We were impressed with Flavia's knowledge and professionalism when she came to review the project for the estimate. She asked questions to understand our needs and wants. She patiently listened and answers our questions. During the installation, Flavia came out a few times to ensure everything was going well. She also helped find just the right transition pieces to work with the existing flooring outside the baths. The installation was a two day process. It went very smoothly and was handled in a way that caused the least amount of disruption for us. Our installer was skilled and did a great job not only with the tile, but with new baseboard and a new toilet installation in one of the baths. He was great to work with. Flavia came out one last time after the installation to ensure everything was good and that we were happy with the result. Pro Floors' cost estimate was in the middle of the three estimates we received. But, our choice was based more on our experience during the initial visit than anything else. We were not disappointed. We are very happy with the quality work and service we received, and definitely got our money's worth.

The quote process was efficient and painless. The installation team was courteous and conscientious. They made the removal of old carpet and tile painless - it was all gone in 1 morning, ready for new wood floor installation. They were able to put floor balancing material and moisture barrier the same day. They worked with us on a tricky moulding situation in our kitchen that allowed us to have a seemless look throughout our home. In one day, the team was able to install all the floors and baseboards with amazing speed - moving our washer and dryer (and replacing it too!). The final product was PERFECTLY installed. The quote matched the payment and we are very satisfied with the price and end product. We highly recommend the entire team at Pro Floors.

    * NG Flooring** I…read morerecently had the pleasure of working with NG Flooring, and my project manager, Tobias, was exceptional! From the very beginning, he was incredibly helpful and truly understood the scope of the project and the timeframe I was aiming for. Given the complexities of other projects happening simultaneously, Tobias navigated everything with professionalism and clear communication. He set realistic expectations and timelines, which made the entire process much smoother. The final result exceeded my expectations--the new floors look fantastic! The team efficiently demoed the old flooring, reattached the baseboards, and even installed beautiful tile in the bathrooms. I couldn't be happier with the quality of work and the service I received. I highly recommend NG Flooring and give them a well-deserved five-star rating!

We hired Wolff Construction for a kitchen and living room remodel, and NG Floors was subcontracted…read moreto replace the flooring throughout our home. Unfortunately, the flooring portion of the project became an extremely stressful experience. Throughout the replacement project after our GC was informed of the flooring not being a product failure, Nazar (owner) was our primary and essentially only point of contact regarding the second flooring installation and follow-up work. One of the ongoing frustrations throughout the process was the lack of proactive communication and scheduling consistency. Many times, we found ourselves having to initiate contact just to understand timelines, next steps, or when work would actually resume. There were also instances where scheduling expectations were unclear or changed at the last minute, including receiving calls late on Fridays asking if crews could come work on Saturdays after we had previously understood that no weekend work was planned. That level of uncertainty became very difficult to manage while simultaneously trying to live around a major flooring replacement. After installation, the flooring began failing. What was initially presented as a product issue ultimately turned into a dispute involving the flooring manufacturer, who required a third-party inspection to determine the cause of failure. That independent inspection identified the issue as installation-related, including improper floor preparation, spacing issues, and the absence of a proper moisture barrier. What made the situation especially difficult was the amount of disruption this caused our family. Our home was left torn apart and partially unlivable for over three months during the holidays, beginning Nov. 3rd and extending well past New Year's and into February while the flooring issue was being addressed. This was not due to material shortages or product availability delays, but rather the prolonged pace of the repair process itself. Despite the actual flooring work only taking a couple of weeks to complete, we spent more than 90 days living in and out of the house while our belongings were stacked throughout the garage and much of the home was reduced to exposed concrete slab. We later learned that the flooring material installed was also of a noticeably lower quality than the original flooring product we believed was being matched as part of the initial remodel project. Even after the installation deficiencies were identified, many proposed solutions came with resistance or delays, and we ultimately had to hire an outside flooring professional at our own expense to oversee the final installation process ourselves. We also paid for hotel stays and other various costs associated with making sure the second replacement job was done to ASTM standards. To be fair, there were times communication was responsive, which is why this is not a 1-star review. However, this experience required far more time, oversight, and stress than any homeowner should reasonably expect from a professional flooring installation. During the amount of due diligence we were forced to do throughout this process, we also learned that California contractor regulations generally limit upfront deposits on home-improvement contracts to 10% or $1,000, whichever is less. In our case, substantially more than that was collected upfront. One thing this experience taught us is how important it is for homeowners to educate themselves on flooring installation standards, moisture requirements, and California contractor protections before beginning a major flooring project. Unfortunately, we trusted the process more than we should have and only learned many of these standards after problems began appearing. For anyone beginning a flooring project, we would strongly encourage reviewing: * ASTM flooring and subfloor preparation standards * Manufacturer installation requirements * California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) contract and deposit regulations We genuinely hope sharing our experience helps other homeowners avoid going through a similar situation.

