I had the same experience as Alice B. I ordered a sign that arrived in Norwood on March 2. The status said "delayed due to weather", which was fine, but by March 23, there was still no delivery. The snow had completely melted. I called UPS, and after a lot of teeth-pulling, they said that they had no estimated delivery. I offered to come in myself to pick up the package, but they said that they had lost track of it and that I should ask for refund. Something seems very wrong. read more

I will avoid Ups at all cost!!!! I almost always do my online shopping through Amazon but I ordered through target because they had a better price never had a much of problem with either places delivery but yesterday my package came through Norwood Ups and the box was delivered opened with only the ipad box inside no ipad. I can see on my ring camera the driver delivering the package holding it by one of the flaps this is unacceptable. I was forced to come to this forsaken location (over 11 miles from my home) through Uber (over $25 dollars) to pick up my package. I imagine my package was the cardboard box equivalent to roadkill. I can not believe the incompetence at this center and the disconnect between them and their national branch. I had rented a dress for an event and scheduled its delivery for two days before the event and made sure a signature was not required for delivery because, you know, people work during the day. First day - my dress wasn't delivered because they wanted a signature and would try the next day. Annoying, but fine. Next day, I get home early to be there for the delivery, and they did not leave the package again - AND did not deliver to my local access point per usual. So I call customer service and arrange to pick it up, great! But NO. The woman on the phone at the local branch dismissively told me that my dress was on the truck and wouldn't be back in time for pickup but she would schedule it for delivery the next day. You can guess where this is going. We ordered medicine for our very elderly cat from Angell Memorial Hospital (MSPCA) in Jamaica Plain MA 02130 on Thursday June 4. It was processed through Norwood UPS on Friday June 5. I received a message on Saturday morning June 6, that package would be delivered by the end of the day. I was happy to think the medicine would be delivered so quickly because we we running out of his daily dose. BUT NO DELIVERY Sunday morning June 7, I received a message from UPS that due to some emergency situation or bad weather, delivery was delayed and was then scheduled for delivery for the next business day. Monday am message says it was out for delivery. NO DELIVERY Tuesday morning message: EMERGENCY SITUATION OR SEVERE WEATHER CONDITION HAS DELAYED DELIVERY UNTIL THE END OF THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY. (which would be Wed) A bit later this morning I received another tracking message that it was out for delivery once again by end of TODAY Tuesday possibly as late as 9 pm. Could not get through to anyone by phone and computer chat with virtual assistant was completely useless. I GIVE UP. My poor kitty needs this medicine desperately so I have reordered the prescription and will go to the hospital to pick up the medicine, having to spend another $35 for the medicine (which was never delivered). Unfortunately Amazon uses UPS. My packages have gone to this facility about two times beforehand, and each time there has been a "delay in delivery due to weather or natural disaster." As a person who lives a 20 minute drive from Norwood, I can contest that the weather has been sunny every time they send that tracking update, so I don't even know why they keep on using this excuse. This brings me to these past few days. I bought an item off of Amazon last Thursday (5/28) and it arrived to the Norwood UPS center at 12am on Tuesday (6/2). Later that night they issued a delay due to weather/natural disaster. Once again, perfectly sunny weather. It has been two full days since then and my package is set to arrive by today, but I am skeptical. I also bought another item on Monday (6/1), and it went to this facility on Tuesday at 10am as well. At 10:01am, they issued a "carrier delay" and it still has not arrived, although it was supposed to be delivered the next day (Wednesday). It is late. Now, with that being said, I bought a third item on Monday. It shipped that same day in Minnesota and arrived Thursday (today) at 4:13am at the Boston Distribution Center. I woke up to find the package at my doorstep at 10:47am. As this center and the Norwood one are both nearly the same distance from my house, it is obvious that the Norwood UPS facility clearly does not care about your packages. I gave them the benefit of the doubt considering the current circumstances, but seeing how other facilities are able to deliver quickly and effectively, I'm disappointed. Update: the first package that was due to arrive today has a delay again. Expected to arrive June 5-10. Unacceptable. Would give this place 0 stars if it were possible. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The drivers from this dispatch are utterly incompetent and follow no rhyme or reason in whether they will or will not deliver a package. They will leave a $1000 camera laying in plain sight on the sidewalk outside your home, and then refuse to deliver a $5 book without someone being home with proper ID to sign for it. Customer service is completely worthless, and all they have is excuses and apologies -- never the ability to actually fix a problem. I have dealt with this delivery location twice in the past couple of months. To get anyone on the phone you have to press zero 20 times. Then they take no responsibility for communicating with their customers. We have ring at our house and it was not activated both times when the driver supposedly attempted to make a delivery. Hi, I was waiting at home for receiving a shipment from UPS. Guess what, I just found a note on the door that we attempted to deliver a package. I am still trying to figure what they mean by attempted to deliver if you don't knock at the door. We drove past your house today. We like these post it notes which our driver will leave on your door stop without reading the signed notes. What is the point of loading packages if you are not going to deliver to people in their homes. What is the point of having cell numbers if they don't call you or text you before the shipment arrives. I get messages 15 minutes after the driver has driven past my apartment. No one knows the time of the delivery. Does anyone read the instruction note stuck on the door or you stick a note and complete your shift. I did not have any choice since the shipper chose UPS. Unlimited Pain in the @#$%. I would recommend to avoid UPS if you can. I am waiting for my delivery tomorrow. Hope the postman knocks or rings your door bell. Two weeks later the package has been sent back and fourth to Shrewsbury and I've called almost every day to hear the same claim that the package is on its way. By far the WORST customer service and and the most UNPROFESSIONAL employee is KIM at this Norwood station. I had several packages of which only 1 required a signature. The driver did not ring the doorbell and he did not leave a notice either and on top of that, he decided to take all the packages that did not need a signature to stay in his truck. This is the 3rdt time this happens in a month. I