Waiting…read moreto see how much more this adds to the already astronomical bill to get it back on the road. Knowing what I know now, it should have been junked and not put back on the road. I will continue with updates! 8/4/26 UPDATE: The mechanic found other areas that were spray painted over to cover rust. Getting attorney involved now. 7/30/26 UPDATE: Now they found the brake lines leaking and that they were rusted and had been painted over to cover the rust. 7/29/26 UPDATE: Now they have to replace the exhaust manifold due to rust. They had to cut it out as metal was so thin from rust. This business works with a mechanic right next to them. They are the ones that did the state inspection. I would think that this mechanic had awareness of the issues with this vehicle, don't you think?? This vehicle should have been junked and not sold to anyone. We were taken advantage of for sure. Will continue to add to this review as this case progresses through the legal channels. 7/22 Update: mechanics that are replacing engine found "insane amount of rust" underneath entire vehicle. -------------- 6/1/26 Picked up vehicle from Unlimited Auto Sales, and within 10 minutes the "Brake" light came on. Brought the vehicle back and they filled up the brake fluid and the light went off. 6/3/26: The "Check Engine" Light came on. Drove to the dealership and they ran a diagnostic ("evap") and reset the "Check Engine Light. They said if it happens again to bring it back. 6/5/26: "Check Engine Light" came on again. Called dealership and made an appointment to bring it back on Monday, 6/8. 6/8/26: Appointment: They replaced one piece in the engine that they said was causing this alert. They reset the "Check Engine" light, and told us there is another similar piece that can cause this alert, and if it happens again, the other piece in the engine would need to be replaced. 6/10 "Brake" light comes on again. 6/15/26: Heard a clicking noise. Then it got louder, and vehicle seemed to be losing power. Pulled over and the engine stopped, and then it started to smoke. The vehicle was towed to AAA and they said we need a new engine. They said they do not do "internal engine work" and that we should have it towed somewhere else to have them investigate it further. We had it towed to another shop for evaluation. 6/17/26: Finding: Dried coolant along passenger side of engine bay up to the cowl and down to the bottom of the passenger side radiator. Evidence of head gasket sealant built up within the cooling system. Evidence of high pressure steam wearing away the plastic under the radiator cap, and the subsequent steam pressure escape path wearing a hole through to the outside of the coolant filler neck. Pressure tests on bank 1: 90psi, 60psi, 90psi, Bank 2: 90psi, 60psi, 80psi. Expected values should be around 145-189psi. When attempting to start vehicle while radiator cap is off, plumes of exhaust smoke exit the radiator fill neck. Technician believes that the head gaskets on both banks have failed, the engine and entire cooling system will need to be replaced. So we had it exactly two weeks, and it now needs a new engine. We are reasonable people and would like a resolution. Is now with Consumer Protection Division of the Maryland Attorney Generals Office.

I get there and Ask a gentleman working on a vehicle, he says go ahead enter the gates and park behind the Jeep. I do that. Just after I park, a a big fat lady comes out of the office and says you can't park here. Go head and go outside of the car lot (off the business property) and park on the street. There is no street parking, this company is in a commerical/ industrial area where there is a lot of warehouses. Luckily, I park next to a giant ditch. just after I park my car, a semi comes and asks me to move the car because he needs more space to back up into a loading dock. So I move my car again. Walk back down into the "Red Tag center" and i'm greeted by a salesman who sounds like the same guy who answered the phone earlier. He was a easy going guy but the way he was talking and looking appeared as if he was contemplating suicide. Anyway, It was a long drive for me, I ask him for the bathroom. I enter the bathroom, it smells like Big Foots Anus in the bathroom. The bathroom door does not lock. There are two stalls, one says lady other says man (in same bathroom). Man side doesn't have any toilet paper and stall door doesn't lock. I decide better to hold and pray. Anyway, I get outside the bathroom and I see the car. I approach it. It does not appear to be in same condition as shown in pictures. Things are worn out, plastics are heavily scratched, one or two of side blinkers is broken... And biggest thing - It turns out to be a Manual transmission? Website says "automatic". By the way I saw the ad on craigslist. I load up craigslist ad, it also says automatic. I don't want another manual car. I loved them when I was 15 to 18. Now i'm 28, I just want an automatic. Nothing wrong with a manual, but no one else will be able to drive it in my family. Only me. Salesman shrugs and says oh well. Doesn't offer apology. So I looked at a few other cars .... they have like 3 sadans/sports cars in the entire lot. Rest are just trucks. I already have a new truck. I was looking for a weekend sedan or coupe. Anyway I leave without making a deal. I drove hour and half. By the time I began to head back it was 3:30 or 4. Traffic! It took me 2 and half hours to get back home. Defiantly not worth it. Would not recommend. No customer service, no apology. Car is still labeled as automatic on the website.

