As I have read a few reviews, I have similar issues. This is NOT for the Indy UPS store but UPS as a whole. I ordered something and then found it wouldn't work for my application. I tired to stop the order but it had already been proceed. I was told to just refuse the order when it comes. I tired to have UPS "return to sender" using the application and calling UPS. They said I would have to wait until it was delivered to refuse it. I tired to do "refuse" proactively because I knew I would be at home to refuse and it would be dropped off. It was dropped off and I took it the UPS store; I was told I need to take it the main facility since I didn't have a return shipper label. So now I had to take it to another place! I have been tracking a one of a kind international package for over a week. I even had a representative in Indianapolis call me to say he was on it and gave me his personal office number, NOT the general 800 number. Four days later, package is still lost and when I called the number he gave me it is a recording saying it is NOT a working number and to call the 800 number. I have talked to Customer Service about placement of deliveries. i was assured she put a note for all driver's would see. Today I received a 20# package, it was as far as you could put it from where I requested. Hopefully companies will see this and stop using UPS and go with another carrier who cares about their customers! read more

terrible customer service. if you are not home when they decide to deliver, there is no way to receive a package if it requires an adult signature. especially if it is a gift, and you don't know it's coming. their agents just make everything your problem. stick with FEDEX read more

The customer counter had hours posted 8am to 3pm m-f the first time I went there. The next day hours changed to 8am-10am m-f....the next day I went there at 9:45 and they were closed. The day after that I went at 8:30 and they were closed! In the meantime I can't get past the phone tree chick to speak to a live person for 2 days. Then I file a claim on my lost package that has been in "processing " stays for 20 days and they open an investigation and close it the next day because "they need more info" I guess college graduation announcements for the twins just aren't meant to be...they already got robbed of HS graduation in 2020 because of Covid and now commencement may be canceled due to Palestine protests....oh well, maybe their next milestone will be worthy! Update: the people working at this center are really nice. They were able to see that it was someone from the out of country call center that put my package on hold. They said it happens a lot unfortunately. After my delivery driver yesterday wasn't able to follow my delivery instructions, I spent most of the day attempting to get into contact with the facility to give more instructions so that it could be properly delivered. I managed to be at my apartment when the delivery driver came today, but he didn't have my package. I was a little concerned but thought it might just come later. I went ahead and checked online to see if it was delivered yet only to find out that someone from UPS marked my delivery to be held so that I can pick it up. This was not what I wanted at all. I am so upset that UPS AGAIN could not follow instructions and decided to do something I did not wish. Now I have to go out of my way to pick up my package that should have been delivered yesterday. read more

This review is only about the UPS Customer Center. Not delivery drivers, etc. because that is a whole another review. I have been going to the Customer Center since the 90s. I always have great experiences when I go and the employees know me well. I will not list out their names here but they are just plain awesome especially if you have a moment to get to know them. I usually set my packages to be held at the UPS Customer Center in the the UPS app and wait for confirmation that the package is being held for pick up. Then I go the next day because traffic can be heavy during morning and evening rush hour since the UPS Customer Center is conveniently located near downtown Indy. I think part of the reason that some experience issues with their packages not being at the Customer Center when they make arrangements is the way the UPS system is. When the package is set for pick up at the center, the center employees have to physically drive over to the main facility to pick up the package. The last scan occurs at the main facility and that is what is updated in the app, etc. It would be nice if UPS changed this process by having a main facility employee deliver the packages to the customer center and scan the package again to update the system that the package has been delivered to the customer center. They do not have enough center employees to do this task but they sure have hundreds at the main facility and it would be a great designated job for someone over at the main facility. To avoid this situation because I have encountered my package not being at the Customer Center and had to wait about an hour (which I went to get breakfast during this time so it was not inconvenient) I contact the center to ask the awesome staff if they have my package in their back store room. Here's a big tip to help you avoid not having your package at the center: The center employees usually pick up packages from the main facility around 9:00 am EST daily. So if you show up before 9:00 am EST your package may not be at the center since the main facility employees do not drop packages off over of there. There may be an occasional situation where a driver will take your package over to the center if the request for pick up is process through the UPS system at the right time, but this may not always happen. Here is another big tip: If you request a previously attempted for delivery package to be held for pick up, and your driver has already parked their truck for the evening at the main facility and left, your request for pick up cannot be processed until the next morning when the driver comes in. This is probably what factors into the center employees not going over to pick up packages until 9:00 am EST since the drivers have to get an update before they go out for the day of what package changes have been made in the UPS system overnight. read more

