Horrible service ups has been scanning this item and marking it as being in route to be delivered for 5 days and it has never left the ups hub. We had to drive to Sylmar to pick up are package that was supposed to be delivered 5 days ago. Poor customer service employee who assisted was rude and made it very clear now wanted to deliver the package because it was heavy. I made a purchase through amazon prime back in April and I still haven't received it even though it says it arrived at this facility days ago! No update on tracking and they don't answer their damn phone. All I get is that message saying "Your package will arrive today" it's bs. This isn't the first time they've "lost" a package of mine. Back in November I had order a gift for my nephew and the package was "delivered at my door". However coming home there was no package anywhere. I even checked my security camera and no ups driver even came to my house. It's amazing this place is still even opened to help people. There is "SO much disorganized" issues here it is simply amazing. This place/business is falling apart. I have waited for days for a 2 day air package that says out of delivery every single day, and it never shows up. Plus with running the local driver down in my neighborhood who now uses a uhaul truck to deliver packages is horrendous. The packages are thrown on the uhaul with "no care" at all, and most are crushed beyond belief. I am going to stop using UPS permanently. Unfortunately today the second she walked a white lady told her she can get helped in spanish with Robert. My mom indeed knows how to speak English, but she felt racism attitude towards her. While Robert was checking the weight and size he gave the total amount of 3 packages for $400. INSANE, COMPLETELY OUTRAGEOUS! We usually pay 30-40 a package! My mom questioned him for the amount... This is the only case where a private business is less efficient than the government business competitor. 90% of the time, I get the delivery attempted notification without any attempt made. For two years in a row, I found myself unemployed during the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. UPS has seasonal work in the warehouse and as a driver helper. I was hired immediately once I filled out the application online and then I attended orientation, which I got payed for. I had money to pay my bills and I was able to participate in buying gifts my family. It was a true blessing for me. They treated me very nice and in return I worked hard for them because of it. I ordered two turtles a week ago and they came in a couple days ago and I was happy to see my package was going to arrive yesterday even though it was two days delayed, But when the package was being delivered I didn't receive and they just sent it back to transit i've waited 3 days for a package I should of received a long time ago and on top of that there live animals they shouldn't be held in a place that isnt fit for there living conditions, I also went today to go see if I could pick it up today because on the website they said they would close at 1pm but when I arrived at 11:30 they were already closed. I do not recommend UPS at all they basically killed my baby turtles because theres almost no possible way that they can survive 6 days in transit without any water or hydration and yet still have my order in transit. read more

This is the second day I have had tracking details telling me my package was going to be delivered by 9pm. I logged into my account used my tracking number and was able to see the truck that supposedly had my package onboard. I watch the truck pass by my address several times and even stood outside and watched it do a U turn 1/2 a block away. I will never use UPS again. Gawd help you if you have to pick up a package from this location. Let's review. When the truck guy comes to your door, he walks up and drops the package. If it requires a signature, he leaves a note. When you get the note, you call the number on the note or go to the website. Well, stupid, how dare you call or go on-line after 6 pm on the day of the attempted delivery. Now you have to wait two days more before the pick-up is allowed at the central ops in Sylmar. TWO DAYS!!!! WTFO Does the delivery guy take the shit home with him for a few days? But wait, there's more. If you contact them after 6 pm on a Friday, they pull the maximum stupid rule out of their ass - pick-up no earlier than the following Tuesday, AFTER 10AM. WTFO! FOUR effing days to be available for pick-up? BOZOS. But wait, there's more. Now you get to drive there and talk to some bright bulb who after you hand him your driver's license, asks you what is the delivery address. My response - on the license. He types it into a screen and then asks for my name, my response - on the license. Was he expecting something different like it is a giant commune with hundreds of names at the same address? There is normally one person working the counter, but when there are two or more customers, more employees come out of the back and start visiting with each other, not with the customers. The pace of customer service slows to the inverse number of employees (for the math challenged that means 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 ... the speed). Wait while the unmotivated employees have to find your shit and make about 50 hand typed entries into some handheld thing. Hello, why not scan the electronic markings on the box, bozo - that's all the truck driver does? You sign and get to drag it out to your car. Renaming the place...F-UPS. I'll admit that I have had my ups and downs with all delivery services in the past. Usps, FedEx and Ups! If they would just work on their smiles, energy and welcoming their customers, they probably wouldn't get bashed the way that they do through these comments! Purposely took time off to wait for an overnight package that was supposed to be delivered today. Purposely left my front door open so that it can be seen from the gate so that the driver would know someone was home. Barely 5 feet away from the front door and I never even heard anything because the lazy UPS driver didn't ring my door bell to alert anyone that he was there with a package that required a signature. (My dogs hate the doorbell being rung, they never made a sound either) Instead he just came left a notice that he was there. This place is very incompetent with their deliveries. I ordered something a week ago and like almost everyone here it said it was in transit. As well as not being delivered due to bad weather/natural disaster...None of that was apparent here in Sylmar! My solution, don't EVER rely on this UPS station in Sylmar for deliveries. Luckily, I contacted Amazon about this issue and they were able to help me better than UPS. If my package doesn't come tomorrow which I expect it won't, I will be contacting Amazon to request a replacement and have it delivered same day, I may have to pay extra but it's better than relying on this UPS crap. read more

