Someone suggested this new find and I had to try it out. By just looking at the black linen napkins on photos I have seen, I figure this place will come with fringe benefits that I wouldn't encounter at Red Robin's or other tap and burger joints. It was middle of the day and had hard time finding the parking spaces. There were lot of cars. By the time made up to the 2nd floor, place was empty and I was quite puzzled to understand the lack of parking spaces. West Main Tap and Grill was closed at the time of visit. Menu offered variety of things to catch most taste buds. The slivers of potatoe fries or chips were interestingly good. Other than that, lacked consistency on presentation. Two same burger had missing items. Yes, if it was super busy, I will understand but. I was surprised to see 3 different kinds of fresh oysters on the menu which I passed. There are several things this restaurant is missing for the standard they want to implement. What standard you might ask? Its the $7 draft beer price. Not too many casual places charges that much at this time. It does come in a tall pilsner glasses but still at pint size. Details of standard I was referring to will be posted after the next visit. Yes, I will give 2nd chance. After all, hard to find good burgers around here. Ultimate burger (pattie, egg, bacon and bacon jam) plus draft will set you back mid $20. Wow what happened?? We got completely forgotten about, the table next to us even got up and left after sitting there with no service. Food was good but we had to flag someone down to refill our drinks because our server vanished. One person gave us our drinks, another person took our food order, another person delivered our food, and another person gave us refills. After we saw each of them once they never came back. Ended up paying in cash so we could get out. We were just hoping to enjoy the nice weather on the patio but ended up regretting our choice in restaurant. Perhaps just a bad night? Daniella, the bartender, was attentive, personable and made amazing cocktails. I went with my parents during happy hour. The service was PHENOMENAL! Our waiter was so kind and catered to our every need, including changing the channel to a different game than what was currently on and he did that right after I asked. He also gave us very honest opinions on what to order and not order which was great! We ordered the fried pickles, Bavarian pretzels, and another app that I believe was called jalapeño money bags. They were all fairly average in my opinion but my dad loved the jalapeño money bags. The restaurant is inside the hotel so it wasn't very busy even though it was a Friday night! It was fairly quiet and relaxing to chat and watch the sports games on tv. Lastly, they have a few different canned hard ciders to choose from which is always great to see some variety for a cider lover like me :) read more

I've been staying at the Ascent hotel for years. I stayed at the hotel last week for 5 nights and dined at the Douglas and the Upper Deck the first 4 nights. The only reason I gave above a one star review is because of Kelley. Kelley was absolutely fantastic the first three nights I ate there. She was extremely nice, friendly, accommodating, superb customer service, and made excellent drinks. She made me feel so welcomed and like we became true friends! Unfortunately I can't same the same for my experience Friday night at Upper Deck. I have dined all over the world at all sorts of restaurants and have never experienced such an awful night at a restaurant and poor behavior from a manager in my entire life. Service was slow, then they made our drinks wrong. Fine, totally understandable and it happens. They then made our drinks wrong for the 2nd time (ordered a dirty martini and the bartender simply poured vodka and tons of olive juice in a cup and handed it to us) and the manager on duty copped such an attitude with us saying "if you want a martini you need to tell us to shake it on ice". She then said "this bartender is new so give him a break". She never took ownership or said sorry, just blamed us. Then when our food came I took a bite into my burger and there was a plastic sheet in it. Photo attached for reference. At this point we figured they were messing with us intentionally! My brother went to find the manager inside and was told she would come out and talk to us about it. We waited for 27 minutes before she came out and she didn't even acknowledge the mistake! Just asked if we needed anything. I said are you serious, are you going to talk about what happened to my food? Never once did she apologize for this and once again had a huge attitude and said "that's just a cheese wrapper, it's normal. Calm down." I'm sorry, I'm pretty sure I ordered a cheese burger not a cheese wrapper! While we were waiting for the manager to come out and address the matter there was a table of 8 girls nearby who told us they just had a horrible experience as well. Their food took 40 minutes and came out completely wrong, the manager never came out to address it or get them the right food, so of course they ate what was in front of them because they were starving. Then when the manager finally came out she didn't apologize for anything or attempt to make anything right or compensate them for their errors, she simply said "looks to me like you liked your food since your plates are clean". Again, Kelley is one of the best servers/bartenders I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and I would have given this review 5 stars if it was solely based on her! The way the manager behaved, treated us, and spoke to us Friday night and her complete lack of ownership of her staff's problems and proceeding to blame the guests for the problems is completely unacceptable. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade and never experienced anything like this. When things go wrong you take ownership, apologize, and ultimately treat your guests with professionalism and respect. You do not have an attitude and blame them for the issues. This manager should be fired because she is severely impacting this restaurant's reputation and the guest's experience in a horrific way. Or she should go through intensive customer service training because there was not one moment of respect or kindness that we experienced with her. I feel so bad for the owner of this restaurant having someone like this on their staff detrimentally affecting their business. On Friday night I requested that the General Manager calls me about our experience. I left my cell phone number and was told he would be in on Monday and give me a call. I have yet to hear from anyone but would be happy to update this review if I do. Update: dropped this to 1 star because I still have not heard from the manager and it's been 3 weeks. read more

