This is honestly one of the worst places in the world. The wait time rivals that of your local DMV. I've never seen people with less urgency. Frankly I was appalled. I hope I never have to come back here. I wasted two hours of my life to get my package, thanks to either T-Mobile (another horrible company) or UPS messing up my home address. Long story short I paid for overnight shipping and I messed up on the address. Although the 800 customer service number sucked when I came in on Saturday the gentlemen there were super helpful. I honestly didn't think they were going to find my packages because the website said they weren't ready and I never got a call back after I had called 4 times on Friday. Anyway I was literally in and out in like 5min! These guys saved my day! Wow i have read some of the reviews this place has got. I guess I came out unscathed. I probably ship one package a year up north and I've never had a problem. The customer service was great at least the lady who helped me was can't speak for the others. It may depend what time you come as well. I showed up a little after 1:00 and was in n out. Was not till I mentioned how quiet it was when people started rolling in. The one thing that took a while was the kiosk where you fill out your delivery info. In the tracking details, they estimated the delivery to be around 3 PM, and with that the driver attempted to drop the package around 10 AM!!!! I had an important package to pick up here. When I got an email letting me know that it was ready for pickup I went there right before they closed. After waiting for 30 minutes, they told me they could not find the package at this time and to give them a day to look for it. Next day early morning they gave me a call to let me know they found the package and that I could come in early before they opened because of the inconvenience. Overall it was a good experience, they showed they cared about getting my package to me as soon as they could with the inconvenience in place. read more

I ordered something next day air and I spoke to 3 different supervisor all saying how sorry they are and that the driver came on 3 occasion 1st time no note (obviously never came) 2nd time left note even after I left instructions to leave package at the door and 3rd time left note and apparently it was drivers discretion NOT to leave at my door. I live in a safe neighborhood. Wtf I left specific instructions. All 3 supervisor promised to call back with a solution and never did hence why I spoke to 3. My current situation: Waiting in line here for the 2nd day in a row. Never had I have so much drama with a shipping company. I will avoid AVOID using UPS as much as possible from this point forward. This all began on Dec 2nd, Wednesday. I was waiting for an expedited package for a client that was "Out For Delivery" according to their tracking website. I use a mailbox service so someone is there at all times to receive a package so I don't miss one. So Wed, 4pm I pass by my mailbox to inquire on my package because the tracking status still says "Out For Delivery" (because who knows if these things are in real-time). Anyways the clerks tells me that UPS already came and left for the day and that there were 2 packages they couldn't find on their truck. Ok, no big deal, I'll just get it the next day. So Thurs, Dec 3rd came and went. Same shit. My package is still "Out For Delivery" and never got delivered. UPS dropped off all their packages they had to my mailbox, but mine wasn't there. I called their "outsourced to India" customer service at about 5pm to inquire about a location pickup since their pickup center was open for another 4 hours. No, they can't do that, they said. Had to go the next day. Ok, I'm pissed at this point and so is my client who the package is for. I mean how hard is it to move a package that should be in a particular truck to the lobby of the pickup center? It's not rocket science or brain surgery. That is just plain laziness. The next day, Friday, I go to their pickup location. I waited about 30 minutes in line. There was only about 8 people in front of me and 3 clerks. They are f'n slow here! And on top of that, THEY CAN'T FIND MY PACKAGE!!!! I already waited 30 mins and they want me to wait another 30 while someone "looks" for it. WTF. I couldn't wait another 30 because I have appointments to tend to. So here I am early on a Saturday morning just to get a package that should've been delivered 4 days ago. There's about 40 people in line and 2 clerks to tend to them. Ummm, it's the holidays... You know, maybe, just maybe it might be busier... Either they got a shit for brains staffing/schedule manager or UPS really doesn't give a shit about customer service. I got here at 10am (opening time), there were about 7 - 10 people ahead of me. An hour later, there's still 3 people ahead of me. Slow shit service here... Funny thing is that half the people in front of me apparently didn't get their package and mutter some curse words on their way out as they passed me. UPS = U Piece of Shit. I would give this location negative stars if i could! First of all, it did not indicate the estimate time of delivery(only the date was shown) ahead of time, so of course the deliveryman would miss the person! Second, I totally did not hear anyone calling outside of my door or getting anyone's attention and I wonder if the deliveryman just stay outside for less than 10 seconds then left me the notification note.