Come on UPS, first I receive a damaged 70lbs entertainment center, you pick up the damage entertainment center and delivers the new one. Then come back and because you're unorganized, you pick up the good one and due to you're mess up the best option from UPS was for me to pick up the package. EXTREMELY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES! My cell phone was to be delivered on THURSDAY. My provider arranged a 24 hour delivery. It is now SATURDAY and I still do not have my shipment. The office is difficult to contact, the email responses are slow and essentially, they made a mistake and did nothing to correct it. I live four miles from the location, I could have picked it up. They walked off with a scheduled pick up that never made it into the system. Had a woman by the name of Michelle who called me just to say she would have to get back to me and then never did. I simply want my package back. They never shipped the thing and yet had no problem walking off with it. Would give them zero stars if possible. expect deliveries from this branch to come 2-3 business days later then scheduled. They never disappoint to do that so plan accordingly. This is ridiculous! UPS tried to deliver a package to my business half and hour before we opened and would not return during our open hours. When I called the number on the notice around 11:45 am, I was told that they would attempt delivery the next day during our store hours or they could take it to the Customer Center and I could pick it up once it was there. I repeatedly told the person that I needed this package today for my business and asked if he knew when it would be at the pick up location since I wanted to pick it up today. He said he didn't but that he would put in the order for it to be taken to the pick up center and that someone from there would call me to let me know when I could pick it up. I chose that option hoping that I could pick it up today. When no one called me, I tried calling them. I got the annoying computer system that just told me what I already knew -- that they had tried to deliver this morning and that our business was closed. Their message said that someone would return my call within an hour. I called twice. When I went back to their Google listing, it says that they closed at 2:00 pm today!! Why didn't the person who told me to call them know that!! This is really unprofessional! If they are going to take it to a place where we can pick up, the place should be open at least until an hour after normal business closing hours. And the message should not say that someone will get back to them within an hour if they are closed!! read more

If ordering anything that weighs more than 100 lbs, beware, the employees are too weak and lazy to handle that load. They will "attempt" to deliver for several days, but ultimately fail due to their frail statures. Maybe they delay delivery in order to physically/mentally prepare for such a heavy package. Maybe they only have one dolly that the hundreds of trucks share. Maybe their wage is so low they can't afford to adequately nourish themselves. Whatever the reason is, your package will be delayed day after day until it becomes lost in the system. read more

For the past few weeks, we have noticed a severe change in the quality of our deliveries. More than one time, our packages have been thrown over our front entry gate into our planter. Not once, in the past month has UPS knocked on my door or rang our doorbell to deliver any packages. Thursday evening, I checked the tracking status on a package I had been waiting for. The tracking number surprisingly said it had been delivered at 11:43 am. I searched all around my front entry way, in the mailbox, outside of the front entry gate, and still could not find it. When I looked up, I saw it in my tree in the planter behind the front entry gate. The package was completely soaked, leaving the contents inside damaged. I'm not sure about you, but I would prefer my packages to be delivered to my door and not my tree. When I saw UPS pull up on Friday, I asked the delivery driver what has been happening with my packages. I told him a number of my packages that had been delivered were damaged, and this wasn't the first time. My purpose for discussing this with the driver was to prevent any future packages from being damaged, some sort of explanation and an apology would have been much appreciated. Instead of being met with any professionalism, I was met with hostility and a defensive attitude. I'm a fair and understanding person, but this driver obviously has no respect for any customers and the quality of the service that UPS promises. I asked why my packages were getting destroyed and said that it was not okay to treat packages like this. He yelled at me for calling his supervisor, called me a b**** and a crazy lady. He was aggressive, and overall would not stop yelling. my neighbors couldn't even believe it. When he got in his car and was driving away he said "f*** you". I am appalled. When things got heated, I tried to calm him rationally and reached out my hand as a gesture to shake his hand, he slapped my hand away and said "don't you ever f***ing touch me. I should sue UPS for their driver basically hitting me, touching me at all like that. UPS, what a disappointment. I filed a complaint but never heard back after that. Do NOT EVER order anything of value if it has to go through the Sylmar facility, it will get stolen there. When a package arrives there, it gets scanned once, then scanned a second time when it heads out for delivery. My package arrived there, and has been scanned a total of 8 times, claiming it went out for delivery daily. When I stopped the UPS driver, he claims he has no package, but shows it was scanned as loaded onto his truck. These guys can determine when expensive items come through, and the temptation is too much for them to bear. When I call the supervisors, they simply state "We don't know where it is". Go with FEDEX, or Amazon if you order anything as the UPS clowns have zero customer service, could care less about your stuff, and like stealing valuables that come through there. read more

For some reason, UPS scans at other locations are mostly smooth and timely but if anything has to make a stop in SYLMAR, it stays there... FOREVER... If your package is sent through this Hub, expect it to either: 1) BE 7-10 days late (even if you paid for overnight shipping)... OR 2) Be LOST forever. My package has been sitting at this location 5 miles from my house for a week. The can't or won't deliver it and have denied my request to come pick it up. The misleading information I have been given states that each day my package is out for delivery by the end of the day. If that were true I am supposed to believe that for 5 days straight there were so many packages in front of my box that UPS was unable to make it 5 miles away? On top of that they will not even let me come pick it up. Sounds like a solution for everyone but I leads me to believe there is more to this than Coronavirus restrictions. read more