I debated between 2.5 and 3 stars, but am going with 3 for the benefit of the doubt. This is the new sports bar restaurant on the second level of the Laszlo Hotel in Parker. There are definitely kinks to be worked out. The tables are a little close together, so that the table behind me with kids kept bumping into us and touching our chairs. When I arrived at 5 on a Tuesday, I was seated right away for a 5:30 reservation, but it took 15 minutes to get water or anyone coming by at all, and 20 to get a drink order taken. When my dad arrived, it took another 15-20 minutes for anyone to come to take any order. Then another 10 to get the Diet Coke he ordered. The place was full and it seemed like there was only one waitress. She mentioned how they gave her all these tables and she apologized a few times. We both ordered the Ultimate Burger. The food was good, but not spectacular. The fries are between steak fries and chips and are tasty. The burger was good, but nothing special. It was cooked nicely, with a thick patty. Once the place cleared out a bit, the service improved. Also, it's COLD. I am rarely cold, but I was freezing, and everyone had their coats on. The other problem with this is that the food gets cold quickly, too. The music is good and they have lots of TVs and a good view. I'm hoping it improves! read more

We stopped in yesterday afternoon to chill on their patio. Our server was a great young lady who's birthday was yesterday also. This drinks were nice. We had the 2 summer cocktails. We ordered the wings from the menu. I'm not sure why restaurants feel the need to "fix". Things. Put a normal buffalo sauce or other things they had a honey mustard and some sauce that didn't appeal at all. read more

Great deck with tvs, cornhole, Connect 4, and other games. Good cocktails and the burgers are excellent. You could easily hang out on the patio during a summer evening or stay inside and watch a game while getting a few drinks from the bar. read more

