Pretty sure it was because I was a black female. Literally just wanted a buy a bowl piece for my bong. THIS is why I stick to online smoke shops and people tend to never wanna go into these places. This was my smoke shop when I lived in Logan and it was the best. It's a friendly neighborhood locally owned joint that always had what I needed or the guy there would happily talk to me about a new recommendation. Place plays great music and stays open late too. This place is my go-to for basically all of my smoke needs. What I really appreciated is that the staff members that helped me did not just try to sell me a product and brush me out of the store. They both took their time showing me a bunch of their products on display and advised me the best options as far as what I was looking for in a new smoke device that I've had for 9 months now and STILL haven't had any problems or breakage! Some how yelp deleted my previous review so I will write another. At first I did not know where the store was, its a little hidden so keep a look out! Up in smoke shop is the store I always go to for my vaporizer acessories and oils. This shop has reasonable prices and high quality products, which I really like. Their glass selection is amazing, they have lots of weird and cool bowls to pick from. The woman who helped pick out what I was looking for was very knowledgeable and helpful. She told me if the battery I purchased did not accommodate my cartridge then I could return it. I came back less than a week with my receipt to return but was told by, who I presume is the owner, that they do not do returns. I tried to explain that it does not fit my piece and his employee told me I could. He spoke over me and kept telling me that there are no returns without hearing me out. In frustration, I said wtf aloud and was then yelled at, called racist and told multiple times that if I was a guy he would fuck me up. That was fun! Whether you're looking for tobacco pipes, water pipes, e-cig products or accessories (and a tasty selection of juice), Up In Smoke is a great neighborhood stop. If you need whipped cream chargers for your next baking endeavor, Up In Smoke has you covered as well. Friendly staff, always helpful. Great location. I use to go there and buy my cigarette tubes from here and they cost $3.25 to $4.00, I went in there today March 1st 2014 to buy some more tubes and the guy behind the counter tried charging me $13.95 for a box of tubes, the minute I questioned him about it, He changed the price to $13.00 for the box of tubes that only cost $3.25, when I told him they only cost $3.25 and i get my tubes from there all the time all he could say was sorry but they are $13.00. Small in size, but big on customer services. I felt weird buying products from someone who could have been my offspring, but the young lady knew her stuff and was able to help me find exactly what I needed. Stopped into this shop with some friends yesterday and it's a fairly small shop but they've got some pretty decent pieces and I was able to find myself a decent inexpensive vape pen which they even threw in a free e juice with! The girl working the shop was very nice , helpful and knowledgeable ,and my friends got a deal for making a big purchase. Will definitely stop by again sometime. read more

They have WONDERFUL selection of hookah tobaccos. Their selection on bowls and pipes is good as well. They don't have MANY hookahs, but they do have hookah accessories. There are a few different employees. I've found them to be quite helpful. Very knowledgeable on their items, which is a plus. Not too many shops know what they carry. This place does. Their prices are awesome and they will work on prices with you. I didn't exactly haggle, but they do drop taxes and a few dollars off some items here and there. All in all a good place. 4 stars for being awesome, Would've been 5, but like i said, not too many hookahs to choose from. read more

I was talking to the woman about the vapor products and I have been trying it for a month now and I have not craved cigarettes since. It sure has helped me a lot and improved my health. The guy that runs this place is totally cool! I saved up for a couple months to buy a vaporizer as they can be a bit pricey. The shop had a decent selection of portable and electric vaporizers starting from $100. I bought a battery powered one but was unhappy with it and it didn't work. I was anxious about bringing it back for an exchange because I didn't know if he would give me a hard time about it He was totally cool, not a big deal and hooked me up with a vaporizer that was a much better fit and works awesomely!
