When it comes to bakeries/delis, the Upper Crust is tops for me. Their tomato soup is to die for and I am not ashamed to admit that I use the bread they give you as a side to sop up every drop of it. Their sandwiches and paninis are also delicious and very big. I don't usually order dessert because I am usually stuffed after a sandwich and soup, but the things I have tried over the years have been heavenly to say the least. On my way to Van Buren Point with my girlfriend and we stopped in for a healthier dinner instead of fast food. Typical college/high school crowd which is to be expected. Didn't understand why at 6pm on a Friday there would only be 1 cashier/server and 1 cook. We ordered a panini, half a sandwich and a latte. There were about 12 or so people in the restaurant at the time and a few people in line. After we ordered our food to go, we waited 45 minutes. 1 1/2 sandwiches and a latte took 45 minutes. When we asked how much longer the cashier rudely said "yeah we're slammed" and walked away. Half of the people only had drinks and we ordered sandwiches, are they that hard to make? On a plus side, very good bread. Everything else was completely with little care and poorly done. Clearly they forgot about our order since the panini wasn't even warm and the bread was barely cooked or pressed. I'm glad we also got chocolate chip cookies so we had something while we waited 45 minutes. read more

Took my daughter to lunch on 4/19/19. As a resident of Fredonia we patronize this business often and have never experienced such disappoint. Both my daughter and I ordered the potato soup and half a turkey sandwich. First we requested no tomato, there was tomato. Ok we can over look that but when we went to remove it, we noticed the LACK of turkey on our sandwich's. Are you kidding me???? There was hardly , AND I MEAN HARDLY any turkey in our sandwich. It looks so delicious as it's presented but maybe if there wasn't "6" inches of bread and more turkey !!!!! So dissatisfied!!!! For the amount of money I certainly would expect a bit more turkey!!! It doesn't end there...., we both decided to have a cupcake to go. Well I think they were A FEW DAYS OLD because they were very hard and dry!!! Again $3 A PIECE for a dry crappy cupcake!!!! 2 sandwiches and soups = $30.00. Club sandwich was all bread and mayo. Potato soup was watery and bland. Would not return.

All their soups taste too sweet and seem to have sugar in them and their pricey salads are made with iceberg lettuce. They need an upgrade on healthy food items. I must say that their service is always great. read more

Loved this place in college and certainly believe that their soups and sandwiches are awesome but when I called to order their signature item - Potato Rolls - and was told they only do them on holidays I was crushed. If you have a product that people are willing to drive 3 hours for and get requests all the time for - why would you not do them....in fact, if memory serves me right, we paid premium price for them - and you know, I still would...Used to be 4 stars is now 3...... read more

Good food but they play the radio stupidly loud, not a relaxing atmosphere! It's difficult to have a conversation across the table.

Took forever to get a grill cheese sandwich!!!!!! Over 30 minutes. Last time we came they completely forgot our order.

Enjoyed my first meal at Upper Crust today for lunch! I had the 1/2 Mediterranean panini, which was very tasty: fried eggplant, artichoke, roasted red peppers, pesto, sundried tomato, and provolone! Was served with a small, but satisfying piece of seedless watermelon. I also purchased a cup of coffee and bag of chips. Service was good and there was plenty of room to sit. I enjoyed a table in the corner by the window. After I was finished eating, I took a glass of their complimentary cucumber water out in front and enjoyed the good weather in one of their adirondack chairs . Nice lunch! read more

I was vacationing in Van Buren Point and my friend and I went into Fredonia to check it out. We spotted the Upper Crust and decided to give it a try. The mushroom tomato soup was great but the turkey vegetable soup was divine!! I wish I had the recipe for this turkey vegetable soup so I could make it at home. read more
