I have been having issues with my packages getting delivered for a while now and I called the 818-838-4252 and spoke with a rude lady so called supervisor named DANIELLE she has absolutely no customer service skills was speaking over me disregarding my concern telling me she can't do a anything about it after I told her I was injured and was UNABLE to drive 30 min to go to pick up my package that they were unable to deliver to me. She said oh well I can't do anything about it use someone else's name so they can come. Then as I was trying to explain to her there is nobody else. Poor CS at this UPS. Claims were that a driver could not access a large, 4-story, several-hundred unit apartment building on a Saturday. Is not the first time, either. One can regularly see Amazon, FedEx and other delivery company uniforms walking around, inside the complex. It has about nine entry/exit doors around the building. Perishable products during heat waves have been commonly stored in their vans and/or warehouses, as they claim the driver cannot contact customer. UPS has become very much like a government business... :(. CS states a rep tried calling... lie! Was tole man called. When their CS was contacted, a woman stated that someone would call w/in an hour. Two hours later, placed another call to CS. Another claim that this same man would call. It's been over an hour and still waiting. Heat wave with perishable items out in hot van, again. Thinking seriously of ceasing all business with companies using these shippers. Once upon a time, the customer was #1 !!! The latest business model is for quantity, not quality. Stomp on the customer? They don't seem to care about those who pay the bills. What is happening to the USA??? What if the people all went on strike? UPS Sylmar HUB needs to be held accountable for its incompetence. It's very obvious that most packages that pass through sylmar hub are being mishandled and or stolen and never get to its final destination. In my case, yes the box did get delivered to me 3 days late after ups noted that they miss sorted my package. And when it did get delivered at my door step all they delivered to me was an empty box with nothing inside. I checked the tracking history and it's funny how it shows that sylmar received it and then it's says it's miss sorted and all of a sudden it says that it's in Anaheim so instead of being delivered to me on Friday, now I had to wait until Monday. How convenient for whoever came up on my collectibles. Anyways this place is the worst and not reliable. If anyone else has been robbed by UPS sylmar hub reach out to me please ! I'm it sure why it has such negative review. I was very skeptical at first to come here because of the reviews.... but I had a better than please t experience. I needed to drop off some packages but I was short a box so I decided to just purchase one there.... I drop off the packages that were ready and I tel the guy that I was going to buy a box. He says: "let me see if we have a box outside you can just have." Star #1. Then he comes with a large box and says: "This should fit it." I had brought my own tape so I tried to get it from him but he said "no I'll do it." He starts cutting the box in half (it was too large) and then re-tapes it and just packages the whole thing for me. Star: 2,3,4,5. I was so pleased. Plus i saved myself $$$! I had an order of two new phones that were supposed to be delivered to my home on 4/16/20. On 4/15/20 the package arrived to your sylmar facility and the on 4/16 it was showing that it was "in transit" to my home. My new phones did not show up and then on 4/17/20 the package showed as being "held" due to covid related issues. I called on 4/20 to try to figure out what was going on and I was told that it was being held due to not enough drivers due to the pandemic. On 4/21 we called again and were told the same thing, then we were given the option to drive to the facility and pick the package up ourselves. The package was then changed to "held for pick up" status. I went to the location today as I was told to do only to be told that they could not find my package anywhere and that I need to file a report. I've tried three times to file a report and I can't because my package is still showing held and not lost or stolen. I am a nurse, my husband is a nurse. We are still working full time during this pandemic while my two girls stay at home. We do this in order to provide the care patients need during this awful time. I had to rush during my lunch hour to pick my package up in an entirely different city only to find out that someone from UPS most likely stole my two new iPhones. I have spent no less than 4 hours on hold, and probably another hour speaking to someone, just trying to figure out where my package is. My daughter is a type 1 diabetic who I have no other choice to have stay home, since my husband and I are essential workers. One of these phones was for her because hers is not working right and the other is for me because my current phone is glitching as well. I NEED her to have a working phone to let me know when her sugars are high or low or if there is an emergency. I would like to take a moment to say SHAME ON YOU UPS. Not only did your poor customer service not help us, but it is also placing my daughters health at risk because we can't communicate like we normally do to tell her how much to eat or how much insulin to give herself. I cannot believe that our package was just "lost" and truly feel that one of your employees took it. Then I am forced to drive, skipping lunch and not eating, to try to get my phones from your office. I do not believe that your company couldn't have told me on the phone that this had gone missing. Incompetent drivers that don't know how to use a simple intercom. Press 3 little numbers and the door will open... like magic. I guess it's hard to do that when you can't read. Every single time I have a UPS delivery, I cringe. All my packages are delayed, lost or dropped off at "access points" because the drivers don't know how to press numbers on an intercom. Some drivers are so lazy, that they won't even bother stopping and drive past my building. And admit that they didn't stop because they don't know how to use the intercom. This place is horrible. They been having my package for over two weeks now. It's said it was supposed to be delivered on 5/13 but never came. On 5/19 I went to this lame facility, stood in line only to be told it was still on the truck waiting to be unloaded to get out onto a delivery truck. I ask them to hold the package for me so I would pick it up when it was ready. That same day about 2hrs after I had left I got a message saying my package was ready for pick up. So there I go back to the facility around 1pm and they are closed for the day. They close early due to Corona virus. I show up the very next morning at 10am on 5/20 and there is a big O line. I wait an hour in line, not a big deal. The worker begins to write some number on this piece of white paper and goes to the back to retrieve my package. but he comes back empty handed???? He tells me it's not there and to come back in a week around 7-8 pm when there is less people in line. The problem with that is, that their regular hours are from 10am-6pm. But I find that out later when I go back a week later to the facility. On 5/21 I get another message saying my package is out for delivery but never gets delivered. But I'm still confused about them trying to "deliver" it when I ask them to hold it for pick up. So know 5/29 my package was returned to sender due to my package being on "hold" for longer than 5 days waiting to get picked up. " So let me get this straight ,you're able to return it back to the sender within two days but can't deliver it to me?" Also sender has not received the package yet. So there is something fishy going on. I will not be ordering anything that ships from UPS. I will try to work out a delivery plan when and if I order online. The "supposed" supervisor- Stephanie hung up on me when I was complaining that a package that was suppose to be out for delivery changed from in route to delayed 15 minutes prior to 9pm. The tracking updates stated I route the whole day. She offered no explanation other than "Its due to Covid" and stated she could not guarantee that the package would arrive on the next schedule date. I'm getting packages sent from all over the US and the transit schedule is just fine. The packages are moving. Then they arrive at the Sylmar location, and everything falls apart. They just sit at the warehouse, not moving. I get an update that it's out for delivery and nothing happens. Driver doesn't show up. Then a message pops up on tracking saying it's delayed. UPS has had my package since May 9th (day it should have been delivered) Then I get notice delivery will be delayed by ONE BUSINESS DAY, the 10th passes, the 11th passes, the 12th passes, the 13 passes.
