First - they deleted by Google review :) I came in as a new patient based on the positive reviews and had a great experience with the doctor, he was prompt, kind, and informative. However, my experience with the staff, particularly Collette, was disappointing. After my exam, I worked with Collette to try on frames for my low prescription. I found a pair I liked but decided to hold off until I felt better and could return with a second opinion. Collette made a subtle remark under her breath about hoping the frames would still be there, which struck me as unnecessary. Two days later, she called to ask if I was coming back for the frames. When I explained that I was still deciding and had requested a copy of my prescription, her tone noticeably shifted. She sounded curt and dismissive, and told me getting my prescription wasn't her department, even though the front desk is only steps away. When I later called back for an update, she answered again and was just as dismissive. I didn't feel confident my request would be followed through, and asked to speak with someone else. Her response made it clear that helping me was a burden. Ultimately, I had to make a third contact and visit the office in person to get my prescription. Even then, it wasn't signed by the doctor, and no one, including Collette, acknowledged the confusion or offered an apology. I've worked in customer service and wouldn't speak to any customer the way I was spoken to. I expected more from an office with such strong reviews and designer branding. Call me vain . . . .call me in denial . . . .but this girl, who never needed glasses in her life finally succumbed to the pull of age and realized I just wasn't seeing things the way I used to. Ha! Could it be that my arms got shorter and I just couldn't move the page to be in focus? Or was the squint lines that were getting deeper in my forehead trying to make things sharp again? Well whatever the reason- I found myself in Dr. Francescini's office thinking I was going to immediately look 10 years older with a pair of spectacles perched on my nose . . .or even worse, hanging around my neck! Dr. Francescini was great! He took the time to listen to my issues, did a full eye exam and then suggested a solution that, while I was skeptical at first, solved my reading glass issue with nary a glass case to be found. Monovision! What? You don't know about this amazing solution? Well ladies (it works for men too but I think we may be more vain about glasses!) if you ever need "readers", this is the only way to go. You are fitted for a contact for one eye that reads. The other eye sees distance . . .and here's the beauty of it all, your brain figures it out in about 2.2 seconds! I felt sure that this was a headache waiting to happen but it never did and I see perfectly again and no one's the wiser. No more trying to find reading glasses for this old girl! The office runs on time and the staff is really nice. It's a bit hard to find as it is in the professional building located at Oak Brook Mall. If you go- there is a parking garage located between Nordstrom and the old Bloomie's that makes it really convenient. While readers may not be your issue, I'm sure whatever your eye care needs are, Dr. Francesini and his crack team will take excellent care of you. Got my new contacts and glasses here a few months ago. Meant to write a review sooner, but, anyhow---- Very, very pleased. One very good eye doctor, very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. And a staff who were most helpful and courteous, as well. They were great at fair pricing utilizing my insurance benefits to give me the most "bang for my buck", too. The only minor flaw was they never sent my prescription by email as requested, but I'll overlook it. I found them by researching Yelp reviews after having had some less than optimal optical experiences in the past, and I was not disappointed! So let me just say I compare all eye doctors to the doctor I had to leave behind when I moved away from Indianapolis. I was looking for a practice that uses advanced technology (has optomap retinal scanning) and a good selection of frames, and isn't run by old people afraid of technology. Enter Dr. Franceschini's practice. I was so glad I found them. Easy to book an appointment as a new patient back when I found this office in 2016. I was super pregnant at the time so wanted to get my new glasses before the baby was due, and his folks were great about working with the lab to get them done and to me before baby got here. When I came in for this year's eye exam, I was pleasantly (read: extremely) suprised and happy to see that the office had moved to an electronic lens system for the eye exam. Meaning, Dr. Franceschini switches between "1" and "2" with a cool remote-like thing. It means he's less in your face (not that it was an issue) and you can compare the exam letters more easily. I love the embracing of technology. Moving along to Dr. Franceschini's staff - they are a friendly, amazing, helpful group. Gina is my technician and she's been great in helping me find frames, order frames, debate frames...I seriously think she's amazing. She also helped me with my contact fittings this year. In an era where customer service seems to be dead, Dr. Franceschini's office and Oakbrook Optical seriously take great care of their patients/customers. I can't imagine going anywhere else to have my eyes taken care of. Seriously - great service, advanced eyecare technology, great people. That's my takehome message. After my eye doctor of 20 years closed her practice, I needed to find a new doctor for glasses and contacts. Because I work in Oak Brook I decided to find a practice near my office--Wow! Did I get lucky finding Oakbrook Optical Eyecare and Dr Franceschini and his staff? YES I did. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The office is clean and modern and he does have the latest technology. If you need designer glass frames--they have an amazing selection and alot of them. Dr Franeschini was extremely meticulous in making sure I had the proper fit for my contacts...and I very much appreciated the time he spent to make sure I had the best result possible. read more

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Franceschini for over 20 years. I have always felt in good hands with him because he specializes in eye disease and he always has the latest technology. Besides being experienced, knowledgable and professional, he is personable and friendly. I always recommend him to everyone I know. His staff is also attentive and helpful. My son just got contacts for the first time and was having such a hard time trying to get them in by himself. He was ready to give up, but his staff was willing to work with him for as long as it took ( which was over an hour). An extra plus is that his office has moved from inside the professional building at Oakbrook Center Mall to across the street on rt. 83 so parking is so much more convenient. read more

Customer service poor as I waited 15 minutes with only one other in the store on a weekday afternoon. Upsold 3 pairs of glasses at over $3000. Poor attitude during the process. Not recommending this to someone who wants a good experience with selecting a nice pair of eyeglasses. read more

I had a terrible experience at this facility with my daughter. The optometrist originally acted knowledgeable about my daughters condition and established a plan of care. However after multiple visits and treatments when it came time to follow through with the original plan, he decided to review me to a specialist. It seems as though that should have been done much sooner than when he did. My daughter hates going to any doctor and had to experience this multiple times over multiple weeks without resolution of her condition. Additionally, both my husband and I had to miss work in order to make these appointments. Will NEVER go here again. read more

Dr. Franceschini is always very attentive, I am always seen on time, and the Dr. keeps me informed of what he is checking for and any possible issues we need to keep an "eye" on.
