Staff was really nice, but food took a little longer than we were told to come out despite being the only ones in the restaurant. By the time we got our food, we ended up taking it to go because of our rush but the food itself was really good! I was pleasantly surprised, this spot has great options and it's affordable. Had delivery. The buffalo chicken tenders were brown. Had been refried/heated multiple times before they were got to me. Skimpy portions. Buffalo chicken calzone was solid - I've certainly had better but I'd get it again. Order was ready within 20-25 minutes, and staff was polite. University Pizza you need to do Better!!! So I just want everyone in Framingham to know about University Pizza. One of my kiddos were lucky enough to have someone pay and send them a pizza from University Pizza in Framingham. First they got the order wrong (but the kiddo would have probably enjoyed anything) and then left the pizza at the door. I work at Wayside Youth and Family in Framingham. This is a facility for kiddos ages 12-18 who have various family situations and we have about 7 different houses on campus right now. The kiddo never received their pizza and when I called to talk to the manager he told me he wasn't giving us a "free" pizza, that he tried to call and no one answered .... so he left it !! (on a campus mind you) When I explained that this was a juvenile facility and asked him to reimburse the person who sent it or send a correct pizza the manager refused telling me that our kiddos "don't tip me anyways". I again explained these kids were in a program he told me again "I'm not giving you a free pizza" Yes, at this point I did ask him nicely how he sleeps at night... it's a damn pizza!!! I will NOT be doing any business with these people anymore... It's a business and was only a pizza that was rightfully paid for ... it would not have hurt him to send the pizza that was originally ordered back !!! WOW! We just left University Pizza, in search of another sub shop. BTW, We have been going to them on average 1x/week for years. And, we basically order the same two subs each time. (A sub for my Mom & one for my son.) Typically, there is a very nice older couple who takes our order. This time it was a young cashier and he stated that they will add roast beef or ham but no salami to the turkey sub. So, I asked him if he could ask the older guy who works there. From the back area came this rough speaking man, who apparently was the owner and very angry that he was being asked to add 2 pieces of salami with the turkey sub. Geez, who knew I was asking for something so difficult. The owner was snapping right and left at me, I was looking at the woman on the left of me who was as shocked as I was at his rude demeanor. I am glad we were not there alone...The other lady who was buying her dinner, my son, and I stood there in silent horror. ------------------------------------------------------------------- SO, the owner gets an A+ as the The Soup Nazi, but an F as a friendly local sub shop. ------------------------------------------------------------------- We ended up going to Centre Pizza at 1255 Worcester Rd., Framingham. This was not even on my radar today. It's July 4th, I figure let me try a dog next door at Mad Willies. Wrong...they'd closed for the holiday. I look next door and it's no longer Centre Pizza. This place looks much nicer and updated from the outside. I walk in and lo and behold, the inside looks much more sparklie. Note to the owners, it was money well spent. The place was empty, I walked right up to the counter and placed my order. The young lady at the counter friendly, though a bit bored after I ordered as she was on her cell phone while I waited for my food. Needless to say, my wait seemed like it was less then ten minutes for my Veal Parm Sub, and I was on my way. It was hot and it tasted fresh. Other then that, there wasn't anything remarkable about it. Based on the review by Leslie L, I'd stop back to try a pizza. FYI-a couple of tables out front if you want to eat al fresco. read more

Its a small mom-pop joint. Not the best greek pizza joint ever, but certainly not the worst. Its a good place to get a delicious gyro on a starving afternoon. Across from Framingham State, I can only assume that when the kids are fed up with their meal plan offerings, they have a walking distance respite. Traditional greek pizza offerings, nice service and conveniently located. Clean too. I grabbed a sub for my teen on my way over to Marian High, and he was as pleased with it as I was with the chicken gyro I inhaled while waiting. I'd do them again! read more

We moved here 18 months ago and never went here based on the yelp reviews. Well I was with a friend today and he said let's try this place. I'm glad I did, we ordered a steak and cheese and a turkey sub- both were excellent and oven heated with crisp on the edges. We got a pepperoni pizza and buffalo wings to go which my husband loved. This place is decent.. I'm kind of hooked on their hot subs and haven't tried their pizza yet. Their fries are real good too.. You can eat in here because there are plenty of tables, it's always very clean when I go in and they have restrooms for their customers (I haven't used them so I can't comment on the condition). Nice people running a small local business, decent pizza, prompt service. Unfortunately they've decided to charge an illegal $1 fee to patrons who prefer to pay by credit or debit for a transaction under $10. Massachusetts State Law forbids these types of fees. They insisted it was legal and said they had asked their lawyer. I cited MA Chap. 140D, Sec. 28A and recommended a better lawyer. If you go, and you should, don't pay the fee. read more

Hot food close to campus. University Pizza sells tasty and affordable food. They have a good selection of comfort food. The service is great and the employees are friendly. The real selling point is the hours. Yelp does not have the hours up to date as of this posting. Saturday nights they are open until midnight and week nights until one in the morning. Basic Greek pizza joint across from FSU. I've stopped by a few times during my endless peregrinations back and forth on Rt. 9. I must say, they make a great Chicken Parm. Robust tomato sauce and always cooked to perfection with the cheese nice and browned on top. Definitely a cut above what's offered at most pizza places like this. Went to University Pizza for the fist time and ordered a pizza which was great! We had pepperoni, onion and mushroom. My second trip a couple weeks later was for a sandwich. I had the chicken salad. The large sandwich was enough for 2-3 people. It was loaded with chicken salad and other toppings including sliced pepperoncinis which made it perfect. Never ordering from here again. I have only used yelp a few times in the many years I have had it and it is only to warn people of what they will end up encountering at these establishments. This place makes many errors with their food and refuses to own up to their mistakes. It is overpriced and make sure you check your receipt after buy food from them because they will try and overcharge you. The customer service is horrible and the owners cannot handle criticism, when they screwed up our order instead of trying to fix their error they immediately jump to the defensive and take no responsibility for their mistake. They offer no refund and you will sadly be stuck with something you didn't order and less money in your pocket. After ordering 2x a month for 5+ years I'm reducing to one star because of the frequent small mess ups in my order (wrong dressing, forgetting a soda w delivery, etc). Today Was the last straw went to pick up a calzone and was instead given a pizza - completely their mistake they shrugged off. Didn't offer to remake or anything. They said they wouldn't charge me as much - I figured maybe half off - but no they gave me $1 off and then overcharged me for everything else. Honestly I should've pitched a fit Bc $1 for their mess up is bs (not to mention they gave me the wrong salad dressing as well but I noticed before leaving). Pizza is listed as $10.95 on their website and menu Sub was 7.50, and Salad was 7.75. Somehow I still spent $28.60 which is more than regular prices + tax not even factoring in $1 discount. I called back to complain once I got home to review the prices on the menu and they disagreed with me and said they didn't overcharge me. I said I guess it's time I find a new pizza place and they hung up. So you lost a customer that spent $50 a month there. Awful experience, called to order a pizza for delivery initially they told me it would be 15-20 minutes then they changed it to 45 minutes to an hour. After a little over an hour I called to check in on my order, they told me it would be there any minute. 15 minutes later (so at least an hour and 20 minutes now) my pizza was finally delivered and it was cold, not even warm! Mind you the place is less than a mile from my house. Will not be ordering from here again read more