The Upper Deck is top shelf! We live in SE Aurora and our restaurant options are few so we sought out something new the whole fam would like and discovered this restaurant. When we try a restaurant for the first time we do it up...we try the apps,the entrees,desserts and adult beverages. I wish it wasn't so windy and smoky outside so we could have sat on the deck outside because that looked fantastic. Fried pickles are yummy and different,the burgers were perfect and flat fries were delish! We enjoyed smoked old fashioneds ,sparkling rose, and other drinks from the bar-all really good. Don't skip dessert! This is where I was surprised, we tried them all and we even ate the orchid! Our server was fantastic and kept our "party" going as we munched and sipped away. Great burgers and cocktails! Brought the family, the kids burger is legit, chicken nuggets also pretty good (comparable to McDuck's). Excellent flat fries, and (seemingly) house made ranch dressing. Me: Smoked Old Fashioned, Grenade burger with side salad. Wife really enjoyed the poke bowl, and some honey-mint spritzer thingy. Friends and I tried out Upper Deck last weekend. They are still new and I'm sure still working out the kinks, which is why I have them a bit higher rating than I normally would for another established business. The space itself is pretty small but once the weather is nice they have a substantial deck to expand seating. The day we were it was very sunny and they don't yet have any sort of window treatments so we pretty much had to wear sunglasses the whole time. We were a bit disappointed that there were only two draft beers available with everything else in bottles or cans. They seem to have a basic cocktail and wine list. On the weekends they have a bloody mary/mimosa bar available. The food itself was decent. They have a variety of burger options with other sandwiches, soups and salads. My biggest complaint was my food was cold when I received it. At the length of time it took to come out I didn't want to wait again so I didn't sent it back. The biggest area of opportunity is around service. The were 7 tables with customers and three servers in addition to people who just were bringing out food. Everything from bringing a can of beer with a glass to our food took forever. They were overstaffed and still were slow. I think they have a great opportunity to be a good restaurant for Parker, but certainly have some bugs to work out before they get there. read more

This spot will definitely clench your burger cravings! The wife had the Merfs burger and it was amazing grilled onions, chili's, bacon, and avocado!! Super tasty on a grilled bun (sad I only had a bite of it). I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and it was absolutely amazing, breaded and cooked to perfection on one piece of Texas toast! My stomach is still on fire and I'm writing this review an hour later. The open deck area is really cool especially on a nice Colorado day! Keep it up guys I'll definitely be back! read more

Disappointed was the theme of the experience. The restaurant got my order incorrect, took 20 minutes to re-make, only to come out still wrong. The patio sliding door was half closed due to the cold weather and was not secured properly by the manager, almost hitting us in the head. There was no apology. No offer to correct or better the experience. On our way out, the manager made eye contact with our party and then swiftly entered into the employee entrance. We will not be back. read more

Really dropped the ball here several weeks ago. My fiancé and I came in for dinner one evening fairly early to find no one at the hostess stand, two completely different female servers, and a different bartender I'd never seen before. Wow I thought, another turn over of staff. While we were standing there waiting to be acknowledged, the two female servers walked by us several times up to the end of the bar next to us to pick up drinks without so much as a glance in our direction. No acknowledgment whatsoever. The restaurant wasn't busy either. Now mind you, when we have come in before, we've normally spent $70-80 dollars each time. When I'm spending that much for two meals, I expect customer service. Needless to say, we turned around and walked out. Please either keep your staff, or train them better to at least acknowledge people who come in, walking past us multiple times and ignoring us is unacceptable. I guess I'll cross another establishment off our list..... read more

7/4/2020 we visited this establishment. An upscale burger restaurant. Service was good. Food was astonishing. 3 in our group - Bavarian pretzel sticks and hummus crudites. Both delicious but pretzel sticks are wicked awesome. Merf's Grenade and house burger plus Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Chicken sandwich has quite a kick. Ordered grenade on the side for Merf burger and thankful. Quite potent. Spicy pickle fries. Yum! For a burger place, rather $$$. However, don't let price deter from visiting. It's great and we'll definitely return. read more

Decided to try it because it's new. All of the wine glasses, beer glasses, and water glasses are plastic. The table space is extremely small and the menus are huge with wood backings so there isn't any where to put them or stack them. They were training waiting staff when we went in so the service wasn't all that great. Burgers were good. But definitely not as nice a place as they are trying to be. The fact that they take reservations blows my mind. The takota tavern is still much better with a lot more space. read more

We went last night were the only people in the restaurant, we ordered the tacos as appetizer they came out dry, we were given multiple dirty plates, cups and silverware. We also ordered a burger, first time came out complete Rae still cold in the center. When it came back about 3 min later it was a hockey puck that was microwaved. Delicious food.. however I wish I was exaggerating when I said this, the male host did not look up from his phone for more than 30 seconds throughout the entire duration of our meal.
