I was referred to take her to Panton eye center so I made an appointment. Her first visit I was told that my mother was in a lot of pain and needed to be put into the hospital to have surgery. A few days after the surgery, first thing my mother said was 'my eyes don't hurt and I can see.' It was such a excellent experience for my mom that I won't go anywhere else because these Doctors are the best. I love the fact that when I call for an appointment, the staff is very effiencent in making sure I had all the information in advance of what they needed and of course checked to make sure my insurance would cover there services before I schedule an appointment. I decided to write this because I want someone who is seriously looking for a great Doctor to know you have found one. I have another appointment tomorrow and was looking up the address and couldn't believe some of these reviews. They have nothing to do with how good the Doctors are which surprises me that they are considered reviews. I can't believe anyone would think that they can walk into a doctors offfice and think that the Doctor that is waiting for his first client, that has an appointment, would see them on the spot. It takes more than 15 minutes to see the Doctor. Then the patient that has an appointment will have to wait and so on. Thats why its called an appointment. However, my experience with the staff, particularly Collette, was disappointing. After my exam, I worked with Collette to try on frames for my low prescription. I found a pair I liked but decided to hold off until I felt better and could return with a second opinion. Collette made a subtle remark under her breath about hoping the frames would still be there, which struck me as unnecessary. Two days later, she called to ask if I was coming back for the frames. When I explained that I was still deciding and had requested a copy of my prescription, her tone noticeably shifted. She sounded curt and dismissive, and told me getting my prescription wasn't her department, even though the front desk is only steps away. When I later called back for an update, she answered again and was just as dismissive. I didn't feel confident my request would be followed through, and asked to speak with someone else. Her response made it clear that helping me was a burden. Ultimately, I had to make a third contact and visit the office in person to get my prescription. Even then, it wasn't signed by the doctor, and no one, including Collette, acknowledged the confusion or offered an apology.
