I had a notice that a package could not be delivered on 2/4/26. I was on the toilet when he arrived, he did not wait. The next day 2/5/26 he attempted to deliver my package and said "you can't have it", got in his truck and left. Not knowing hi name. I missed my pickup (my fault, entirely) and drove items to the UPS Hub. My first time here and I asked one of the drivers (male, wearing a hat who was leaving for the day) where I could find the office. It was closed, but another UPS (female) was kind enough to search for Vincent (who runs the office front desk). Vincent responded quickly, unlocked the door, and started working on my mishap. It required a little more research and he requested the additional assistance of Sean. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I mean, like weird kind. As though they'd had customer relations training an hour ago. FedEx, meh! I'm using UPS for my future shipping. Great experience. Thank you!!! read more

I bought a PC from Amazon that is being delivered by UPS. The local UPS office it was dropped off at in Georgia did not scan the package correctly and it sat there for two days. Then, when I called and the seller had to drive there to get them to rescan the package it took another day to get it to Atlanta. When it arrived in Atlanta they had a problem with working conditions (whatever that means) and it sat there for two more days before I called again. They assured me that the problem was fixed and I would have a new delivery date (the package is over 5 days late today) by the end of the day. 24 hours later no update and I called them again to find that they cannot find the package. When I asked what they would do to fix the situation they told me I could file a claim and I would need to wait 6 more business days to find out the results. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was placed on hold for over an hour and then they promptly dropped the call. I have never dealt with a more incompetent company with incompetent customer service in my life. I will never UPS again and I will never order from anyone who intends to ship a package to me with UPS ever again. UPS is terrible. read more

Was home and waiting) and now I have to drive 33 minutes one way during a workday to pick up my package because the jokers are only open until 1pm Monday through Friday. I placed an order during the week with Amazon and it was said to be delivered to me on Friday at an Amazon Locker which was perfect for my nephews birthday party Saturday ... it blows my mind why this says there was no one there for signature!?? It's a locker! No signature is needed! so did the driver not have enough time to deliver, or wanted to start the weekend early?? We have been expecting a package at my business for two days - we aren't notified of a problem, but every day we get text messages saying it's out for delivery. Our business is in an industrial setting - and we are the only business of our type. Our name is on the package, and UPS has been delivering to us for over 10 years. Suddenly, because the shipper didn't put the suite number on the package the UPS driver has no earthly idea who or where we are. Really? Yes, the address should have been correct. But when there was a (trivial) problem if the driver couldn't solve it you would at least think UPS would contact me and ask what to do? But no. After all these years you'd think they'd do better. Ordered something from Amazon and didn't know that ups was going to deliver it. So my package was going to arrive on Friday. Then I got a notice saying they couldn't deliver it for wrong information. The address was correct. Plus, there was someone at the house incase it needed a signature. The ups driver didn't even bother to ring the door bell or leave a note. I placed an order with one of my suppliers. The package was shipped via UPS to our storefront...much by accident. We usually ship products to our home. This is why. Order 0016247350 was returned without any noticeable delivery attempt. According to UPS's site it the Final Delivery was attempted 12/01/2020 6:11 P.M. We are open from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday - Friday. We were here. No delivery attempt was made and we never received a sticky note that attempts were made. I generally see the driver drive by around 4:00 pm He never said anything to us. I've attempted to get UPS to turn the package around without any luck. All they could say I'd have to call the shipping. This drive has done this before! I don't have $800 to reorder the product and we need these items by Wed of next week. This isn't your typical UPS Store style location or authorised shipping center, it's actually so much better and more adept with assisting your needs. It's easily located near the Palm Springs International Airport and is technically the destination sort facility for inbound items and the local facility that all outbound items have to get scanned through and sorted before they end up on a plane or a truck. They offer a Customer Service Center on the property and offer the ability and flexibility to pay for shipments, drop them off with later cutoff items that allow the items to still be processed and counts towards the delivery commitment, they are also the place to come and pickup any items requiring you to do so if they attempted delivery multiple times and they can hold a item at the location for pickup upon request. Their hours are weird, 9a -2p and 3p - 6p weekdays and doesn't include specific holidays, so call or double check their website for the daily hours or holiday closures, the website shows the current days operational hours and is updated daily. They no longer are accepting cash for payment on services at the location, which makes sense as they process high volumes of items that they really don't need to have the added complexity of cash on hand. Overall I love and prefer this over a UPS Store or Authorised Shipping location as I know the item is in the hands of the main artery and that it will go put that same day versus earlier cutoff times for item pickup at various locations and UPS Stores. Overall I give this place a glowing view, just be careful if going around 9a - 1030a or 4:30p - 6:00p as there are often and frequent UPS Vehicles departing the facility or arriving to it and the parking for customers is in a narrow corridor that is used by their delivery trucks and can be congested often in those hours! read more