Our floor was torn up in a hallway/master bath & master bedroom due to a flood. We were looking for someone to pull up floor from the spare bedroom and use the pieces to patch the remaining parts that were damaged due to a flood. He arrived and talked through our options with us and got back to us in a reasonable time to schedule & get to work. We had a quote from another floor guy but we really liked Josh & his quote was great so we were in. The work itself took about a day a half and the patchwork was seamless. He was able to reuse many of the floor pieces to fix the main areas and we are now off to get the remaining bedroom carpeted. We woulda went with him for this as well but that was outside of his scope. Nevertheless the job was done below budget and quickly might I add. He also fixed a linen cabinet that had been removed due to the water damage. He was meticulous and thorough in cutting and replacing the baseboards as well. We cannot recommend him highly enough. You will not find a better price for such high quality of work. Thank you, Josh's Flooring!

Outstanding Work by Josh's Flooring - Highly Recommended…read more I had an excellent experience working with Josh's Flooring and wanted to share my appreciation for the professionalism and craftsmanship they brought to my project. After dealing with a challenging situation involving a prior flooring installation that had to be completely removed and corrected, Josh stepped in and handled the remediation with a level of expertise and care that immediately gave me confidence. From the initial evaluation through the final installation, everything was handled methodically and transparently. Josh has over 30 years of experience, and it shows. He took the time to properly assess the subfloor conditions, explain the options, and recommend the correct preparation and installation approach to ensure the new floor would perform properly long-term. There were no shortcuts, and the work was done to a standard that clearly reflects pride in the craft. A few things that really stood out: * Honest and knowledgeable guidance. Josh was straightforward about what was needed to fix the issues correctly and did not try to upsell unnecessary work. * Attention to detail. Subfloor preparation, layout, and finishing touches were all handled with care. * Clear communication. I always knew what the next step was and why it mattered. * Professional integrity. Josh stands behind his work and takes the long-term performance of the floor seriously. The final result looks fantastic and, more importantly, was installed correctly so I can have confidence in it for years to come. If you are looking for a flooring contractor who values quality workmanship, transparency, and doing the job right the first time, I would absolutely recommend Josh's Flooring.

I considered many contractors for this job from 916 floors, Euro Flooring, Saws flooring, LJ Floors…read moreand more. But, I hired Maksym Kiporuk who goes by either Max or Kip of Kip home improvement. Max is C-15 licensed for flooring and floor covering, bonded and insured (CSLB 1114647). I found him originally on Thumbtack and came highly recommended from customers who he completed jobs for. He was new to Yelp. His pricing was very fair for the high quality of work his crew of 2 do . Max manages the quality and finish and communicates with you throughout the install process. My daughter selected Republic Brazilian Tigerwood which is an AC3 grade water resistant laminate flooring from Pro flooring in Sacramento. Kip did pass his contractor discount pricing on materials to us which was lower than the cash price a consumer would normally get otherwise. My daughter had a new construction Beazer home. He did the demo of carpet, laminate, removed baseboards and found using a Tramax style moisture meter (V1-D1). Normal reading of 12-15 in different areas, he was expecting 7 or below which is normal. So he treated the whole area with Silka MB which is a moisture barrier which turns the concrete a blue color and dries overnight. Moisture cannot come up once that is applied. It was a 4 day job. So 1 day for demo, grind. Leveling and sealer. Followed by Silka MB moisture barrier on second day. Then put down a Quietstep silver moisture barrier and laminate install over the next 2 days. The floor is floating so expect a little gap on the sides which gets covered by baseboards. His cuts and transitions from his team were good. His team cleaned up each day. Took a leaf blower and cleaned garage and driveway. They did a nice clean install. No damage to any walls or doors. They did reseat the closet doors and kindly received an Amazon package when we were kind enough to put inside a room. They caulked the gaps around the baseboards and cleaned up after themselves. Kip came the last day and made a few corrections to the caulking, cleaned, took payment and left. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kip to anyone looking for a flooring licensed contractor. His work is 5* and his team takes pride in their work. His pricing is also very fair and he passes his contractor discount on materials to you which is lower than the consumer cash price. Overall you will receive a quality install at a fair competitive price and peace of mind as he is licensed, bonded, and insured and an overall nice friendly guy as is his team.

From start to finish, they were highly professional and clearly knew exactly what needed to be done. The timeline estimate was very accurate. Max originally said the project would take about 5-6 days, but he went above and beyond and completed it in just 3 days. Even with the faster turnaround, the quality was not compromised at all. In fact, the final result turned out even better than we had expected. Their pricing was also the most reasonable and affordable out of the 15 quotes I received before choosing this company. Max truly exceeded our expectations. If you are looking to upgrade or replace your home's flooring, Max and KIP Home Improvements are an excellent choice.
