She can be a bit wary of new people and new environments at first, but the team was patient and thoughtful, and she eventually found her groove and even made a few friends (huge win ). From the very first inquiry to check-in and check-out, the front desk team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and reassuring. You can tell they genuinely care about both the dogs and their humans, which makes a big difference--especially when you're bringing in a pup who needs a little extra time to warm up. I'll absolutely be bringing my pup back for continued socialization and support with learning how to play respectfully with other dogs. My dogs love Ufuria and so do I. Over the past five years I have lived in four states because I was somewhat lost after my husband's passing. My babies have been my companions and have brought me lots of comfort, so I'm very careful about where I place them. UFURIA is among the very best. They have a very fine staff of Friendly people who really care about animals. I have two pets and both have digestion issues. My. Three-quarter bulldog has IBS and is a " bull in a China shop". Love taking my fur baby here for daycare! My dog has had limited interaction with other dogs before coming, so it was really nice that Ufuria does an evaluation for first timers to see how they do meeting other dogs. Whenever we drop him off he gets so excited when he sees his friends! He's able to get his energy out and comes home tired! Everyone is so nice here! I also really like that their location and hours are so convenient for drop off and pick up. My dogs are my world and boarding them is hard as it gets for me. I was so worried before my long vacation an ocean apart from them. However, that all changed once my vacation started and Ufuria kept giving me updates every single time I called. My dogs came out of the boarding area happy relaxed, and completely smelling of blueberry, or some other great grooming shampoo... the staff answered all of my questions before and during the boarding process, and the overall price was beyond affordable compared to everywhere else. I was set for an evaluation today and forwarded all the info necessary and in the body of the email, I informed them that I would be running late, after 1pm, due to a last minute meeting. I arrived at 2pm to a condescending, unfriendly lady who informed me that the assessments only start at 1pm sharp. I informed her, ok but I emailed back earlier with the application and shot documents stating I wouldn't be arriving on time and that no one had communicated back that that would be an issue. In fact, no one replied at all, so assuming that all is well. In fact, all is not well, and this place is apparently treated like a military camp. She then huffs and puffs walking back there and asks whoever if they could still do the evaluation. She returns back and explains the process stating that they bring dogs back while all the others are out to lunch/naptime. Ok, understood. But then when I proceeded to explain and speak on my confusion, which she then proceeds to continually cut me off and keeps speaking over me. I allowed you to speak, yet when I start to speak, you refuse to hear me and continually speak and yell over me. Very asinine of you. YOU ARE FRONT OF THE HOUSE AND THE 1ST INTERACTION TO CUSTOMERS. How can you normalize such miserable behavior and lack so much communication skills? Business is business and at the end of the day, it's the dog parents that choose to bring their dogs here. If you're looking to only speak to respond vs listening to respond then good luck. Also, you belittling me that I should have called instead of emailed is ridiculous. What you're letting me know is that you don't check emails to verify that shots are up to date and the application was complete prior to arrival. And guess what, most ppl do actually work during the middle of the day and are on work calls, so emails are another form of communication. So SO many things wrong with the OWNER of this place along with the communication! To begin, I have two dogs. My boyfriend and I were planning on a trip out of town &let me just tell you the amount of my dogs stay was more than the hotel that we paid for in Seattle. Now, when I learned about the pricing of the boarding it had been explained to me that the rooms were $47. NOT ONCE did they say it was per dog... they said per ROOM. It was never clearly stated how much we would be spending when booking OR dropping them off... only when picking them up. My bf even asked how much the total would be during drop off and was told not to worry about it, they'll let us know during pick up (first red flag). Let me tell you when I found out that the total hotel stay was $700?!?! I was aghast. (we paid ~$500 for the hotel in Seattle)... The staff was nice enough to work with my bf about the price during pick up and we paid half, they said the owner would give my bf a call within the next few days to discuss the other $350 that was due. Okay, so I work customer service.... I work with