Discovered this place a few weeks ago & grabbed my usual bottle of vape juice. All was fine until my second visit. The packaging looked eerily similar, but was in a box. I didn't think much of it as this brand has changed their packaging previously. (They went from glass bottles to plastic.) Sadly, upon opening this when I got home, I realize not only was it the WRONG brand, the bottle is HALF the size. I was given the wrong juice altogether, with Sapphire Nic to be added... when it clearly states on the packaging that the juice ALREADY contains nicotine. I was also charged more for this. I guess I should stick to ordering from online vendors. [EDIT] I just bumped up my review upon a third visit this evening. Thankfully they're open late! Going back, I wasn't expecting much. However, upon speaking to someone else & explaining the situation, I was at least allowed to exchange the previous purchase. (Most shops I've gone to do not allow refunds or exchanges.) They have an incredibly good selection, but some of the products can be completely fake. For example, I recently bought a black stiiizy battery, only to find out it was totally fake and didn't have nearly enough pulling strength, and had to pursue a refund through my bank because they "don't accept refunds". However, the selection is quite vast, and they have a bunch of products I haven't been able to locate elsewhere in the Chicagoland area. read more

STOP!!! This place is a scam and everything in their store is a knock off. I purchased a few items, brought them home only to find out they did not work. When I called and spoke to the employee they told me that they were not offering any refunds and that all sales were final. They went on to tell me that I must have broke the items and they did not trust me and basically called me a liar. I will be sure to follow up with my CC company to make sure I get compensated for the fake items this place is selling. He remembered our inquiry from the morning and was extremely helpful and ended up hooking is up (we appreciate it bro!) The service was seriously awesome and we didn't feel pressured or rushed (even tho he was busy and had customers coming in/out) We were beginner vapers and he was patient as we browsed the large juice selection. In the end we left w a Kanger Mini starter kit (highly recommended this mod!) 2 moo juices 60ml (MOO IS THE BEST JUICE WE EVER TRIED**) a battery, nicotine, AND a glass piece for around $120. He gave us discounts because we were...nice? Been coming here for 2 years since moving to Edgewater. Always nice staff until yesterday. I was sold a piece (with no price tag btw so who knows if they make up the price depending on who it is) and it was sold to me at $75. Get home and each time I filled it with water there was a puddle on my kitchen counter, my WOOD bar, and my WOOD side table. Took it back which I do not do bur $75 is a lot for a piece that doesn't work and can ruin my furniture. Not to mention, I bought a piece with bumblebees on it just weeks before which was $65 and when I got home two of the bees on the piece had missing heads. Didn't bring it back nor complain, but this time I did. The guy with the glasses gave me a small selection of $60 pieces to choose from with an grumpy look on his face. He asked where the bowl was to the piece and I explained that the bowl is small, so me using it three times, it was now black and caked up with ash and resin. He side eyed me and took the bowl off of the replacement piece. Adding insult to injury. I called back and went off and he told me I can come back and get a bowl. I asked about being out $15 and he said I could come back and get a $75 piece. I was already outside of Target by the time we finished our conversation. I bought dog food and went back. He argued with me that I chose the piece and proceeds to backpedal and lie about which pieces he told me I could choose from. He gave me a $70 piece AND STILL KEPT THE BOWL. That bowl would have been my extra $5 that I'm still out but he's too upset that his business has to take a loss because he bought a bad product which isn't ANYONES fault but businesses take losses like that from time to time unfortunately. I'll never shop here again, and if you're a regular you shouldn't either. I literally watched him not want to leave the counter to sell me the leaking piece the day I bought it because he was making sure a young Ethiopian couple weren't stealing. TLDR: No sampling. Mix-your-own nicotine. Unhelpful staff. Go to Roots instead. To all the reviewers who gave this place 5 stars, keep looking, vape stores get so much better than this! To begin with, there's no juice sampling offered! Sorry, but how can a vape shop get ratings like this when its customers can't even make an informed choice as to the expensive ejuice they'll be buying? If I want to buy my juice blindly, I'll do it online and at least save myself some money! Other reviewers have written about the helpful, engaging staff guiding them to just the right juice. On my visit, I had to just stare at the case and point to bottles while the indifferent clerk mumbled a vague flavor description. He wasn't rude, just disengaged, and I felt rushed and uncomfortable. Once I'd finally guessed what bottle I might not hate, he asked me the nic strength I wanted. Instead of mixing it up for me, which has been standard practice at every other vape shop I've visited, I got handed my bottle of juice still at 0 strength along with a tiny vial of nicotine concentrate, presumably intended for me to mix up for myself at home, but with no instructions provided whatsoever. At that point I was so annoyed by the experience I just took what I was given so as to get out of there as fast as possible, but seriously, what kind of ghetto nonsense is this? (To add insult to irritation, when I did make it home to figure out what the hell to do with this tiny nic tube, I realized I hadn't even been handed the right-sized vial to bring my juice up to the strength I'd specified. Awesome!) Based on the rave reviews I saw here, I was expecting a much better experience, something more like the full-service vaping showrooms I've gotten used to. Instead what I found was a pretty bare-bones operation, basically your standard convenience-store head/smoke shop that also happened to carry vape gear. If you already know they carry exactly what you want, fine. I'll start this by saying I usually never write negative reviews, but after trying to contact the store repeatedly here I am. I came in today in need of a wax pen. I've had several in the past and after a long run with my last one it was time for a replacement. I wondered in optimistically, only to be (not) greeted by a man clearly distracted and on the phone. He reluctantly showed me the Dr. Dabber "Aurora"- I don't know what's worse, his service or the product. This thing does not hit, at all. I called twice after giving it a full charge and wasting a ton of concentrate trying to determine if this pen was defective or just awful. I was assured it was the best in the store, and at 100$ (I was told I was getting a "great discount", however the $95 sticker was still on the box. Whatever, not worth going back from the car for...). If I could return this item, I WOULD! However I can't even get in contact with the store.