(Hey I empty my schedule expect this package!Can't you at least try to reach us!? ) Then I called the customer service(the 1800 number) and the representative told me that the store person would call me regarding the pickup time and location. So I have a package being delivered that was supposed to be here yesterday (Friday). It comes Thursday, at 7pm which is very unusual. They leave a note and bye. Friday, they come at 6pm, don't even knock on the door or ring the doorbell, leave a note. I can hear the truck leaving and immediately run outside and try to chase it down. No use. Today (Saturday) I call ups to try to pick it up myself and they tell me I am unable to pick it up because it is off site and now have to wait till Tuesday because it's Memorial Day weekend. This business is horrible and needs to be looked at from higher up because obviously I'm not the only one who is experiencing horrible issues from this establishment. i drove over an hour from Burbank to Baldwin Park to pick up my package, only to be told by security that I couldn't come in because the center closed at 6:00pm. It was literally 6:01p and he had just let some other woman in not less than :30 before as I was pulling into the parking lot. I tried explaining to him that I have been driving for over an hour and got stuck in traffic and asked him nicely to let me in. He didn't care. It is utterly ridiculous that they close at 6:00pm during the week. He said that they reopen at 7:00pm and I was welcome to wait. Oh really?! I live in Pasadena. I'm not gonna sit around and wait for the staff to finish their lunch break (that's why they close down, so the entire staff can go on dinner break at the same time!) just to pick up my package, which should have been delivered to my house last week in the first place. Now, I have to take time out of my day off on Saturday to drive back down to Baldwin Park to get my package. UPS takes care of their employees, which is great, but at the expense of their customers, which totally stinks. Whenever I have the choice, I'm choosing FedEx from here on out. UPS really dampened my evening by making me drive all the way to Baldwin Park the day before Thanksgiving. They left a note at my door stating that they will return between the hours of 2-5pm so I left work early to wait for the driver and get my valuable package. When I got home at 12:30pm, there was another note on the door stating that they have come and gone already. When I called their 1-800 number, they couldn't get a hold of the driver which is call BS on and apologized for the fact that the drivers helper left a note stating that they will redeliver on a Friday because that was inaccurate. So this entire ordeal cost me 1.5 hours of my life, time off work and gas to get to Baldwin Park where I stood in line for 30 minutes at 9pm. read more

I have no idea why this place has such horrible reviews. Due to my addiction to online shopping (hello Amazon!!!), I'm always here returning package and I've never spent more than 5-10 minutes here. Usually there's only 1 or 2 people ahead of me so I'm in and out rather quickly. The guys who work here are awesome and are always friendly and courteous. The last time I had some things I needed to return but didn't have a box and went in prepared to pay for one. The gentleman who helped me got a used box from the back, took off all the old labels and using a box cutting knife, he made me a custom box to fit all the items. If I could I would give negative stars. This review is mainly aimed towards the 'RIO HONDO' District UPS Management located in this building. I called in on 5/21 at 2:13 telling the facility to hold my package and that I would be picking it up 7:30 that nigh., On arrival, I waited 20 minutes to be told that my package was not where it was supposed to be and that the driver had placed it in a trailer for delivery tomorrow, and that I should call in to talk with the "manager" *side note*. The UPS regulations state that after a failed attempt on delivery, the driver is supposed to leave a tag stating that he attempted to deliver the package. One was not placed on my door. I called the day after to talk to the manager about how incompetent his driver was. Not only was the "Manager" rude, but he seemed disinterested with what I was trying to tell him. That "managerial" title given to him is a joke. I was told that I was in the wrong for trying to call out his driver and then refused to help me with any of the problems his driver created. All in all, this has been one of THE worst experiences with UPS I've ever had. read more

I see why all the negative reviews now lol. I'm glad I read Yelp before going in so I wasn't surprised by the rude behavior. It's hit or miss here and I got both. This shipping center behaves as if it's a government organization - they need to remember that they're for-profit. Since we're not supposed to shout out by name or anything, I'll try to be as vague as possible - the middle-aged woman is the worst. Although one worker said, "she'll help you," this lady spent 5 minutes slowly switching out her chair before even noticing me standing there. Then she had no idea what I was talking about with the computer system and gave a lot of attitude. The other worker, also somewhat middle-aged male, knew a little more but did a lot of eye-rolling. What are you, twelve-years-old? Luckily, by the time everything was squared away, the final worker was this super friendly middle-aged Mexican dude who was helpful and smiley and had a great attitude. I don't know how the heck you can say the street number address is wrong when the package has all the information right there! I never had a problem with my packages being delivered until now. I was tracking my package online and the status said that the street number was incorrect and requested that the receiver give them the right shipping information. When I called the customer service to ask what the problem was, they said that the street address I provided over the phone is exactly the same as the shipping address. I was so confused WHY it said it was incorrect in the first place. I asked if they can deliver it to my house the next day, the guy said he can leave a notice for this local facility to see if they can do so. When I received a call from the facility, the lady at the other end sounded like she REALLY didn't want to deliver it and kept encouraging that I go pick it up myself. I ended up saying fine, I'll go pick it up. I arrived at 6pm at the facility and they said they were closed and were not letting anyone in until 7pm. Understandable, you guys deserve an hour break. I waited an hour in my car until they opened and went to go pick up the package. The guy at the counter was very nice and was conversing with me but I felt kinda weirded out a little at the way he was talking to me (asking what was my sign and because I am X and X, I have a sweet side and vicious side and he hopes he never gets on my bad side. UH.) but that was just me. I was finally able to get my package after a 5 minute wait and went home. I checked my package and it had the correct