a cable company for internet repair. So when the owner gave my boyfriend a call, not once was she empathetic to our situation. She had the audacity to blame us for the misunderstanding (for all I know it honestly could have been our fault..... but we were willing to work with her on the total amount) IF she tried to work with us ... there could've been just a $100 diff that wasnt paid. She refused to show ownership of what could have been her staffs mistake. Lets just say shes a typical BOOMER &didnt want to work with us on the pricing. Okay this will be kind of long but bear with me haha! Context: My little monster, Roxy, is a rescue. She was very badly abused, has burns on her etc., and due to this she is quite skittish. She is very friendly but is scared of new people/kennels. She is a German Shepherd Corgi mix, so she sheds like NO TOMORROW. We have always hand bathed her, but wanted her to get professional de-shedding treatment. We tried PetsMart and they wouldn't even try with her. They saw she was a scared dog and just turned her away. Fast forward, and a friend referred us to Ufuria because they do not have kennels or that "shelter-like" atmosphere. Skeptical we made an appointment, but we expected to get turned away. To my delight this place was sooooo kind! My dog was scared of course, and I had a muzzle on her just for the groomer's peace of mind-not because she bites. They even let me walk with my dog to the back so that Roxy would not be so scared. An hour later she comes out wagging her tail clean, de-shed, nails clipped, paw hair trimmed, etc. I had never been so happy! They talked about how sweet she was and how they even took off the muzzle because it wasn't necessary. Ufuria is the first place to ever give my little baby a chance and I am so grateful for that. I wish I could give more stars! Extra stuff I loved: Roxy has PTSD with kennels and I LOVE that Ufuria doesn't have those. There is no crazy barking when walking in: preventing that "shelter-like" bad vibe. It is very clean and the staff was so so kind! When Roxy was first scared they weren't annoyed or mad, but very gentle and kind. PetsMart could never! I also love how they don't dry the dogs in those blowdryer kennels; like they are dogs not cars going through a car wash! All in all Ufuria is the most amazing place I have ever been to. They were kind, caring, attentive, and so much cheaper than PetsMart. Our Kishiko loves going to Ufuria. Staff is always so welcoming and professional. Kishiko is always so happy to go and loves the staff. They always get kisses from him. They've been great at keeping us informed as to who he's played with etc. We love that they are helping make sure our Akita is an example to the breed with great fun socialization. We started with half days daycare and now we sometimes do full days to make sure Kishiko gets all his energy out. We also have had him groomed and he again comes home happy and clean. I have been bringing my fur baby to Ufuria since I adopted her almost 8 years ago; and I could not be happier. The staff always goes above and beyond. I have never met a single person that works there that wasn't amazing. It takes my pup a bit longer to warm up; but once she does she will give you all the love and wet nose kisses. They are so flexible if you are running a few minutes late to pick up or drop off a few minutes early. They have great hours, opening at 7:00 am and closing at 7:00 pm Monday thru Friday; which really can help accommodate many and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday - plus; they have limited hours but are open on Holidays to ensure the pups that board are taken care of; which is such a HUGE help. I have boarded my pup here a few times; and have never once run into any issues. I always feel comfortable and confident leaving my pup here, knowing that she is in the most loving and trusting hands and that she will be a happy and tired pup when I pick her up at the end of a long day. If you are looking for a place to bring your pup, and you are in the Inland Empire - look no further. Ufuria is truly hands down the best. read more

We love ufuria. We take my mom's German Shepherd rescue here to socialize her during the days we aren't home. This place is always warm and welcoming. The people that care for the dogs are so sweet and you can tell they spend the time to build relationships with the animals. The prices are reasonable and you can choose a half day or whole day. Their "nap" time for the pups starts at 12 and goes to 2, they prefer you drop off the dog before 12 or after 2! You can pay cash or card and you can pay when you drop off or pick up. So I like ufuria, I take my dog here for daycamp and I appreciate the fact that they take the time to behaviorally evaluate all dogs before placing them in daycamp. I will continue to take my dog here, but have had to make accomodations for daycamp. They do require flea preventative for all services but obviously owners are lying about it before sending their dogs in. I sent my dog in to