contacted UPS to complain and once I got a call from KIM, as always, she started with an attitude, constantly cut me off while talking and when I asked for a supervisor, I was told that she's the only one who works here. When trying to ask for suggestions and other options, I was told that if nothing makes you happy, you can come here and pick it up yourself which is a 50 min drive for me. Well, if I wanted to pick it up myself, I would probably not use UPS or a mail delivery service in the first place genius..... Who on earth is hiring these people??? Four separate days we have been home all day and night with a package on the front porch waiting to get picked up when another one is delivered. The driver has repeatedly lied about coming to our house and saying that either the package was not available or that we were not home. Not only have we been home, but we have a video doorbell so we can see anyone who comes to our front gate. I have called the main UPS center and also have had this distribution center call me. On two of these occasions (Saturday and today) I have been promised that the package was on the truck and that the driver would be dropping off and picking up my packages. These calls were helpful and reassuring, however the driver again lied about coming to our house and never actually came here. The notes he makes online contradict reality - he says that he stopped by and the packages were not available, however if the package was on the truck, why not at least deliver that when you are stopping by? A signature is not required. When I spoke to a woman at the distribution center, I asked if perhaps he needed help and today she told me that she was personally making sure that someone would be on the truck to help him deliver the item as it is heavy. Still didn't get delivered, though he did say that he came to our home and that the packages he was supposed to pick up weren't available. On one of the first days this happened, I heard the truck and ran outside and he was parked down the street and I considered running down to check if we could get our things but he drove away - come to find out that was the exact time he was logging in that we were not home. I was literally standing on the sidewalk looking at him and the truck in the distance. He never came near our home or even got out of the truck. Not sure what to say as there is a bit of a monopoly and I can't keep my packages from going through this distribution center. I'm calling and messaging UPS every time this happens and the Norwood Distribution center IS calling me and telling me that my packages will be delivered/picked up that day. They have been friendly and helpful, except that they can't seem to get this driver to come to my house or deal with him lying about it. So yeah, if you are getting gaslit by your UPS delivery person, you are not alone. They actually ARE lying about coming to your house and are not actually coming. You aren't crazy. At least not about that. ;) Update: A driver came today and dropped off the package but did not pick up the other two. I happened to hear him so I ran out and asked if he could take the two that were waiting to be picked up on the porch. He said that he didn't have the labels or paperwork (even though dispatch had assured me they had been given out on Saturday and again on Monday) but that he could take them. He also said that he was a temporary replacement driver. I'm updating this from one star to two because he was clearly doing his best and trying to do a good job. I'm not sure who, where, or what in the process caused all of the above to happen but the process could definitely be improved upon. Am really just keeping this review up so that if you experience something like this you know that you're not alone and also that it might just be a super crappy system with no one actually being malicious or even negligent. When I checked my Amazon account, UPS documented they made 3 attempts and returned the package to the seller. I was home all day the whole week. I was supposed to receive a package yesterday. I was told it was never on the truck and would arrive the next morning. The truck shows up at my house, and the driver removes 2 boxes (NOT MINE) and says he can't find mine and he'll be back later. It's been over 6 hours since he said he would be back and he never arrived. So he shows up to my house with my package, and leaves with it to never come back. UPS has failed me for the last time and I will avoid them at all costs and have my friends and coworkers who currently use them avoid the company completely. UPS has gone downhill with no signs of returning. I had to take two days off of work to sign for this box now and it looks like I'll have to use a vacation day just to get a damn package. (NOT WORTH MY TIME) UPS needs to step up their game. FedEx and Amazon are blowing them out of the water. But I am writing this now to thank Cheryl at the Norwood MA location for her assistance. I think, from my 1.5 hour experience with the 800# last night, 2 customer service reps and 1 supervisor, UPS is in a baaaaad way. I'm of the mindset that the whole 800# experience is by design... they make it so painful and sooooo infuriating that people will just give up and thats ok by them. I mean, 6$ a package (i had 5 packages this instance) to to deliver two blocks over? c'mon. Especially when I get three different answers to a simple question about hours of operation at a p/u facility & ultimately it's there lack of having the balls (ahem company policy) to tell me I cannot, in fact, pick up the package same day as advertised. Location can't receive incoming calls? Truck drivers can't leave messages?.... Whatever, Thank you Cheryl in Norwood & UPS as a whole... whatever. I did learn something that will most likely be helpful in the future. This is the third time that I was home and a note was just left on my door. No knock, no bell. This time I saw him coming and by the time I ran downstairs he already left the note and now they say I cannot pick up the package until Monday! Today is Wednesday! This is crazy! When I called to report the problem the woman on the phone had an "oh well" attitude, was definitely Not sorry, and told me the same LIE again - he will come back 'if' he has time. He never does. UPS phone system is designed to prevent you from speaking with a human. If you go down the path of tracking and don't receive the answers you need, the system hangs up on you. Under no circumstances will it let you speak with anyone. The WORKAROUND I have found is to select a "shipping pickup" and then play around until it decides you need help. read more

Waited all day for my package. No one rang my doorbell or knocked. Go downstairs to get mail and a "we missed you" notice was on my door. Called and complained and the woman said the driver beeped, knocked and rang, which is bullshit. Then I ask them to keep it there and I will pick up the next day. She said ok. I drive the 30 minutes to the facility only to find out it was back on the truck out for delivery. I was so upset. I got it the next day, but I still had to wait around all day for the delivery. Now I wasted 3 days to get 1 package. I literally sat outside all day so the driver had no excuse not to deliver. The drivers are lazy and incompetent. I'm positive the driver didn't want to carry the package because it was heavy. I don't know how they are still in business. read more