address on it. Yelp should have negative stars... We got our items at the store and had them shipped to our house. I was emailed a tracking number by the store, so I was able to find out our package was arriving on a Monday. Because we had shit to do, we missed the delivery, had the note on our door saying they will re-deliver on the next business day by 1pm. It's now the next business day, 230pm. I check the tracking again. The damn package is now heading back to the sender! "The receiver states the product was not ordered and has refused the delivery. / The package will be returned to the sender." How can I refuse a package that 1) I've been expecting, and most especially 2) never even came to my house at all for re-delivery today!?!?! I haven't opened my door and saw UPS, nor saw a note stuck on my door, I haven't left the house all day and thanks to my newborn I've been awake since 530am. UGH!!! So I basically yelled at customer service over the phone and guess what... they can't do anything about it because the packages are already on their way back to the fucking sender! All they can tell me is to call the sender and see what they can do. I call the sender, and as nice as their customer service was, they unfortunately cannot ship me the same item until they receive the ones going back to them. They did tell me to call within 24 hours if I wanna find out if they've received the package and once they do, they'll overnight it back to me because of the inconvenience. If I could rate no stars or negative I definitely would. Getting a package from them was like pulling teeth. So first mistake is the driver "attempted" to deliver my package on the arrival date. I say "attempted" loosely as they never even tried to use the call box to have the gate opened. I realize that the delivery driver logged an attempt about two hours later. The most frustrating part is that I was home all day so if they actually tried to deliver the package I would have definitely gotten it. So two hours later, I call UPS to hopefully have a chance to still receive my package(which was badly needed). I get in touch with customer service and they tell me that someone would reach out to me about a time to pick up my package. They also told me that I would be able to pick it up that day. Well next mistake was telling me I would be able to pick it up the same day. There was no possibility of that, as the place that I would need pick it up closes at Noon!!! Really 8am-12pm???? What kind of hours are those. Why isn't your customer service informed about that kind of stuff. 3rd mistake being spoken to rudely by a supervisor when I'm just trying to rectify their mistake. They have terrible customer service. I waited at home all day for my package to arrive, but nothing came. I first contacted UPS through live chat, and I was told to call this location. I called and had to wait about 15 minutes until someone was available to speak with me. I told the employee about my problem and she said she'll check what's going on and will call me back in an hour. I wait for 2 hours later, and no one called me. So I call again, and a different employee picks up. I also tell her about my problem. Just like the other lady, she says she'll check what's going on, and will call me back the next day. And the next day.... I don't receive a call either. I have to call them again and again, and they still haven't been able to help me with anything. They try to sound nice on the phone by saying sorry for the problem, but they don't do anything to show that they are sorry. read more

i missed the first delivery attempt on 02/03 because i wasn't home, i tried to reschedule the delivery date online, you either have to pay $20 to do so, or join their premium my choice membership for $20, which gives you free delivery date changes, which i did join this membership and paid and requested the new delivery date to 02/05, it went through, $20 charge from UPS was reflected on my credit card, now on 02/06, according to UPS rep, there was NO delivery attempt made on 02/05, i get it, its the weather condition, fine.. but now the package is held for delivery, new delivery date TBA,.... what???? I checked my credit card, there was another $20 charge from UPS on 02/06 that i have no idea what its for. i call the 1800 number, they told me it was me that requested the package to be held... what?? but he said he sees my request for the package to be deliver on 02/05.. who in the right mind will pay $20 to change the delivery date to 02/05, and then call to have them to hold the package on 02/06..... why don't i just change the delivery date to a further future date for the $20 i spent in the very beginning.... now the 1800 rep can't do anything about it but to send an report to the local stations, and i should expect a call back in an hours or so, two hour + later, no one calls, i call the 800 number again.. now i am being accuse of missing the phone call when they tried to call???? and tells me i can't even call the number back because their telephone line is only for out going.... what are you talking about...... I can't complain about UPS. Odd as it is to give Brown 5 stars, I can't recall a single botched delivery, barring the sellers failure to pack things properly. Yes, I've had dented boxes but nothing resembling a bear mauling a car with Bieber in it. A small few have been dented, but most makes it through unscathed. And even the ones that have been dented have mostly been packages where they decide to put paperclips in a huge box. Their tracking is competent, unlike USPS, and a delivery date that has to this date been 100% accurate (otherwise I can't recall any false ones). Anything shipping from California has arrived here within one day and everything else in a timely manner. Take for example, my latest package shipped via FedEx: Shipped from Ontario, arriving on 08/31/2011. Today is the 29th, why does it take two days to ship from Ontario, CA (which, btw, is only 40 minutes away)? I realize it says 2 day shipping, but that doesn't mean it can't be less... Or their tracking is inaccurate, in which case, UPS wins again. Oh and UPS also means that if I ever miss a package, I drive to baldwin park not some stupid ugly warehouse in the middle of nowhere LA for FedEx. read more