daycamp session and discovered fleas on him a day later. He is on advantix preventative but it was beginning to wane I suspect after 3 weeks and he was vulnerable. He did not have fleas before the session as he was groomed two days earlier and our regular groomer did not notice any fleas on him prior or after the groom. We do not have any other animals, and do not have grass. Only a patio. We are now having to steam all our carpets since I have an allergy to their bites. Since this issue came about I now have to give my dog a capstar tablet after every daycamp session to kill off any fleas that he may have picked up. This can get expensive depending on how often we take him My advice to Ufuria staff is to do a quick "check in procedure" in which they have their hands on the pet and take an assessment of body condition before admitting a pet, including checking for fleas. If any issues are suspected they can refer them to their other services (such as grooming) or if the owner is problematic refer them out. I work at a different organization and this seems to be an industry standard. read more

So many years later, and Ufuria has been and is still an integral part of our fur family journey. The boys still love coming for daycare and boarding. One core memory for us was when they were kind enough to accommodate us when my son was born. They picked up our dogs from home for daycare and boarding, which is outside of their service area. My dog loves going to "play with his friends". Ufuria is the only place in the area that receives pitbulls among other breeds; regardless of the breed, every dog has an evaluation before being able to attend, which I love! My pittbull is the most friendly, loving dog I've ever had and was very difficult for us to find a good,trusting daycare for him. After the evaluation, he was accepted and has been going there ever since. We have never had any issues with the staff, the other members and of course with "my dog's friends" I also like that they have parties for them with cake or ice cream- that makes it so much more special. He goes for 4 hours and comes home exhausted- great way to socialize and exercise at the same time! Cons: nothing big, but couple times my dog has come home smelling like pee to the point that I needed to shower him; which means they had a lot of dogs playing in the same area. read more

I've had my eye on this place even before we moved into the area. I got a coupon in one of those coupon magazines they mail to your house. The coupon was for a FREE daycare evaluation plus half day of daycare ($30 value). This was the perfect opportunity to check them out! I called to make an appointment and dropped my dog off at 1:00PM and picked her up at 6:00PM. When Irwin brought her out, I've never seen her so happy! She was running around, jumped on me and then flopped on the floor. On her evaluation, she got a B+! HAHA... Cinnamon is the alpha dog in my pack so I wasn't sure how she'd react to other dogs, but apparently she had a good time. During the summary, they also told me who she became friends with and how she acted towards the staff. Fun place. They also have dog boarding, dog grooming, pet-sitting services and pet products here. Glad I checked them out and relieved to know I have somewhere to go if I need to board my dogs. If you want your pet to return to you the way you dropped them off, stay away from Ufuria. I have used ufuria for boarding my dog a few times in the last 2 years. About 3 weeks ago I brought my dog here to stay for 2 nights. I dropped my dog off healthy and fine, and when I picked him up his eyes were very red and he looked drugged. I called ufuria to ask about anything unusual happening or if he had gotten in contact with another dog and was told he had "woken up with crusties so they used a wet cloth to try to get them out". Now I know he has had 'eye boogers' after a night of rest and I've used a wet tissue to get them out, but this has never happened before. I know a few days prior we had taken him to get updated shots so I was thinking maybe he had an allergic reaction, and his eyes had slowly started to get better over the next few weeks. When I took him to ufuria yesterday morning (Saturday)his eyes were completely fine... until I picked him up this evening (Sunday). He stayed for just 1 night and when I picked him up this time his eyes looked even worse than his stay a few weeks prior, so I now knew there was something at this place that was causing this. I once again called to ask about anything happening- if he was around any other dogs, if the food could've caused this (his stay a few weeks ago we brought his own food, this time he has ufuria's, so that ruled out the cause being food), if there was ANYTHING AT ALL that could've harmed my dog this way. All the lady said was that it could've been maybe the detergent they use to wash the beds or from his allergies(he has allergies but never like this and this has only happened AFTER his stay at Ufuria). Like I said I've been taking him here for 2 years now and suddenly these things are happening to him after his stay. If they have changed the detergent then a notice should've been sent to all clients and/or at the time of booking give a breakdown of everything used as well as an itinerary of the pet's stay. My poor dog looks terrible and I am very concerned and scared. I will be taking him to the vet to be looked at. Also, even after returning home my dog ran to his water and food bowl as if he hadn't had water or food since before we dropped him off. I do not trust Ufuria and I will never be bringing my dog back here for boarding. Seriously, for the safety of your pet AVOID using Ufuria for boarding. read more

