I'd been to Skinny Dennis a million times in Brooklyn. I wasn't sure what to expect. It blew me away. It's huge. They still have the coffee thing. The bartenders were cool as hell and gave us recs for our trip. The live music was amazing. My girlfriend said it was her favorite bar experience ever. It's definitely up there.

This place was an amazing find! Went with my boyfriend, and my bonus boyfriend, for Burger Week (Sully's Smoke Shack participated, which is downstairs) and we were blown away. It looks and feels like it maybe has been a Nashville honky tonk staple for 20 years (not in a bad way) but has only been only 1 yr or so. Great drink specials and a pop-up vintage shop on Sunday. Service was great and it had S level vibes for ambiance.

Live music every night, cold beer in frosty mugs, hot peanuts, amazing food from Sully's Smoke Shack on the patio (quite possibly some of the best fish and shrimp tacos I have ever had in my life), an old fashion on draft so strong it will grow hair on your chest, and the best dance floor on the east side to two-step all night long--the real-deal place to go see country music in Nashville, and by far the best honky-Tonk in Nashville by a mile.

Sully's Smoke Shack is fire!!! The bartenders are top-notch, and the music is off the charts!!! What more can I say, other than: Welcome to Nashville "BK7 and the Skinny Dennis!"

Grab a "coffee-whacker". Brooklyn's cousin is rockin ALWAYS!

packed. head to toe. Great live music and a nice rotating food truck in the back. This turns the bad perception of east nashville folks into a fantastic time machine of happiness, music and good vibes.

Stoke Haus Brewing & BBQ is hands down the best BBQ experience of my life!…read more A few helpful tips before you go: parking is a little limited right in front and the entrance is easy to miss. There is additional parking around the side in an open lot that felt safe, was free (at least currently), and was super convenient. Once you arrive, walk around the left side of the building and order inside at the bar. They'll give you a pager, and when your food is ready, you'll head outside to the food truck for pickup. When we first walked in, I have to admit I thought, "What is that smell?" Then I realized it was the giant brewing vats and the smell of the beer-making process. Once I connected the dots, I actually started appreciating it and felt it added to the experience and the authenticity of the brewery. We tried their signature beer, a quality dark ale that paired perfectly with our meal. It had a great depth of flavor and was the perfect complement to the BBQ. For food, we ordered and split: Half order of ribs: incredibly tender with a crispy, flavorful top. They were packed with flavor and came with two dipping sauces. I preferred the BBQ sauce over the Carolina-style sauce, but both were enjoyable. Brussels sprouts: OH MY GOODNESS. I genuinely did not know vegetables could taste this good. Even my veggie-hating partner loved them, which honestly says everything. These were a standout. Mac & cheese: visually, this was beautiful and looked like it was going to be a favorite. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the way I expected and wasn't as satisfying as I hoped. THE BRISKET BURGER = THE STAR OF THE SHOW! I have never had a brisket burger before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was phenomenal. The Gouda cheese was incredible, and the combination of the mayo, pickles, and sauce created the perfect balance of flavors. It was everything you want in a burger and more. This is the dish I will be telling everyone about. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was fantastic. They have board games in the back, and it looks like they host karaoke nights, which gives the space a really fun, community-oriented feel. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and helpful. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. Great food, great beer, great people, and a unique experience. Stoke Haus is a must-visit and if you go, do yourself a favor and order the brisket burger. You won't regret it.