1 star and that's being generous…read more My husband and I purchased a used 2019 Chevy Suburban from this dealership and it has been nothing but a nightmare. Within a very short time, it became obvious the transmission was failing hard shifting, slipping, warning signs that don't just appear overnight. What's most frustrating is that this feels conveniently undisclosed. There is no way a dealership "inspects" a vehicle and misses such a major issue, especially one this serious and expensive. It's hard not to believe this problem was known and intentionally hidden just to make the sale. We know that it was intentional because whoever they had make the makeshift repairs to seal the deal, left a used rag in the transmission pan. Yes, you read that correctly, they left a rag in the transmission pan that they'll surely claim they knew nothing about. A transmission repair on a vehicle like this is thousands of dollars, and buyers should not be left holding the bag because a dealership chose profit over honesty. We thankfully had a warranty through our credit union and was able to get the vehicle repaired. We have already drafted a letter to the credit union that they need to be removed from the trusted sellers list. If you're considering buying from here, get an independent inspection first or better yet, save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. I regret trusting this dealership and would never recommend them.

I recently had service done at Marlboro Tire and Automotive twice. My first experience was good…read more During the last week of April they replaced the starter on my 2021 Kia Telluride, and everything seemed fine at the time. However, when I picked the vehicle up, I noticed an issue with my parking sensor that had never happened prior to the service. I made another appointment to have that checked out along with several other issues I already knew needed attention -- a wheel bearing, a check engine light, and a transmission issue. I dropped the car off on Sunday, May 17th. They called me Monday and explained that the parking sensor issue was unrelated to the starter replacement, which I accepted. They also said the transmission issue would need to be handled by the dealership. The check engine light turned out to be caused by the evap vent valve being disconnected from the evap canister, and they reconnected it. Total cost was $160. I stopped by a little after 3 PM to pay and pick up the keys, but told them I would return later that evening to actually take the vehicle home. When I came back at 9:55 PM, the first thing I noticed was that the vehicle was unlocked because the mirrors were folded out. On my Telluride, the mirrors automatically fold in when the car is locked. When I opened the door, the dashboard was lit up and the radio was on. Once I sat down, I realized the vehicle was actually still running. My car's drive information automatically resets if the vehicle has been off for four hours. The dash showed the vehicle had been running for 9 hours and 30 minutes, had been driven 16.7 miles, and was averaging 4.5 MPG. I took a picture at 9:58 PM. Honestly, I wasn't even angry at first -- I was more shocked than anything and was actually laughing about it when I told my wife. Mistakes happen. The problem came the next morning when I returned to let them know what happened and showed them the picture. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, they immediately denied it and insisted there must have been some kind of malfunction because they "could not have made that mistake." I initially spoke with the two women behind the counter, but then a man came out from the office and asked what I wanted. I told him I felt they should at least refund the $160 service charge or compensate me for the gas burned while my car sat idling all day. He refused both. We went back and forth for several minutes. I explained that up until that moment I had actually been happy with their service and thought I had found a repair shop I could continue using. I told him the issue wasn't the mistake itself -- it was the refusal to take responsibility for it. I also explained that if he had simply apologized and made some effort to make it right, I probably would have laughed about it later and continued bringing my vehicle there. Instead, I was treated as if I was making the whole thing up despite having photographic evidence. When I told him that my only remaining option was to leave an honest review online about my experience, he accused me of threatening him. I told him it wasn't a threat -- I simply intended to describe exactly what happened. To make matters even more frustrating, when I later attempted to leave a review on their website, I was required to enter my invoice number, last name, first name, invoice total, and service date to verify my visit. After entering all of the correct information directly from my invoice, I received an error message saying the information did not match their system records. I can't say for certain what caused that, but it certainly gave the impression that I was being prevented from leaving a review through their website. Again, mistakes happen. What matters is how a business responds when they do. Unfortunately, their response completely changed my opinion of this shop.

Great service and quality at Marlboro Tire and Automotive!…read more I needed to get my tires repaired/replaced and found this that this shop was just a few minutes from my house. It was after hours, so I filled out an online drop off form and left my car and key outside the facility. Really convenient to be able to drop the car off during non business hours so that service can begin bright and early the next day. The next day, the staff called me with more information about my issue and a recommended set of repairs. I appreciate the honest advice and information that Christine provided, she helped me make a couple of decisions about the work to be completed to the car. The shop was able to order the parts I needed and install them within 2 days - appreciate the pretty quick service. The prices are fair and the staff was really friendly and helpful - would definitely bring my car here again for a service if needed. No wonder they've been in business for 30+ years.