Love the people here. I've been coming here so long to pick up packages that they even remembered my wedding anniversary to the day -- and, when I was engaged, badgered me until I brought my fiance in to meet the crew LOL. I had a few delivery hiccups after my long-term driver changed routes (waaah) and the staff there took care of it all right away. They are open on Saturdays, but only for pickup and only from 10-1. If you fill out the delivery change form online on a Friday, be sure to indicate that you want Saturday pick-up; otherwise you'll have to wait until Monday. read more

I do not want to even leave a star for UPS, I have tried to get a package for a week. I have called three days in a row, tried to get things changed online, and contacted cartons and crates I shipped wine I purchased through. After having it noted to be delivered after 6pm by two different UPS employees I have yet to have a delivery attempt after 5pm. I really hate leaving bad reviews, but I am livid! Would rather have paid an extra $200 to bring on the plane than stress that UPS broke my wine or lost my package. read more

In the past two weeks I've received two packages damaged by UPS. One was a stove that left broken glass on my kitchen floor. Today, my daughter's 3rd birthday present wasn't delivered on the day it was promised because the driver couldn't find our house even though UPS had delivered to our home twice in the last week. These orders were all sent by amazon. I've requested that they stop sending packages that require this UPS to deliver them. Horrible experience! I'm now waiting at the depot for my package, which was promised to be held here 30 minutes ago. No one can find it. read more

I don't often need to ship things. One thing I do not like about the UPS drop off locations at individual retailers is they can't provide a receipt for pre-printed labels already paid for (typically returns) (or at least not the one at Fusek). This customer service center does provide receipts. Ample parking and I don't ever remember having to wait in a line. read more

This is the best UPS location in the city. The staff here are so friendly, and very accommodating. I've watched them help customers with some of the strangest sized and shaped packages- and they do it with a smile. They love their job, and are very good at it. Had to have a package directed to the Customer Center in Indianapolis after trying unsuccessfully for several hours to have the delivery date changed. The customer service agent was rude and unhelpful. Finally told me I could have the package delivered to the Customer Center. I looked it up - no direct phone number, no email, no posted hours. I ordered a pair of shoes from finish line and i get an update that it has been delivered but few mins later i get a message from an unknown person stating my package was delivered to there address.... this is ridculous i went and picked the package up from that location and on the address states my address then written in black marker it has another address where it was dropped off. read more

I'm a foreign and I need to figure where my package is stocked, so my friend can pick it up. I called this Minneapolis UPS store (#2175) which the woman on the phone was so sweet and helpfull. She gave me another address, and I got the telephone number to make sure that my friend can go to the right place to pick up the package. but the guy on the phone knew I could not speak or understand english very well, and he spoke as fast as he could, without patience to help me. Because the guy on the phone didn't help me, I THINK that this is the place my friend will find my package, and I HOPE he doesn't miss the trip to pick it up. This is the worst customer center I've ever encountered. In no way did the employees attempt to satisfy my fiancé and I after missing delivery times because of our work schedules. After we requested to have it held at the customer center, we received a notification to pick it up that night. When we arrived at the location, the package wasn't there. After waiting in the lot for 30 minutes, the packaged arrived 15 minutes before they're closing time. I dislike UPS strongly after this experience. read more

awful service it seems the driver's have the choice to leave your item at the door or try to deliver it later. i'll spend all evening looking for the item they tried to deliver even after a note was left on the door ( yes he had to see it as he put the ups tag right beside it ) and the company which shipped the item left instructions for the item to be left at the door ..... really millions of americans out of work and one with a job that's just to stupid to follow directions ..... read more
