Meagan has been an exceptional trainer for our puppy. Her classes are absolutely worth it, and you get so much value for what you pay, especially compared to other training options we looked into. What really stands out is how she focuses on foundational behavior. She's helping us teach our dog things like how to heel, make eye contact, and wait for our direction. We've also been working on commands like "leave it," which has already helped stop our pup from picking up random things off the ground. These are the kinds of habits you might not think about at first, but they've made a big difference for us. I definitely recommend her! read more

This store is and has always been a cozy little place where you find everything you need for your pets! I have been coming here for years and years and I have interacted with most of the young and helpful employees at this location. The employees: Towery, Eddie, Manny, Megan and Franco are all helpful and always ready to answer any questions. I love that is close to the house and in the shopping center close to other great stores like Amazon Fresh, the Vitamin Store, and other key stores. I took my German Shepherd here to get basic obedience training provided by Megan (she is great by the way!) and the sessions helped my dog to become an excellent walking companion. I highly recommend this place. As you enter the store, everybody greets you. It is nice to come to a place where people are happy to see you and ready to help you. Located right by Amazon Fresh, it's in a convenient location if you're running errands. You can shop for groceries at Amazon, pick up your dog's food at Unleashed, pick up your kid(s) from Millikan, and get lunch at Flippin' Pizza, and so on. Personally, I prefer getting my dogs' food at Unleashed over it's bigger counterparts (Petco). I like ordering online and picking up in store, and the bigger stores usually take really long to fulfill my orders. However, Unleashed always gets my orders ready for pickup within half an hour or quicker. Most of the time, it's quicker. The employees are really nice and helpful, and are quick to see if you need anything. Advantages of a smaller store I suppose! ‍ read more

This is the second problem I have had with Petco coupons at this Unleashed store. I am a Petco Pals Reward member....have been a loyal customer for years. I don't know what has happened to Petco/Unleashed over the last couple of years, but something big has changed. The customer service is awful and they do not seem to care at all about their customers. I went into the store today because I received an email from Petco with the attached coupon to purchase my cat some Weruva cat food. I specifically drove to the store (gas is not cheap) because of this coupon. I thought with 25% off, I could stock up on the Weruva cat food that my cat loves. The coupon states "25% OFF entire stock of B.F.F., Cats in the Kitchen, Soulistic and Weruva cat food." I proceeded to purchase about $60 worth of Weruva canned food and the cashier said, "you saved $2.10." I stated that was not 25% off and she said that it does not apply to all Weruva cat food. WHAT? It says ENTIRE STOCK of Weruva cat food on the coupon...NOPE...she was not having it and continued to argue with me in front of other customers. I showed her what the coupon said, but it was not going to happen. She sent me away with a, "have a nice day." Yeah... Basically, Petco corporate sends out these coupons (which I guess are mainly marketing ploys to get you into the store to buy stuff), and then the store won't redeem the coupon (or puts their own limitations on it and tries to fool you). Horrible. Why on earth would they do this? I have been a lifelong Petco customer, but today I am done. I will never step foot in or spend another dime in any Petco/Unleashed stores or online. Petco/Unleashed has lost a good customer today - I guess just to see if they could get away with not really giving me 25% off. Horrible and shame on you! read more

As one employee said, it's like trader joe's for pets! And she couldn't be more right! It has a nice homey feel and actually smells good (you know that smell). Huge variety for both cats & dogs - including raw feed, which i was able to inspect up close instead of just online. Everyone working was veryyyy friendly and there's lots of parking. Of course, it is pricey, and we only bought 2 pb-stuffed bones. But, it's fun to treat your pets and to be informed of all the options! Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen was in need of some new puppy accouterments. It seems puppies chew through everything, including their own leash! This was the place for us. While leaving town for home after the holiday celebrations, we made a stop here to pick up a leash, treats, and toys. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. They are well stocked. I really like this location. They have the Acana dog food I need for my pup so it's easy. I'm debating on doing rotation feeding and they have all the flavors I was interested in purchasing. It's smaller than some other locations, but they have a lot of items available that you may need. The staff is nice and was very helpful when I accidentally left my debit card. read more

It's a much smaller store focused more on cats and dogs than the many other animals Petco caters to. They have a smaller selection of everything they sell, but it's convenient and easy to get in and out of, compared to shopping at a large Petco store. Think of it as a Petco boutique. Lots of parking, located in Albertsons shopping center so you can get your food and your furry kid food all at the same time! I'm a fan of the convenience! read more

Our puppy Archer took puppy classes at Unleashed with Bria. She was a wonderfully patient instructor, and the progress we made over 4 weeks was amazing. The first time we went in there Archer barked at everything and couldn't do any commands with consistency. Today he graduated from puppy class knowing how to sit, lie down, stay, and leave it. He is a more confident puppy, and much more at ease in public places. A huge part of the class is training us - the humans- and Bria was friendly and a great communicator! I took my puppy here for basic training. Bria and all the store staff were all very welcoming and helpful. As a new puppy owner I always had a ton of questions not just regarding training but but food, grooming, etc. (pretty much everything lol). No matter what my questions or concerns were I was always able to get assistance from someone. Training sessions were also tailored in a way to assist not only me but my teenage son. My son has autism and Bria was always very patient with him and encouraged him to participate in sessions. Nice neighborhood store to pop in and pick up odds and ends that your pet might need. The store is located off of South Street in a nice strip mall. The strip mall offers ample parking and is surrounded by a few other stores which adds to the convenience of shopping here! The Unleashed store itself is an upscale...yet smaller version of Petco. Oh, I get it. It's the whole chain-that-looks-like-a-boutique thing. I see what you're doing there. It makes me feel a bit uneasy. But, I've gotta say, it's not too bad. Like I said they're going more for a boutique vibe, and they really focus on natural/holistic type stuff. Not to say they don't have some Purina, but they have lots of the fancier brands that are protien-only, or include veggies or are good for allergies. They also have a good selection of toys and treats and such. All in all, not a bad store, and definitely will do the trick if I'm in the neighborhood, but as far as prices and customer service goes, I still prefer Centinela for all my schmancy pet goods. read more

