We've been going to that other "smart" store for over five years to have our dog's nails trimmed. Ever since, they've told us that we can just walk in and they will do the trim. The most we've ever had to wait is about 15 to 20 minutes. Today, was no different, walked in at 10:15a, let them know that we needed a nail trim, the associate said that the earliest they can get us in was not till 12 PM without an appointment. An appointment? I explained to them that in the five years we've been going to them for nail grinds (which is pretty frequent) we've never had to make an appointment. That's when she said that making appointment has always been in place. So, I walked out, came over to The Good Dog. The General Manager greeted us, even while working with another customer. Listening how he handled the other two customers in front of us (who appeared to be regulars) set the tone that this is a friendly place that we want to be a part of. You know, it's like "Cheers," you wanna go where everyone knows your name! Well, they were able to get us in right away. They advised we typically do not need to make an appointment for nail grind, but to simply call up to make sure they are not busy at the moment, otherwise can get in quickly. Edit 7/2/2026: The owner reached out to me and was very apologetic and sincere in his replies. I've decided to improve my review for that reason. They offered medical wipes for my dog's injury and a complete re-grooming with a different groomer. I chose not to continue patronage, but the offer and continued open communication was very appreciated. Original Review: This is the first time I've been to this location and decided to go here due to the large number of good reviews. They were able to fit my appointment in very last minute, less than 24hrs notice, super friendly staff, and lots of merchandise. Also great cut options avaliable for someone new, trying to figure out what a new groomer can do with a new client. Asked them to brush his teeth and grind his nails, to which they accomplished (at least his breath smells better). With that said, I was told they would contact me 20 minutes before he's ready for pickup, they did not. They messaged me when he was done. No big deal. When I picked him up, immediately noticed the uneven cut job. As we're driving home, noticed A BUNCH of dirt left in his coat. Makes me question if they bathed him, and if they did, they didnt do a good thorough job. Also started to notice the uneven cut throughout his body, from his stomach where they left bunches of fur, to his back, which seemed as though they used two sizes for razors. They cut him (most likely by accident) but just reinforces my suspicion that they rushed through his entire "grooming". For the $100 package, counting $15 for dental/nail grinding, I can't say I'm not disappointed. Unfortunately, will not be coming back. Sincerely disappointed :( I will have to bathe him again, give him a complete haircut, and finish areas they didnt even attempt too, such as the hair under his nose going into his mouth. read more

I will NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. I took my maltipoo last week. I took her here maybe once before years ago. This is not my normal groomer. My dog just went to the vet for a physical exam just hours before and there were no issues. She is an indoor dog & does not socialize with any other dogs. She has never had an open wound, nor any incident with any other groomer in her life (5 years). My dog came home with cuts on her legs and face and I just found another on her ear this morning (it was masked by hair). I contacted the company and the groomer said the scab on her legs must have got caught on the clippers. She also said she doesn't like being cut on her face. I do not believe either of these statements. She has never had issue at any other groomer. My main complaint is that none of these were mentioned to me when I picked her up. It was only said after I called and told them what I found. The owner did contact me and apologize and offered to refund half the grooming price. I do appreciate that. However, Now that I found another cut on her ear, I'm honestly even more upset. There is no way that she went in there with all these cuts without my knowledge and without a licensed vet noticing them. She didn't because those cuts weren't there prior to her grooming, although the groomer claims they were. I should've have requested a full refund and medical care/products. Although I did receive an apology after contacting them, it doesn't negate this fact this shouldn't have ever happened. Now I have to spend money tend to her wounds medically and don't know what to do since this has never happened before. I'm just very irritated with the whole situation and hope I don't find any more cuts. read more

I wanted to update my review again since last posting. My dog now sees a new groomer. She is in the best hands ever. I haven't gotten 1 bad report about her since the switch. In regard to the CBD issues, I also was told from other people who left the good dog (not the new groomer) that they experienced the same issues with the good dog. Save your money. They rescheduled my 12:30 PM appointment to 4:30 PM the day before, only to rush the job. My dog's tail was left completely uneven and at different lengths. The groomer actually admitted she didn't have the time to focus on dematting, but management still demanded full price for a rushed, unfinished service. He normally hates haircuts because he had got injured at a public pet store chain, but he was great today. Didn't need any calming treats or drops. Response and advice: Get your full price upfront, I did not ask for my dog to have his teeth brushed nor did I approve , I was quoted $65, charged 30 higher and yes I still tipped that's me. As a rebuttal to owners comment, my sweet boy cried when I would touch his left side of his neck and lift his paw up in pain. I gave him trazadone and aspirin for dogs and heating blanket for pain, limited his movement , he must have had his leg pulled on. I have insurance but had to pay upfront to have him checked. I might be the only person that experienced this, and it's good for all to learn from it. I appreciate the owners response and this review was not in malice only my truth. read more

Beware!!!! Avoid this place at all cost! It has taken me a while to really think about what I was going to write given that I never write reviews on places, but this really has me shaken up. I took my dog in to what would have been her 1st birthday grooming, to only be shocked at how I found her. They waited to closing time to get me In to pick her up and not once called me to communicate anything during her visit. Almost 3.5 hrs later I still had not received a call of completion. Upon pick up, I could tell she was in distress when I saw her she was down to almost bare skin from how I had taken her In and she's an AussieDoodle Mix so she has a lot of hair. She had clumps of hair hanging from her, unevenly trimmed everywhere and irritated skin and seemed terrified. They said she was badly matted and had a hard time grooming her but not once did they communicate that while they were grooming her, they took it upon themselves to trim her down very short, including her face which I had asked for a teddy bear face. The guy who I believe is the owner tried to charge me a prorated amount for that day and I was in shock. How do you figure I should pay anything after what they did to my dog. The groomer, who was very apologetic offered to pay for her grooming. They asked me if I could take her back In the next morning so they could complete the grooming. I took her in the next morning and the guy mentioned that they had a more experienced groomer and she would be completing the grooming. Needless to say they ruined her first birthday for all of us but mainly her and now almost a week later she is still exhibiting signs of distress and trauma. At this point it's unknown what type of treatment she truly received while in their care. She is not the same dog I took In and I regret immensely bringing her here. This place deserves zero stars in professionalism and communication and I hope this will help anyone who thinks of taking their precious fur babies here. read more

I'm always able to find what I need at Miguels store. He has a good selection of frozen. All the good natural brands . Nothing you will ever find in a grocery store or at Petco. I took some videos so you can see the brands that they carry for frozen, freeze dried, and kibble. They must've redone the store since my last visit so that's why I took photos and videos. I've been coming here for years but yesterday they went above and beyond. Over the weekend my dog decided to play with a skunk. I had to put my dog down because according to the vet, whatever my dog went through and the stress that she was caused, made her have a diabetic spike, so intense but she ended up getting ketones in her liver.
