I've been going here for quite a few years. Many years with the old owner, and now the new one. I've never had an experience there, that has or would cause me to feel negative about their service or services. The old owner was cool to me. Just as the current owner. I've watched different interactions with customers ahead of me, and some after me. There has never been inconsistencies with treatment of us. I don't know how this business doesn't have five stars! Every time I come in here, ZERO ISSUES. Sonny and the other young lady (I feel so ashamed for not remembering her name. She's so sweet and helpful) are extremely helpful and patient. They work with you to the best of their ability even when the store is busy. They go above and beyond and when there's an issue, they explain themselves instead of treating the customers poorly. They rates are cheaper here and it's so convenient! It really makes me sad to see that this place has a 2 star review. The reason it has a low review is because the former owner was TERRIBLE, and you cannot get these reviews removed once they've been posted (Yelp needs to fix this!). There is a post office literally right next to U-Post, and I won't go ANYWHERE else for my shipping needs than U-Post now. The staff is all so friendly and helpful, and when they found out I'm disabled, they went above and beyond to assist me with every single need I had, even down to wrapping a holiday gift for me. I've used their notary services, faxing, emailing, shipping...everything I would usually have to go several different places for. I encourage EVERYONE who has been to U-Post since it's changed owners to give them another chance and amend your reviews, because the service I receive is above and beyond anything I've ever had from a place like this. The staff is so kind and helpful, it feels like a big family. They're a local business, and are always asking their customers for feedback as to how they can make their services better. I don't have one negative thing to say about this store. The old owner was horrible, but the new ownership has definitely turned things around...and I won't go anywhere else for my shipping needs. This is what shopping local and supporting our local businesses SHOULD look like! As long as I live in Oceanside, I will never use another mailing outlet for my shipping needs. We are even going to rent one of their mailboxes, because unlike the post office, the address looks like a typical address...it doesn't say "PO Box" anywhere. Unless you really NEED to use FedEx or UPS, or maybe some shipping supplies, I wouldn't suggest coming here. They will sell you the most expensive option possible without telling you the lowest priced option. They are friendly enough, but I find the whole process to be slow and they play some really annoying background music. The post office is right across the way, I agree with the other reviewer, you're better off waiting in line there. read more

This store is great! Ladies and the gentlemen working at the front are helpful and warm! Convenient location (close to a post office, grocery store, Starbucks, etc). I came to buy a box and bubble wrap and ended up spending 9 dollars and change. Which is ridiculous, but I needed them asap. At Wal Mart I would have spent under 4 bucks. To ship something out here it's like 3 times more expensive then the Post office. The funny thing is that the Post office is just across the street, so just go there. We were mailbox customers here for 2.5 years and they were really great for most of that time. More recently we had noticed that our mail wasn't always being checked in by staff to the app we use to track deliveries. My wife called to enquire about a delivery and ended up in what the new manager, Meredith, described as an argument. Rather than resolve things as adults would, Meredith simply canceled our mailbox there immediately. We changed to another service right away, but in the meantime she has been returning (or possibly just disposing of?) items that were already on the way to this location. This is very unprofessional behavior that has clearly been carried out as an act of spite. If she really felt the need to cancel our subscription over such a frivolous matter she at least could have allowed us to collect items that were already being sent to that location. It is unfortunate that Upost decided to hire this new manager when they could have simply promoted Joe or Larry who were already employed there and do a fantastic job. read more

I first went to this location a few years ago to fax something related to work and now 2 years later, I use UPOST for all of my work faxing and shipping needs. Sonny(?) is the owner and though I do not often get to see him, he is very pleasant and nice to talk with. There are two other associates who are always there which I love; it gives it a small business feel. The prices are competitive and it is my go-to spot. Yes, the lines can be VERY long at times so go prepared to wait, so you can be surprised when you do not have to. read more

I paid over $70 to ship my package but then decided to request a refund and send my package through the post office (would arrive the same day) to find u-post over charged me $30. UPost failed to property pack a family heirloom -- a cut glass bowl -- and Fedex failed to deliver it in one piece. Even though I paid to have it insured for $300, the market value, Fedex paid me one third of that. A very disappointing experience. read more

Very helpful staff. I needed to get a passport picture done and I didn't know that was something U Post could do. So I went to CVS for my picture then was stopping at U Post to print out the paperwork. At CVS I waited in a long line (at 12 on a Tuesday) just to find out only one lady could do the photo. Took the lady a long time to figure out how to use the camera, than after about 30 mins in the store I got a picture so blurry you couldn't tell it was me. I went to U Post to print everything, then when the woman told me they do passport photos I showed her my CVS photo and as I expected she didn't think it would get approved. I did my passport photo with them for half the price of CVS and then was confirmed when I went for my passport that they wouldn't have accepted the blurry one. They saved me a lot of time on this as well as many times in the past sending out packages. read more

