I came here with my family & we sat at one of the tables connected to the wall on the right of the building. we got our food and it was closer to the wall so our table would have room & there was a roach on the wall next to our food so we ended up leaving. it has us questioning the sanitation level of this place. be careful where you eat. read more

My husband & I were in town on Valentine's Day antique shopping. We stopped at Lola's and just walked down the road looking at the food options, we just blindly picked his place without reading any reviews which is rare for me not to check yelp first. I'll start by saying I got mozzarella sticks. They were garbage and so was the sauce (just use pizza sauce) but that doesn't matter bc the pizza was SOOO good. I honestly think the best pizzas I've ever had. It was busy being Valentine's Day and the service was still good. The sweet tea was good. And the prices weren't bad at all. We had cold beers--maybe 12 flavors on tap to choose from: blue Moon, Corona, Fat Tire, Bud Light are the ones I remember seeing offered. The inside was modern industrial with ample seating and there is also outside seating available right on Center Street. It's a great up and coming area of Goldsboro. In the 'old' location of Brisas Latin Up North Pizzeria is providing just what Goldsboro needed.... more authentic and culturally inspired dishes! The location is great, a lot of parking is available on the street or in the next door lot & it's always free! Parking is a huge plus for me. The management took a big leap and opened during the COVID-19 safer at home order in NC, limited capacity is allowed in the restaurant but they opened the doors and are filling up to the 50% quota daily, while it seemed silly they clearly know their business and did the right thing. Hand sanitizer stations are set up by the front door and you can see the increased sanitation and cleaning practices being done by the staff to follow the government's current guidelines. Upon coming inside we were welcomed quickly, sat down and ordered a Moscow mule as it was suggested by the server and a Brisas style mojito. Their menu is simple (only front and back) but filled with variety!!! The New England Veggie is the perfect option for vegans and veggie lovers, you can choose to add cheese to it if you wish but it's not needed with the fresh veggies and flavor piled high. This is a great local pizza spot in downtown Goldsboro. The pizza i very good and they offer a variety of different pies from the Manhattan Prosciutto to the New England veggie. I have eaten here many times and tonight will be the last time. I felt so disrespected and like I was invisible when I was standing right in front of 3 of the staff members. I only ordered a small pizza and I called it in for me to pick up. When I arrived, I stood at the bar because the sign states please wait to be seated. As I stood there waiting for someone to assist me there was an employee standing about 2 feet away from me talking, 1 was behind the bar on her phone and another had come out of the back and walked right past me.i stood there for about 5 minutes and still nothing so I sat down at the end of the bar to wait for assistance. 2 other employees proceed to just walk right past me to another table and we're the same employees that saw me walk in. It was not until I actually had to yell to get someone's attention and then the employee that was just standing there talking decided that she would finally assist me. I told her my order and she proceeded to go get it. It took them another 5 minutes to bring it out so I paid asked for my change and left to find out once I got to my car that they did not even give me all of my change. From the time I walked in until the time I walked out they dismissed me like I was not even there and it wasn't even busy because when I came in the employees weren't doing anything at all. I used to love this place but they will never get my money ever again. You don't treat people like that regardless of their racial background especially in a customer service setting. And I know it had something to do with my race because everyone else was caucasian and they deliberately just kept looking right over me to help everyone else. There was even a caucasian man that came in after me and they greeted him and got right to assisting him while I was sitting right there! Just rude, disrespectful and UNPROFESSIONAL! If you're black or someone of color, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! A gas station bathroom has better customer service than these assholes!!! read more

Was really excited to try this place, as downtown Goldsboro has some great restaurants. Sadly, the experience was a huge disappointment. The restaurant was busy at all, but the service was so slow. We finally had our ordering taken twice after about 10min. We ordered drinks, fried pickles, fried ravioli, and a cheese pizza. Sadly, the fried pickles and fried ravioli were nothing special. Freeze dried and not flavorful at al. Served with a side of substandard ranch and marinara sauce. Nothing too impressive at all. The pizza was claimed to be New York style, however, I found it to be quite nauseating. The lack of sauce, if any, made for a dry pizza. The crust was also very standard. No real flavor, and did not have the crunch a good pizza should have. The cheese was the worst part. Not sure what they use, but it was like paste or glue covered in grease. It honestly reminded me of pizza I would get at chuckie cheese. Definitely not even close to New York style at all. There are much better places in town if you want a good slice of pizza. read more
