Wendy and Millen at the front desk are great and very helpful. Techs in the back that do the tests etc are also great. All ends I've encountered are great and caring. Clean place from the lobby to the back for the tests and the bathrooms. I love how they take the time to explain things especially when asked. I personally ask questions as the tests go on so I can understand better what's being said etc and I love how they take the time to explain things. The type of care I get is wonderful. I had an appoint on a Tuesday afternoon. I checked in via. the texted link. Closer to my appointment time, I received a text to fill out some forms once I arrive and stay in my car. I arrived about 25 minutes early to my appointment, about 5 minutes towards my wait time I was called in. I waited in the waiting room for about two minutes and called in for my CT scan. The 3 ladies at the front desk were kind and helpful! The establish over all was welcoming. read more

After reading other reviews for this location, I am relieved that I get to write a positive review. I was able to make an appointment and complete online check-in relatively easily. Upon entering, I was greeted by a friendly staff member at the front desk. Unfortunately not everything uploaded online correctly and they needed to fix it, but were happy to do so. --The front desk was extremely pleasant to work with! Staff remained calm and courteous despite the long line that accumulated after I checked in. I had an appointment for a series of x-rays and did not wait long. The x-ray technician was delightful. The directions throughout the process were kindly clarified. Most importantly, her bedside manner was excellent! She checked on me throughout the entire time. I was in and out in a timely fashion. My husband had a PET Scan at this location last week. The office was clean and bright. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. George, who did the procedure, explained everything to us clearly. I would highly recommend. read more

The staff at this location is HORRIBLE! I was at this location on 01/29 and the African-American little girl with short hair at the front desk CANNOT be the face anyone that is SICK or possibly dying should be interacting with. She is RUDE, passive-aggressive, and lacks any customer service skills. When I canceled my appointment because I do not trust these people to conduct any tests on me she was GLEEFUL that I was not going to be getting my medical service at this location. Talk about ignorance! I will NEVER go back to any URG facility. What a damn mess. read more

I will never go to the Edison, NJ location again!!! I had a 2:00 appointment today for a sonogram and arrived at 1:30. Shortly after 2:00 I was called into the office in which they perform the sonograms and was informed by Danielle the technician that she couldn't perform the service because the term "doppler" was not included on the script by my urologist. She said that she was calling the urologist's office all day and could not get through. From the waiting room I made numerous calls to the urologist and also to RWJ (the hospital which I was discharged from and with whom the urologist is associated with). At approximately 3:00 I received a call from the urologist, who apologized for the problems with their phone system and informed me that she sent a second script to include the term "doppler". I confirmed with the office staff that they did receive the second script but that they could not fit me into their schedule for today and that I would have to reschedule for another day. I was very upset as I recently had surgery and am unable to drive myself to these appointments. The office staff condescendingly told me that it would be unfair to all of the other people in the waiting room if they were to take me today. While I acknowledged that the problem originated from the urologist's phone system, I asked why I wasn't called by 11:00 or 12:00 to inform me that the appointment might need to be canceled. Wouldn't that have been fair to me? No one at the front desk had an answer for that. At least they could have told me at 1:30 when I arrived that they were going to cancel the appointment. Instead of waiting over 1/2 hour in the waiting room, I could have started to contact the urologist's office and had gotten the second script sooner. The response I received from one of the staff members was to talk over me and tell me that I would not be having the sonogram today. She was NASTY! It is now clear to me that patients' concerns/satisfaction has a low priority to this office staff and this establishment. I hope their CEO reads these reviews and contacts me. read more

Front desk check-in is not welcoming and friendly. When I tried to answer the check-in questions on the tablet they gave me, some of my answers weren't being accepted, so there is a glitch, which caused a longer wait time. The woman waiting behind me said she had the same issue. I waited for almost an hour, then finally left. Anything over 15 - 20 minutes is too long to wait. When I first arrived, there were two other people in the waiting room. By the time I left, there were eight. I am immunocompromised and don't need or want to be sitting with that many strangers for any extended period of time. I have used University Radiology for years before, and prior to recently, their wait times were only about 15 minutes, and their front desk help was friendlier. I don't know what's changed or why, but it's not for the better. I will be switching my imaging to another imaging entity. I'm not going back. read more

Not ready to give information to patient. Threated to hang up phone on me when I tried to explain situation. Radiology is asking to ask for expediated report after passing 2 days. read more

I will never come back to this location again. I went there for an HSG and the "doctor" looked a mess, couldn't actually complete the job AND left a tool INSIDE OF ME. The nurse said "ok ma'am you can sit up". When I went to sit up I was like "ummmm wowwww there's something still in me." So the nurse had to go get the dr. And he waltzed back in the and acted as if I was a nuisance. Good times! Never again. read more

Awful bedside manner of echocardiogram technician. She was foul tempered and clearly incompetent.