You know the places I'm talking about. No, I wanted somewhere authentic. In a neighborhood, not near the mall. A place most people would drive past. Stoke Haus is all this and more. Much more. 2pm on Sunday and the parking lot was full. (I'm sure a good handful was for the liquor store next door). The first issue - how do you get in?? There is no front door. There is a tall wooden fence on the side of the building. I peek through the gap between the fence and the wall. A long smoker, a pile of wood, a small food truck (what???). I see a couple leaving the building by a side door. This must be it. There is a sign taped to the door: order at the bar and pick up at the truck. Following instructions, we approach the bar. The couple next to me just got their food. OMG. That looks so good. I ask what they have...brisket, a pulled pork sandwich, German potato salad, cole slaw, fried okra and a little pile of pickles and marinated onions. I don't even look at the menu. "I want that" I tell the bartender. We each order a beer (I forgot to mention that this is a brewery too). We received our beer and a buzzer, found a table and proceeded to play on our phones until the buzzer went off. My husband went outside to the food truck and came in with a metal tray nearly overflowing with food. We didn't waste a second digging in. The brisket was incredibly tender with a most amazing bark. A little too fatty, even for brisket, but still a "must order". The sandwich was absolutely stuffed with tender, juicy pulled pork. Perfection. The sides, especially the potato salad were excellent (though the okra wasn't made from scratch, it was still worthy). The pickles? That final little "oomph". Our meal wasn't just a home run, it was a grand slam! I've written a lot of reviews. I've written a lot of 5 star reviews. I'd love to be able to give Stoke Haus 10 stars. This is definitely a don't miss!!

Honestly, I was just relieved we found a spot within easy walking distance. We arrived a few minutes late unfortunately and the lights were already a little dim so I couldn't see the place as well as I wanted. Our tickets and IDs were checked as we walked in. The venue is located on the second floor above another business. The steps are a little steep to watch your heels if you're wearing them! Inside there's a small stage and a nice bar. Seating is pretty limited but for our concert the vibe was definitely super high energy/party focused so we didn't mind standing up to bounce and dance to the music. The bar has a nice array of specialty cocktails. I was very impressed with the bartender, Marc, who was attentive, fun, and hardworking. He even went out of his way to help the performer when a few small details went awry on the stage. I don't drink super often and what I wound up ordering didn't taste quite like how I'd hoped it would, but I'm more than willing to chalk that up to my relative inexperience and general ambivalence toward alcohol. The sound/acoustics were great and the whole place was bumpin! I would advise bringing ear plugs to protect your hearing if you're headed to a loud concert -- you'll inevitably be fairly close to the performer and therefore it can easily be suuuuuper loud with the mics and amps and whatnot. I had a great time but will try to remember mine next time! The only main drawback was it got hot inside super fast. We stood by the open entryway for much of the conference and even that airflow wasn't enough to keep us from leaving very, very sweaty lol. Bring water! Overall, a fun venue and a great night out for us! Thanks, TBV!

This is a great little neighborhood hangout spot with decent food that never seems to be too busy to grab a table. It can be tricky to walk into a popular restaurant in this area without a reservation these days, so it really stands out when we find a spot that we don't have to plan in advance to dine at. There's also free parking for up to two hours in the attached lot, which is a win-win. Service is pretty quick, and the prices seem spot on too. My husband's current go-to is the "Good Neighbor Combo," which is probably one of the best meal deals in town. You get a classic cheeseburger, fries, and a beer for $13! I've tried a couple of different burgers, and my favorite so far is their ANM.L. Style. Their Cajun dry rub wings are also delicious, as are their waffle fries.

And from the moment we saw the M.L. Rose sign go up, we were absolutely pumped to have one of our favorite spots coming to our end of town! This location anchors a small plaza and is deceivingly large. Upon entry you walk into the large space that holds the host(ess) stand, waiting area to the left with a few games and cocktail tables, then it opens up to the bar and the main dining area...if you walk through this area and take a hard left it opens up into even more seating...then you hit the door and wander into a delightful two-spaced patio! All the spaces have the M.L. vibe, they did not miss a beat there...but what this location does have that others do not is the large-suspended owl in the dining space leading to the patio. A cool piece for sure! We have no absolute favorites at M.L. as we have sampled our way through the menu across the city. A few go-to's are the chicken nachos and Sgt. Pepper burger, both absolute legends and always delish! I do also enjoy the wings, even though the price of $22 for 12 gives a bit of sticker shock. Recently tried the Brussels and they were tasty as well. Of course, the bar is always on point as well. The taps are flowing and the beers on rotations are always solid. Parking here is plentiful on both sides of the building. As long as you are in and out within 2 hours it is complimentary, but the main lot is a pay lot. Service was great from entry to exit. No issues at all. Overall, super pumped to M.L. in the neighborhood - We will quickly become regulars!