Love this place! The staff is friendly and the boarding facilities are nice. The play areas for the dogs are large, and there are separate areas for the dogs to play in depending on their size and how they interact with other dogs. The boarding section offers nice enclosed kennels with glass doors, a cot and blanket for your dog. Pricing is reasonable, and the office area offers several types of food you can purchase, along with treats that look really good for your dog. Unfortunately, they don't have web cameras so you can watch your dog playing, which is a bummer as it's fun to watch your dog(s) when they aren't with you. I wish I would have read the reviews more thoroughly before dropping our pets off at Ufuria. Seems like a lot of the issues people are reporting are still reoccurring. First time we left both our dogs there we purchased the media package it was going to be $20 per dog per day for 3 pictures. We never received anything the day we had schedule for the pictures but yet were still charged. We notified them when checking out we never received the pictures so they sent them to us there on the spot. I wanted pictures while we were away, so we can see how they're doing, not when we came back. It defeated the whole purpose. They still charged us and never gave us a print out as they said was included in the media package. My dog also came back with some big scratches on top of his nose, not sure if they're leaving them in the crates for extended periods of time, but what they have listed on their site is already a very long time to crate a dog. Second time (we should have learned our lesson by now) we booked a preferred suite and didnt get the media package. I had 2 dogs and asked if booking 1 room for both of them would be ok since 1 is a small breed and they're used to sleeping together. They said that was fine and I would only be charged for 1 room for both dogs. When I came to pick them up they charged us for 2 rooms even though they only boarded our dogs in 1. My big dog has a limp in one leg, while my smaller dog has these small bites/bumps on its back. I'm taking both to the vet tomorrow. Im not sure what is happening behind the scenes, but I'm sure we would be very disturbed if we knew. This is probably why they dont offer 24 hour live web camera. This place is a complete mess and the staff is unorganized. The mistakes and miscommunication on their parts always result in you having to pay more as if its your fault. If you care for the well being of your pets, I would highly recommend looking somewhere else before ever considering this place. read more

I've been coming to this place for about 6+ years now to get my dog groomed. I'm always pleased with the cut job and feel comfortable knowing my dog is being treated well. The staff are always polite and friendly. They are thorough about how you want the cut, like they asked me how much length I wanted to take off on her body, her face, and tail, and if she needed her anal glands checked (the clue if you need this if your pet scoots on the carpet). I know they care about the pet and do a thorough job. My dog has a recurring skin condition and one time when we brought her in to get groomed, the groomers brought her skin up to me with concern. I've been to another groomer when I needed to get her groomed on short notice and Ufuria had no openings, and the new groomers mentioned nothing about her skin condition. That solidified for me that I wouldn't go to another groomer besides Ufuria. I paid about $60 for the full service. They charged me about $7 more because my dog was being a bit fussy--hates getting her nails trimmed. The whole grooming took about 2 hours and they even let me drop her off 30 minutes earlier so I could get to another appointment on time. I also purchased some organic treats for my dog, which they have plenty of choices to choose from and that you won't find at Petsmart. I like their raw bar for the special treats. For my small maltese, the staff recommended the chicken necks, $0.89 each, and my dog loved it. read more

