Went for an earlobe repair surgery, and…read moreon the day I arrived for the consultation there was a discrepancy in the price that I was given over the phone versus what I was told in person. The staff at the front desk seemed to have no idea what was going on. Once Dr. Long arrived for the consult, he was super awkward and in my opinion he had less than sub par bedside manor. I will say that he did a good job with the actual procedure. But when I arrived to have my ear repierced I encountered another episode of a poor expierence at this practice when the doctors assistant asked for the earring I would like them to use. No one informed me that I was to bring an earring. Dr Long came in and told me "we assume people know to bring their own earring". He then said "I just want to confirm the piercing was not included in the price of the repair". I told him that the front desk told me it was included. Long story short the front desk has not a clue what is going on and neither does Dr. long. I was unhappy with my treatment, especially since this procedure was paid for out of pocket since insurance does not cover it.

She took out a lice comb ( she has young children), ran it once thru my hair, and said, "Mom, you're crawling with lice! And you probably caught it from my kids last time you were here," she apologized. I wouldn't trust Dr. Krant to recognize skin cancer if she can't recognize lice, and is too stubborn to take a second look.

I stopped going for two reasons: 1) She treats her patients as though they were an assembly line. Popping in and out of each room with barely time for any conversation. 2) Dr Day was unavailable so I went to her PA, reluctantly. The PA got it completely wrong and I needed a redo. I called the office 4 weeks later (I waited to see if what the PA had done would settle in) and her staff told me I would be charged full price to fix what her assistant had done. 30 years her patient and I was treated like dirt. I asked to speak with her directly and her staff said they were communicating with her. I didn't believe them. My primary care doctor who initially recommended her will no longer send patients to her. While technically she is very gifted, she has lost sight of her focus on her patients.

From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. Nyaisha Ruiz, the medical assistant, was absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain everything to me in detail, including what to expect before, during, and after the procedure. Her calm and reassuring demeanor really helped ease my nerves. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made me feel like I was in very good hands. Dr. Bernstein was equally wonderful. The procedure itself was so smooth and quick that I almost forgot I was even getting a biopsy. The only thing I really felt was the small pinch from the lidocaine, and after that it was completely painless. The whole thing lasted about five minutes, and I was honestly surprised at how easy it was. The level of professionalism, care, and compassion from both Nyaisha and Dr. Bernstein made what could have been a very stressful experience feel completely manageable. Scheduling the appt for her wasn't difficult and the check in process was quick. My mom was in and out in about 45 mins and took the van to the MTA bus. There are restrooms nearby and it's close to the entrance. Def recommend coming with an appt and if u come with a car, come with time to park