I went around 5:35pm Friday 10*04*19 and they close at 6pm. I went to get livescanned and when I had arrived the cashier was already counting out his register in front of another customer. The cashier didn't even acknowledge my existence. Then after about 10 min of me standing there he asks what I needed and when I told him I needed to be livescanned he said it takes 40 minutes to do and he stops doing them at 5pm. I've been livescanned before and it takes very few minutes. This employee was lazy and rude! I had called a few days before and was never told they stop doing them at 5pm. I will never return to this place simply because of that employee and this company lost out on $70 because of his laziness. read more

Shipper does not advise clients that there are fee's assessed by UPS or other carriers. Ended up with surprise fee's on the other end when sending internationally. UPS stated that this is the responsibility of the shipper and that they would be responsible. Owner of the store would not take responsibility even though UPS made it clear they were at fault. Go across the road to the US Post Office before dealing with the owner of this store. He is a CROOK. read more

On 11/26/2019, I went to this shop to make copies of 6 pages. I said to the girl, "Miss, pay attention this page is double-sided". The girl had exploded: "You are very rude to me!". I replied that this was normal business English but she kept yelling. When I needed to pay, I did not have cash, and the owner said I have to pay $5 instead of $1.30 if I use credit card. I suggested that I leave copies and bring $1.30 when I get cash. I stopped by in 15 min and handed cash. The girl ran after me and threw away cash. I picked up and said to give money to homeless. Indian owner also was yelling at me. That short visit to make 6 pages copies became a nightmare!!! If I could give "-5" to this shop, I would. Crazy people. read more

I usually look at yelp reviews not write them. In this case, I HAD to! The owner is the most rude person you'll ever meet; no customer service skills whatsoever! Not even a smile back and he teaches his employees to do the same. Twice I was there when he yelled at his own employees in front of the customers. Another time a guy standing in line in front me walked out and I did the same. Never do livescann fingerprints there either because he's so inconsistent with his pricing and when I called to tell him about it, instead of trying to make it up to me, he YELLED AT ME VER THE PHONE. We just received the worst customer service. Walked in with my husband to buy a box, there were 2 young girls behind the counter with the music blaring. There were no other customer in the store. One girl was doing something on the computer, the other girl was moving boxes around. I stood there with my husband for at least 3-4 minutes without anyone saying a word to us. They completely ignored us. So I asked "is someone going to help me?" So I picked my box and the girl went to go get it and while walking back she whispered something to the other girl and they both laughed. Then while ringing out, I asked to see the box to make sure my item would fit and instead of being professional and handing it to me, she pushed it across the counter to me without looking at me or saying a word. We will not be returning and I have a big business full of contacts and I will be advising them to stay clear of this store as well. So sad. read more

I don't understand why anyone would come to this place other than to avoid long lines at the post office. They have a majority of the same services the post office offers only their services are double the price. I sent my father out to ship a less than three pound package to Colorado for me earlier today. Apparently he didn't want to go to the post office 6 feet away and decided to go here to u post instead. He came back with the receipt and I almost had a heart attack when I saw what they charged. They charged him $28.00 ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!! Thankfully, I caught it right away and had him go back with me to get a refund. We then walked across the street and paid ten dollars to send it though the post office. Thats an 18 dollar saving for those of you who can't do the math :) Needless to say I won't be going back. My dad also, wants me to state that the price also included insurance but even so $28.00 is wayy too much money. I was going to mail out a box from the post office by Priority, but decided to check with this place to see other options. The amount he said confused me because it was double of what I checked at the USPS web site. I said to him I'd better using the flat rate box and ship it. Then he said it'll be cheaper doing it "as is" because the destination was within the state. Still puzzled but paid the higher postage and came home. When I checked the rating at Yelp, I finally got it. They were charging me double so I went back. I said to him that I thought their rate was same as the post office. I have taken my packages to ship to a different place but they have gone out of business. This U-Post is the closest to my work but I am willing to go out of my way in order to avoid this place. I used U Post today 6-15-17 to send a UPS letter w/no charge which is something different from the previous owner whom seemed to be a man with a job he didn't want. Excellent friendly service. The new management is a breath of fresh air. This location is across the street from mobile home park and I'm sure will help the neighborhood tremendously. read more
