We left him on a Weds and picked him up Sunday and I noticed right away something was not right with our dog. He was very skittish, head and tail down and trembling. He smelled very strongly of urine and feces, when I asked about it The girl explained that he had a a few accidents in his crate and they wiped him down. Whatever that meant? I asked why they couldn't have bathed the poor dog rather than let him languish in this urine, her answer was that he wasn't eligible for a free bath until the 5th day. Really! We would have payed to have him bathed!! Also, per usual, they sent pictures of him supposedly having fun but never any mention of him having accidents. This will be the last time we will use this business as phone calls and email to talk to management yielded no response, so I guess they have enough clientele that loosing us will not be a big deal. I have gone here for a while and I really like a couple of the vets there except everytime I go…read morethere are different doctors and I never get to see the same one. I think they have a large turn around with vets coming and going. I would like to be able to see a doctor I prefer and that would get to know my pets, but I would never get an appt if that were the case. This last time I went in I once again saw a new vet and my cat had a very common symptom, easily fixed but I was given 2 options...basically do nothing or get over $600 worth of tests! I declined the tests as I thought it was ridiculous overkill to run all those tests when I know my cat really does not need them. They never want to treat the exact symptom but instead right away run a ton of expensive tests. Vets used to try the simplest treatment FIRST and then if that did not work go onto the next, but they want to try to skip to the worst possible diagnosis and start with the most extreme treatment first which is the most expensive. This makes me think they are just trying to make money. I used to be a vet tech for years and I know when they are adding a bunch of unnecessary tests and this has saved me thousands of dollars. Literally about 90% of the time it ends up my cat did NOT need the tests and bloodwork they suggested.

Typically I have a neighbor come over but that isn't as consistent as I would prefer. I left my kitties in Alan's care during our out of state trip for Thanksgiving. He came each day and let me know when he was coming the day of (so I could turn off my alarm). I asked him to bring my trash cans back to the house and bring packages in that my mail hold didn't handle and he did without charging an additional fee! I was shocked! He sent me pictures daily of my babies and I felt so comfortable knowing that someone was coming over and loving on them for a little bit. Alan will be my go to guy for all of my pet sitting needs!!

St Mark's changed all of that from the first phone call. The lady who answered listened to Winnie's story and was very understanding. She didn't even look behind her as she was walked away lol Throughout Winnie's stay the staff sent me photos and videos of Winnie. I loved being able to have that, seeing Winnie have fun helped me to enjoy my own trip. Although it looks like Winnie had the better vacation lol I did choose to add grooming before I picked her up. From our first grooming appt (about a yr ago) to sadly our last in Dec 2025, Jackie was the best! Kind, gentle, patient, compassionate, knowledgeable; always so warm and welcoming for myself and my pup. In March of this year, I called to schedule an appt and was told that Jackie no longer worked there and was provided no explanation or additional info. Needless to say, I was shocked and disappointed. I can't speak to what happened, as I don't know. Fortunately, after a bit of a search, I was able to find Jackie and thankfully, she has moved on with her own business. I'm so grateful I was able to reconnect with her as she's the best groomer we've ever had. As far as the 2 star rating, that stands for the business with regard to their lack of acknowledgement and communication with her clients. This rating by no means represents Jackie, as she is well beyond a 5 star rating!
