The owner and her staff came to install the cushions, and we paid in full at that time. Unfortunately, the installation method has caused ongoing damage and frustration. The cushions were attached by sticking Velcro directly onto the painted surface of the banquette and onto the backs of the cushions. There was no proper mounting system -- just adhesive Velcro. The Velcro was not applied straight, which caused visible rippling and uneven placement. Because of this, there is no way to remove the cushions for cleaning without ripping the Velcro off the painted surface. As a result, the paint has been repeatedly damaged when I've had to remove the cushions to wash them. Additionally, the fabric that was recommended and sold to us was not truly stain-resistant. Spot cleaning leaves visible marks, so the covers have to be fully removed and machine-washed to get stains out -- which makes the flawed Velcro installation even more problematic. For a custom project at this price point, we expected a more thoughtful installation solution and better guidance on fabric durability, especially for a frequently used family seating area. I would encourage anyone considering custom upholstery to ask detailed questions about installation methods and fabric performance before moving forward.

Oscar responded with clear and reasonable quotes and a 5-wk process time. sofas were picked up as scheduled. since we're trying to save some $ and matching the seat cushion, there were not too many choices of fabric to choose from. and It was hard/expensive to find trims that matched original design of the sofa. Oscar's staff explained and talked me into just doing simple piping along the base and around all the pillows. the day before delivery I called to confirm (I was really worried they won't make it for my party scheduled day after delivery), then again the morning of delivery and late afternoon. they finally delivered around 5pm on delivery day, 2hrs after their closing time. the sofas looked really nice and the simple piping actually enhanced the seat cushions. we really like it. Oscar was very responsive via text. the staffs were all very helpful throughout the process. I would have given them 5-stars if I didn't have to be so nervous the last 2 days worrying they wouldn't make it.

I called Mike's and got a text from Ann within a day. She was patient and friendly and answered all my questions. She also asked me plenty of questions to narrow down exactly what I wanted and gave me options with prices, including advice since I was considering buying the fabric myself. I put it off for a few weeks and then at the last minute wanted to get it done a week before July 4th so we could host friends for a bbq. I texted her back and they (Ann and Tina) were incredibly kind and fit me into their tight schedule. They gave me a clear timeline and estimate, and were upfront about any additional costs that might come up. In my case, I wanted to reuse the foam and ended up paying a little extra to redo the dakron (buffer foam) but they gave me a heads up so I was prepared. I had one bench and four cushions redone. There was piping, zippers, and straps. And they were in pretty bad condition when I dropped them off. It was finished on time and it came out looking brand new! It looks so good. I'm so happy we went with them. The price they gave us was great and the workmanship was excellent. Tina even took time to meet me when I picked up the cushions to walk me through the work they did.