There are 2 out of the 3 women at the front desk who are rude, ill-mannered, and impatient. I understand a bad day but it's been every visit. People come here for care, a little bit of hospitality is all I ask. I just heard one woman working here tell another staff member that a patient is a pain in the a**. After speaking with the patient, she ranted and high fived another staff member. What is this? A highschool cafeteria. These members of the staff of this care providing facility obviously do not understand that their career involves dealing with humans. They are speaking to people who could be scared and people who are unfamiliar with their diagnosis. Very unprofessional. It's sad and sickening. read more

University Radiology of Edison is a terrible facility with constant errors, disorganization and poor appointment availability. I had surgery recently and it was imperative that I had two different follow up tests done to see if the surgery was successful. I made my appointments a week in advance. When I arrived on the day of the two tests, there was no record of my having scheduled the most important of the two tests and there was a 2+ hour wait for an x-ray. What the hell? I had my scripts and had scheduled both on the phone. I ended up rescheduling both tests 5 days later because this is all that they had available. A snow storm takes place and my appointments are cancelled. Not only did University Radiology in Edison have NOTHING for me for another week in either Edison or Metuchen, but they clearly cannot accommodate emergency situations and refuse to accept responsibility for their mistakes. My doctor is furious! I managed to get an appointment for BOTH tests to be done at another facility that is a bit of a drive away. But, this wonderful facility got me in within two days for BOTH tests. It is shameful that people like me are stuck with poor service like University Radiology because of our insurance plans. read more

It is such a pleasure (considering I'm there about a medical problem) to deal with University Radiology. FULL SERVICE. Whatever kind of diagnostic imaging you need: X-ray, CT scan, MRI, PET scan, Ultrasound, they do it. EXPERT TECHNICIANS. The technicians are polite, they don't waste any time, and they explain what they are doing as they go. Which really reduces the stress of being there. More importantly, they are experts. Every technician I've met has many years experience doing their jobs. EASY SCHEDULING. It is So easy to make an appointment to suit your schedule. You can do it online, or you can call their 800 number. Unlike many other businesses, the call takers are very helpful. They have a lot of locations so you get a good range of available time slots. And for X-rays, you don't even need an appointment! Just walk in with your prescription. They're better than most at managing their calendar, I've rarely had to wait longer than 25 minutes. Not great, but better than most. GREAT STAFF. The office staff are very pleasant, and very willing to go the extra step, or the extra two steps, to help you. (One exception: the desk manager at the New Brunswick office -- the first person you see! -- is crabby. First appointment of the day, last appointment of the day, every time I've been there she seems like I'm putting her out by coming. I did see her smile once, but I think she had to drop a 10 spot into the curse jar.) The front desk staff at the Edison office, in particular, are So friendly and service-oriented. Big bonus: depending on the kind of study, they will give it to you on a cd. Your doctor still gets the full report, but it's nice to have your own copy in case things go wrong. You'll wait just 15 minutes or so to get it. One other atypical experience: I reported a problem (even the best hit a bump in the road once in a while) and it took until the next day for an Administrator to call me. With my background in healthcare administration, I was shocked that the words "Patient Safety" did not get a faster response. (It turned out that it was not in fact a patient safety problem. However, based on the information I had at the time, it absolutely was a situation that warranted a more urgent response than what it got.) I was Not One Bit impressed with the response of the manager then on duty (the crabby lady), and I was Not One Bit impressed with the response of the administrator who phoned me the next day. When someone brings you a problem such as this one, you should treat it as an opportunity to improve, not a situation where you need to be defensive and dismissive. But in all fairness I have to say that this was by far an exception to the excellent performance I have always seen there. Attention Management: Tighten up wait times and you'll go from Star to Superstar. Attention Yelp Shoppers: use University Radiology, they are great. read more

Look going for a vaginal ultrasound isn't fun, but the technician, Ashley, made it much easier to get through. From the moment I walked in the room, during the ultrasound, and after, she was engaged and tried her best to calm my nerves. And it worked!!! I relaxed and felt no discomfort at all, likely because we were having such a pleasant conversation. She rocked! read more

They demand you pay your deductible before your test and they don't want to hear it when you explain that's not how your insurance works. Had to agree to pay something or couldn't get my test that took a month to schedule. Fast forward 3 months later, check in the mail from them for what I had to pay. Not sure what kind of game they are playing over there, but their accounting department and front desk leaves a lot to be desired. The technicians and radiologist, however, were wonderful. read more

I have been coming to this place the past 2 weeks for several scans and tests and always had to wait for 30 mins or so even when i got there early. Today i have a 8am appointment but got there at 8.10 due traffic 10 mins late and guess what they couldn't take me due to the fact "we have to register you 15 mins before appointment". The sign says they opens at 8 and u want me to get here at 7.45 ? instead putting me to the next available appointment which is 10.45. They said they would take me if the 9.45 didn't show up. I have been waiting since 8.10 and it's almost 11 now. This place is a joke. The front desk people couldn't be more useless. They should be more flexible. It's ok to have us waited hours but not with them. Save yourself a trip and go somewhere else. read more

Went in for a Mamogram on May 1st. My primary doctors office did not fax the prescription over for my appointment as promised when I went into their office on Monday twice. I had also called their office prior to my appointment to make sure the prescription was faxed as promised getting voice mail, I left a message. When I arrived for my appointment at University Radiology I was shocked but not surprised that they did not have the script. The girl at the front desk was so very helpful and tried calling on my behalf. The correct prescription was finally faxed after calls from me, the girl at the front desk and Sue the technician and it was now 12:00 and my appointment was at 11:00. Sue the technician said they would try to squeeze me in which they did. I believe Sue took me during her lunch break which I was so grateful for. The girl at the front desk and Sue the technician went above and beyond to accommodate me. People are so quickly to complain but never give praise when it is due. I believe in also recognizing people who are very good at their jobs and also kind! Thank you ladies! I highly recommend University Radiology read more