My initial reaction to this store was negative: yet another big corporation looking to re-brand themselves as a 'neighborhood-store'. Sorry Petco but you're not fooling anyone. At the end of the day you offer lots of low-paying jobs with no health benefits while funneling your profits back into the pockets of you senior management and shareholders. I was curious to see the concept so I came in to shop and as expected I did see lots of high-end foods such as organic, human-grade and even raw(?) but was helped by unqualified high school age kids who know next to nothing about animal nutrition. The service was robotic and didn't remind me at all of the personal touch I get at the other boutiques they're trying so hard to emulate. read more

Had a truly wonderful experience at this store! We had a private training consultation with Bria for our five-month-old Pomsky and we're so impressed with Bria we got a four-lesson package with the option for more if needed. She had our puppy responding to commands within the first lesson. The whole store has a very welcoming atmosphere. Overall I rate the experience as top-notch. The staff was helpful to me, but I didn't really understand how everything was SO expensive... when you could get relatively the same thing for less at other stores. "boutique"?...maybe. I just know they carry the brand of canned dog food topping that my dog likes. He has major allergies and can only tolerate a few whole food ingredients. No fillers, grains, starches. I work in LB and this is very conveniently located for me. I don't feel like I'm being "tricked" by Petco. You see what they have, you see what it costs. I read the other reviews, and I laughed at the comparison to Whole Foods for dogs. Perhaps, but the staff is wonderful, they know the products, and this store is open later than any other pet store in the area (just in case you run out of Fido's favorite and need to pick up something after work). Also, Unleashed stores are much smaller than the standard Petco, which makes it easier to grab what you need and check out within needing to walk for miles. My only complaint is that they only carry one or two brands of bird seed, and their aviary selections are a small display. However, the selection of food for dogs and cats is quite extensive. Not inexpensive, but I appreciate the extended selection of Merrick and Natural Balance choices. Also, they have a vast display of dog toys. Again, they are not giving anything away, but their sale items are always a great deal, and having a Petco card helps take dollars off of the bottom line. The employees are terrific about volunteering to carry large bags of dry dog food out for me and putting it in my car: I don't even have to ask. On weekends, there is usually at least one adoption group with dogs or cats that are looking for homes. Just a note: I had a very bad experience (which wasn't their fault) with a pet photographer that used their store. I not only had to wait 90 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, but it took almost 6 months for me to get my photos. (I did get a letter of apology from Petco for the delay and notice that they would not book that photographer again in the future.) As a result, I am wary about using the services of any outside vendor without checking them out in advance. read more

Employees are incredibly rude. I asked to find an item (something I have been buying for my dog for years). The woman proceeded to tell me how I shouldn't feed it to my dog. I came here to buy dog food. I go to the vet for medical opinions about my dog. I hope someone from the corporate office comes to correct the employees behavior. read more

I came into the store about 10:25 am on Tuesday, 2-1-22. There was no one present in the store at that time to my knowledge. My shopping took me all the way to the back of the store. I understand running lean these days but there should always be two people working at a store at any given time. I waited about five minutes at the front counter when Mercedes came to help me. After I inputted my phone number, I asked if I could apply any accumulated reward discounts from previous purchases. She told me "no" but said that if I had the "reward app", I could get discounts on this purchase. I said I did not have the "reward app" but why would I need the "reward app" if I am already signed up for rewards with my phone number. She said that "is just the way it is." I said, "I guess that is just age-ism." You should have seen the look on her face. Ism's come in many forms regardless of race, color, ethnicity, or AGE. Train your young employees to respect their older clientele. The ones with money your business depends on. read more

I love how this place is located right next to Grounds ! :D . I love buying things for King Louie rather than myself! So after we had breakfast we took him out the car and immediately he knew he had struck gold! This place is much smaller than most Petco's but they have different things you wouldn't find at a regular Petco! It was a cat adoption when we arrived and the staff was friendly! I found what I was looking for and more! They have better dog tags than other Petco's which is a bonus! I'm so happy I finally got to try it out! It's not very often I'm in the LBC! ^_^ read more

I called the store prior to going to confirm if they will price match via the internet. I was told "sure no problem, as long as you bring in the print out of the site indicating the amount." So that is what I did. When the store clerk rang up the items I wanted to purchase he asked his manager to override the total. Manager said to me "we don't price match from the internet." She wasnt very pleasant either but that's besides the point....Unleashed needs to have their staff educated on their policies and procedures. Especially those who answer the phone. Went to get flea repellant for my cats. Bought some crap without asking for help. It didn't really work. I considered it a loss. Went back to get some flea shampoo. This time I asked for some help. The girl who helped me knew exactly which shampoo was best. If I didn't like the shampoo I could bring it back for a refund. She also said that I could've done that for the repellant. Didn't need to for the shampoo. The shampoo kills the fleas on the spot. Gone back a few times after that and every time they were really helpful. read more
