This is an update to the original review a few years ago. My daughter's braces process is now complete and I have nothing but positive things to say. There is always an email reminder before an upcoming appointment and they are accommodating when you need to change it. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Update after almost two years! Ive finished my treatment and I am so pleased with the result but also how smooth the entire journey was. The staff and Dr are so gentle and so good at their jobs that I really never stressed during this process. An observation I've had every time I came into the office was how happy and well treated the staff is. Everyone works really hard but they're all happy to be here and happy to work! You can tell by their mannerisms and how professional they are. I always see the same faces and it's a great sign to see a consistent team in any business. More than anything, I'm grateful because Dr goes above and beyond what is expected. She is a incredible doctor with an amazing work ethic. I have been going to Updlike for years, the first time I went was with my seven year old daughter. My experience was more than amazing. They were very clear as to what the treatment was going to be. My daughter needed an expander which was very worrisome for me since she was so little, but they were beyond patient with her and me. Anel was just incredible! She is very gentle and knowledgeable, my daughter loved her so much. I have nothing but good things to say about Updlike. My second time was with my oldest daughter, she had an overbite and they made the process feel so easywe were happy with the results and the fact that they were always so helpful in fitting us into the schedule when needed. Now my third time was the second face of my youngest daughter after the expander, she needed regular braces. I thought I couldn't be amazed again but once again they went above and beyond. Took my Invisalign off today after two years of treatment with Dr. Updike. I love my results.

Doctor Updike and the staff were super friendly and kind. I caught a cold so I didn't wear my retainers for a while and when I was better, they didn't fit. I broke my bottom retainer jamming it into my mouth and went in to get a new one. The staff was super cool about it and helped make me a new one. 100% recommend! P.S I also had crooked teeth, but they fixed them and now my teeth mesh together perfectly like the gears on a finely-made Swiss watch. read more

Dr. Updike is one of the most caring dentists I've ever met. I took my mom here to get her Invisalign and the treatment plan was made very clear during the initial consultation. We met Dr. Updike during this consultation and she answered all the questions both my mom and I had . She is very nice and cares about all her patients. I am no longer in town to take my mom to her appointments but receiving Invisalign trays are very easy and scans are very easy. My mom was very nervous about getting her teeth aligned for the first time in her life and this office is giving her a great experience. This review is long overdue, but Dr. Updike is the best!!! I was a shy college student when I first came to Dr. Updike. She was able to get my braces off right before graduation! Long overdue review - Doctor Updike and her team are amazing!! They all care so much about their patients and provide amazing service. I received Invisalign treatment for about a year, along with retainers that came with the total cost. Regarding pricing, Dr. Updike is very reasonable. I consulted with a few places in the area and what really sold me was that she said if there are any adjustments or if she or I feel we need to extend my trays, I would not be charged an additional cost. Other places would quote a fixed number of trays or months with their pricing and would explicitly state it doesn't cover extended care or post-treatment retainers. Dr. Updike honestly just wants you to be happy with how your teeth look and will do whatever it takes to keep her patients happy. Her office was also very flexible about how we arranged my payments. The staff is so amazing - friendly but professional and well trained. The longest I ever waited was about 5 minutes in the wait room. They are really good with time management and I never saw them falling behind. The facility is always clean and doesn't feel too kid-oriented, which helps to not make the adult patients feel uncomfortable. Even though the Dr had multiple patients at once in the open floor plan, I always felt like I was being taken cared of. The Dr always remembered everything in my file. My teeth were all fixed in a year, and that was with some meticulous adjustments the Dr made to my plan. read more

I had such an incredible experience with Dr. Updike and her staff. I had metal braces in my early twenties and was pressured by my old ortho into taking them off before I was ready. I was not satisfied the first time I had braces at a different office and was disappointed in how my smile looked. I went to a few different consultations and a couple of doctors told me that there was nothing that could be done because I had already extracted all the teeth I could and that there was no way to make more space that was needed to fix my smile. However, when I went to see Dr. Updike, she went over an Invisalign treatment plan that I thought was practical and realistic. Dr. Updike is up-to-date with new technology and modern practices and suggested that I use the Carriere appliance to help shift my teeth. This worked out so well for me and I was able to fix the flair I had in my front teeth. Other orthodontists had told me I wouldn't be able to make space to push my front teeth back without having to do some type of oral surgery, but Dr. Updike's plan made it possible. She was patient with me and ensured that I was happy with the end result before finishing my Invisalign treatment. Her staff is extremely professional, the office is clean and up-to-date, and I never had to wait for my appointment. Everything is run so efficiently here and the staff was always so welcoming and professional. I am so pleased with how my results turned out. I didn't think it would be possible to achieve a nicer smile given that I already had braces and extracted all possible teeth but thanks to Dr. Updike's brilliant treatment plan, we were able to improve my smile tremendously. I get a lot of compliments on how my smile has improved and my friends and family are very impressed with Dr. Updike's work. I would 110% recommend Dr. Updike for your orthodontic needs for both children and adults. She is so friendly, kind, professional and absolutely the best at what she does. Thank you Dr. Updike!! My granddaughter started care with this Dr. It was a gift from me to pay for her braces. We were quoted a price for two phases of treatment. Her first phase took over a year. At the bottom, in small print the price is only good for a year. We were told the price would go up over 32%. After several more not so nice discussions, our family thought it best to go elsewhere. It cost me more money to start over with another orthodontist. Watch for the small print. read more

Both of my daughters are patients of Dr. Updike, we currently have a 15 yo in phase 2 and a 12 yo in between phase 1 & 2. I have felt very informed along the way and have always been given options with regards to pricing and plans. I have referred friends to Dr. Updike and they were lucky enough to not need multiple phases, which made me feel even more confident that each patient is given a personalized plan (not everyone automatically is told they need spacing, etc.) Everyone in the office is extremely positive, helpful and great with kids.
