get answers to all of my questions via phone (spoke with Wes). Much to my surprise, my range was delivered within two days, meanwhile it takes over two months for a major national wholesale retailer to ship the remaining appliances I ordered with them. I now regret not coming across Nordam Appliance earlier. Will definitely be back for more appliances in the future.

My pretty lamp was giving off sparks, and it even burnt a hole in the base of a light bulb! I was…read morefeeling sad, because I thought my lamp was beyond repair, but I figured nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I brought it to Continental Hardware. They re-wired it and they replaced the socket where the light bulb gets inserted, and now it is as good as new! The whole process took less than a week, and they only charged me $17 and change. Of course, before I brought my lamp home, I asked the nice gentleman who was working behind the counter to try it out for me, and he cheerfully obliged. When I praised the excellent work, he thanked me, and he informed me that they have been doing this for years. I am so happy and I highly recommend Continental Hardware to anyone who needs to have a lamp re-wired and/or a lamp's light bulb socket replaced.