Everything needs improvement. The owner is nasty and demeaning. I spoke to her in regards to a miscommunication I had with the office on pricing. I even asked how much the total price would be when dropping my dogs off. I was told by the representatives to not worry about it. Upon picking my dogs up I was shocked at the price and I explained that is not what I was quoted. I made a partial payment and was told the owner would call me. When talking to the owner she talked down to me, implied with her tone of voice that I'm stupid asking why would anyone think that would be the price. Overall DISGUSTED with the way the owner handled this situation. She lost money too because I couldn't pay the total amount. She could have easily requested a payment plan but didn't. AWFUL BUSINESS AND SERVICE. Will never be returning. In passing, I've talked with other dog owners about this business and have heard horror stories about some dogs accidentally being let loose and owner finding out on their own!!!! If I could give a zero rating I would! I took my husky here to start daycare as we moved to this area recently and needed to find another daycare for my dog to go. This place requires a 4 hour evaluation prior to taking them to daycare. I think, ok cool, my dog has been going to daycare for years now and loves all dogs and cats so no big deal. 2 hours into the evaluation I get call that my dog all of a sudden freaked out and cut her nose and gums and they couldn't do the evaluation anymore. This dog has never had any incidents, drives cross country with me and does other play groups. NEVER any issues, until this place. They have young girls working there that have no customer service and then I get a receipt that said my dog was snappy! So now they're trying to save their own butt by putting the blame on my dog! My dog has been so freaked out she won't leave my side and refused to eat her food. When I called to complain about the receipt they then put the blame on ME saying that young girl was going to explain to me what happened but she's a CHILD and clearly had no competence to say "hey, let me explain what happened" these people are horrible and refused to show me the cameras of what happened. DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, THEY WILL PUT ALL THE BLAME ON THE OWNER AND THE DOG AND MAKE UP LIES ON RECEIPTS TO SAVE THEM. We have a 12 week old German Shepherd pup and didn't have anyone to watch over while we went out of town. We called several pet hotels and boardings and from the initial first call through pickup, the staff was so helpful, patient and was really the determining factor of who to trust with our pup. The only negative thing to mention and take a star away for was the media package we paid extra for, wasn't received until 8:30pm of the 2nd night of stay. I've been going to Ufuria for a couple of years now. We have used their day care and boarding facilities. Twice I have had my dog returned to me with some type of serious scratch. And by the way, they don't have cameras for you to view their play area. I picked her up today after a 10 day stay. She was in a metal crate for the first few days because they didn't have any more suites. My fault. Should've booked sooner. But she is used to a metal crate as we raised her being created in one when we would leave her home. After running some errands with her today, I noticed this gash mark on her nose. Nobody informed me of this when I picked her up. So I called (And why should I even have to call and inquire?). Evidently this incident wasn't in her file because the girl who answered the phone had to ask the manager and the groomer if they knew anything. She told me the manager told her she scratched it in the crate. Huh? How did that happen? In the 5+ years we had her in a metal crate, she never got injured! Not even when she was over excited. Ok. So things happen. She's a dog, but no one telling me about it when I picked her up?! No one called or texted me when it happened to keep me informed?! THAT pisses me off. Needless to say I'll be looking for some other place to board her during vacations from now on. read more

Ufuria has been a saving grace for my pup. He is very energetic and would get bored at home, even after a 4 mile run. Ufuria has been just the place for him to safely get that energy out. We've been taking our pups to ufuria for over 3 years. Not sure what took me so long to post a review! We love that our pups can stay together whenever they get a suite. Everyone we have dealt with there have given our pups so much love and care especially since they are seniors now. Over the last year, our female schnauzer lost her vision and it takes her some time to get used to her surroundings. The staff at ufuria always remember her and makes sure to let us know she's doing okay. We love that we can give ufuria instructions and they will always follow them. Ufuria is the only other place besides home that our pups know. We all love them! read more

This was the first time my dog stayed away from home with people that she did not know. I was satisfied for the most part. She did smell really bad along with her bed, and they overfed her based on the amount of food that was left but she's on a fresh food diet and that can be hard to gauge. I will definitely take her there again and hope to have a much better experience. read more
