I've consistently had bad experiences at this location. Every time I've visited, the same young woman is working the counter, and she shows zero customer service. She never greets customers when they walk in, doesn't seem to know basic info about the products or ingredients, and responds to questions with visible apathy--often with a smirk, like she'd rather be anywhere else. It's really disappointing because I genuinely like Just Food for Dogs products. But in a market full of great alternatives, customer service matters. This place has been feeding my Italian greyhounds for a couple years now. My two iggys are notorious for stomach issues and my littlest blue one has skin issues. This location is attached to their vet office and was recommended. I love the workers In here, they absolutely truly care about your pets. I'm signed up for their reward program, so I just popped in to get a few treats with my points. I plan on giving some to my neighbors new boxer puppy and my other neighbors pit Bull. I frequent JustFoodForDogs because Lluvia and I frequent Primary Care Animal Hospital next door. Though we have not tried their meals, it is apparent that they take pride in their wholesome ingredients of various meats, fruit and vegetables. Lluvia loves their beef liver bark, pumpkin treats and meat ice cream. :) They were very nice to allow me to make a couple purchases right as they were closing. It was New Year's Eve and I really needed to get the Calm Potent Anxiety Support supplement so Lluvia didn't freak out from the fireworks. For how expensive it is, the pouch cat food has the texture of rehydrated Meal Ready to Eat (MRE). I tried some on my cats w/ gingivostomatitis. I had boiled a chicken and added warm juice/ broth with fat oil to make it more inviting after they turned away. Nope twice. I had been asked for my contact information during the purchase transaction so Just Food for Dogs could create an account. I only know that information to be used for marketing purposes so I declined. Apparently its Just Food for Dogs' policy to tie returns to an established account. No account, no return. I was *told* that information is not used for marketing purposes, but there's no user-side written information upon transaction to clarify how customer data is actually used and/ or what it's not used for. It's shady that this company essentially forces an opt-in to its data handeling policies on condition of accepting a return. They didn't make it that difficult when accepting my money. read more

After receiving it, I immediately went to this store to buy three bags. My Vet is next door. I told them I'll give it a try and hopefully little Archie will like it. Well, he did and as a matter of fact, I think he loves it! So I brought Archie with me tonight to share the good news! He's a cute little senior with an adorable personality. I was disappointed to find out they were out of his special prescription. Granted, I was in a quandary at first, but I appreciated the immediate follow up by Jasmine. She called me to assure me Archie will have his food and it will be delivered by tomorrow. Best food for dogs hand down. All three of my dogs have improved dramatically. I have two Westies and they suffer from allergies but since we made the move this food it's been amazing. The thrift is a terrier too doesn't have issues with skin but when we rescued him he only wanted human food and he would eat all his food unless we added table scraps and that made him gain some lbs. we knew this wasn't healthy for them. So switched and they love and we know they are eating healthy and they love it. They all lost some lbs and they are healthier now. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and courteous the staff was here. Helpful, and freindly from the momen you walk in the door. Nobody tryied to upsell me once they knew what i was looking for. I came here for snacks and food toppers. The puppy I help look after is a bit picky and really loves the Salmon bark and beef from here. You can complain that it's overpriced. Comparatively to a grocery store, yes it absolutely is. I will not argue about quality differences betwen the two, because I really don't care. I know my dogga likes it, so I will pay for it. $12 for 5oz's of salmon bark may seems like a lot but ut lasts me a ltte over 4 months. What i have trouble understanding is how much different my experience at the Newport/Mesa store was. We have been using Just Food for Dogs for many years probably at least 5 years now. We have to use the Hepatic Support but for our 4 lb. Maltese due to Pancreatitis. I actually know all the ingredients in this food and know my dog is getting high quality meat not meat that has been picked up off the floor at the meat factory. I love this store. The staff is always nice and helpful. My dog is very picky when it comes to his food the little bugger. He only likes the turkey and macaroni and the chicken breast treats. He goes nuts for the chicken breast treats. Everything else he will take a sniff and walk away from his bowl. This food is so much healthier for him instead of feeding your dog those 99 cents cans of dog food filled with garbage that my dog won't even go near. Duke will only eat Just Food For Dogs food. He loves the Chicken & Rice. I purchased it made and I also have made it. It is easy and fun to make. The vet says Duke is very healthy and loves what we are feeding him. I took Duke to get a bath and hair cut last week and he was very anxious and not able to Finish his hair cut. I was telling Kevin and Kathy about it and the recommended "Calm" for Duke. He had another appointment today to try again so I gave him "Calm" this morning and took him in at 3pm. This is what I feed my spoiled rotten mutt. I discovered this place while feeding my other dog kids(I pet sit.) My pup has had dermatitis for as long as I've had him and I was told when I got there that it was most likely the chicken meal. So, I said why not, it's worth a try to switch food; tried everything else. Well it worked his skin is great, his coat is shiny and loved eating his meals. My dog doesn't like anything! I mix it in with with duck and potatoes dry meal. I mean this guy eats better than me! His favor JFFD recipe is turkey and macaroni. If you have a picky dog this is where to go, or is a bit pricey though. Which is why one star is missing from the review, but well worth the expense if you want a happy healthy pup. read more

I told the peole that I have 2 English Bulldogs, one who has severe environmental allergies and that I was interested in knowing more about the food. The gal asked me what I was currently paying for food and I told her $100 per month. She told me that their food was comparable in price; she gave me a card for a free bag of food and told me to visit her at the Long Beach location. My husband and I stopped by the store on 11/3 excited to finally find a food that would help our Bully. Much to our surprise we were totally provided misinformation on the cost of the food. The food is not affordable. To feed both dogs we were quoted $960 a month. For dog food????? To feed just the Bully with the allergies I was quoted $150 for half a month. This trip was a total waste of time. People who represent produvct liksd this at special functions should be honest when promoting their product. read more
