It is so refreshing and always a must order for me. They are always generous with their sauces, which I really appreciate about this place, coming from a sauce lover. For takeout orders, they always carefully wrap the plates and sauces to prevent any spills. I really appreciate the extra attention to detail. Orange juice: I love me a cup of freshly squeezed oj and not many places have them (typically it it tastes like bottled oj). BUT!!!! this oj as 100% freshly squeezed and it was soooo good. If you like freshly squeezed oj and crave that natural sweetness, this is a must. Spam musubi: very flavorful! On top of that, another group of two that came in after us was able to get their orders and finish before the pancakes came out....which kinda made me feel like were forgotten, especially because no one came to update me. It was also kinda difficult to wave someone down since no one really walked by us. When we were ready to pay, we waited like ten minutes for the check to come out. Only after locking eyes with one of the servers did they finally come to tell us that they were working on the check and was running into issues. Again, another instance in which early communication would've been appreciated vs letting us just sit there and wonder what was going on. Service was never their strength, but we glanced over it since it's the only descent shabu shabu restaurant on the area. Over the past few months, service has gotten exponentially worse with each visit. Our final straw was being seated and left unacknowledged for 10 minutes. No drink orders, no "we'll be right with you", nothing... This would've been the point of walking out, but my kids were saying they were hungry and going to another restaurant at that point would've been too late for their bedtime. I ended up walking up to a server who was about to help another table that was seated after us and said we'd like to order as no one's helped us. After finishing what he was doing, he walked up to our table with an ordering tablet and didn't say a word, just stood there staring at us. He took our order, got it wrong a few times, then FINALLY got our food. Not one server checked in on us the whole meal. Not one server offered the check. Just constant flagging down servers for everything. As I mentioned before, I reached out to management via email to try and bring this up on a professional level, but my multiple emails were left unanswered.