I hate UPS. Once again, UPS is claiming I was not home when they tried to deliver my package. And once again, I was home. To prove it, the little yellow sheet was not left on my door. I've called the main number, gone through voicemail H*** so I could file a complaint and now have to wait up to an hour for a return call. Supposedly, he tried to deliver it at 4:06 pm. I saw an email come in and opened it to find a message from UPS stating I was not home when they tried to deliver it. Lie. I'm guessing the delivery guy had a lot of packages and thought since I am gone a lot, it would not matter if it was delivered today or tomorrow. Unfortunately for both of us, I delayed a trip to get the package. I used to have a terrific UPS delivery man who delivered everything on time! I loved UPS then. He was promoted. His replacement is not too terrific which makes me hate UPS. His replacement has even been so lazy as to deliver the package to the clubhouse of the development and claim it did not have a unit address. I snapped a picture of it and sent it to the manager who had argued that it did not. This happened three times before he stopped doing it. Probably because I called and complained every single time. Here's the problem, this shipment is a thumb drive with photos, movies and music for my father's funeral. Any guesses as to when the service is? This isn't about the people working at this facility. I honestly think they are doing the best they can. What this is about, is UPS itself, which has the worst tracking and the most ridiculous delivery policies of any major carrier. We were supposed to get a package delivered to our business just before Christmas, and UPS decided that businesses probably weren't open so they wouldn't deliver anything to businesses on those days, and would just do residential deliveries. Wrong answer! now it's right after Christmas and we're supposed to get a delivery today. Nope. They had a mechanical problem, and while the package is said to be in Palm Springs, they won't manage to get it delivered before we close tonight and we will have to wait until Monday to get it. We just don't have these kinds of problems with FedEx, and we don't have them with OnTrac (which used to be California Overnight) either. We don't use DHL, so I don't know whether they are better or not, but I would be very much surprised if they aren't better, too. I understand that Amazon is creating its own carrier system. But with this new driver he just doesn't have the mind capacity to grab a package and walk through a door and deliver it he simply looks outside his window doesnt get off and Mark's down the place isnt safe for drop off(3 times)?!?!? UPS delivery in Palm Springs is POOR! I live in a ,condo complex that has been here since at least 2006. The complex addressed are based on the building number, I.E. 1010 E Palm Canyon, 1020 E Palm Canyon, etc. Each building then has unit #'s. UPS has said they have delivered a package "at the front door" 2 times, but no package is there. I am retired and am home all day. This is getting old. No excuse because of the layout of the complex, it has been here for years and USPS, FedEx, etc. are able to locate my unit. UPS in my opinion does not seem to train there drivers and educate them about there routes. I do NOT recommend them, use another service if at all possible. read more

[edit 6/5/2019] yet more issues getting a basic amazon delivery today... tracking status said "out for delivery" all day long, then at end of day i got an email saying delivery had been attempted "sorry we missed you", even though as a MY UPS customer, i have a standing, hard-coded delivery driver instruction to leave all incoming deliveries on my patio. this driver's claim of an attempted delivery is quite moot since i have recorded video surveillance footage which clearly shows that absolutely no delivery attempts were made at all as no delivery drivers are seen at my patio gate today. i can only attribute my ongoing difficulties receiving ups deliveries to the hebetudinous driver (noted in my earlier review below) who must still be holding some sort of child-minded grudge against me for reporting the previous issues listed here and getting his little boat rocked... this is apparently what happens when ups hires addlepated little boys to do a smart(er) man's job. --[earlier review complaint is below]-- driver demanded signature for normal ups ground delivery (even though no signature service was ordered)... i was unable to sign due to disability and driver refused to leave package - instead lying to ups claiming that i refused the package and did not want the item. i already have a "leave on patio" standing order with ups due to my disability - which this hebetudinous driver blatantly ignored so he could play "hall monitor / signature cop". now the tracking info shows that i apparently arranged to pick it up at this customer service center - which i absolutely did not. I'm not asking them to hang around until I retrieve the package[s], but it would be extremely thoughtful to just hit the RING before they walk back to their trucks. For starters, I don't usually waste my time on reviews, but this time, I felt I need to shout out to UPS and warn future customers. I have never experienced such an inconsiderate and horrible delivery service. On Saturday, June 28th, I received a text stating my delivery was left on my patio or door. Apparently, the driver didn't even know where he left my package. I called Amazon re such and they refunded the money for the item, because I ordered the item to help me to recover from some sort of virus...sick as I was, refund should've been UPS, since there was no regard on the part of UPS. On June 29th, my windows were open and I can see directly outside my front door. The driver didn't even attempt to knock on the door or even come near it. I called out to driver to let him know I was coming, but me calling out, only made him rush even more to leave. I'd like to point out, I live in a small bungalow and a permanently disabled senior. It was hard, but I reached my driveway, where the 99 lb package was left and tried to get the driver's attention since he was still on my driveway, but my attempt to get his attention only made him rush off as fast as he could. The driver could even see me when he hopped into his truck, because he parked blocking my driveway and the driver could easily see me, but to no avail. My neighbors are usually gone for the summer months, but I was lucky to have had my neighbor's helper outside who witnessed the driver's ineptitude and deliberate act of ignorance. Now if someone could hear me from across the street...it only confirmed the driver did too, but chose to play ignorant. How did the driver expect me to pick up a 99 lb package and get it to my front door from the garage area. I know the drivers aren't allowed to come into the house, but they are to drop off items at the front door, minimum expectation and they claim such. At least, if my package was actually dropped off at my front door, I would feel my package was safe and I'd have time to round up help with someone's dolly, because my front door is within my low picket fence, unlocked and easy accessibility for deliveries to be left at front door, but to leave a 99 lb package on the driveway openly exposed for anyone to take due to the temptation the driver created by his lack of due diligence. The driver couldn't have made it any harder by deliberately making it extremely difficult for me. This driver should be taken off my route, because he's shown to be very inconsiderate and turns a blind eye whenever he sees the opportunity to be flat out lazy. Both occasions, as per the above, I received incorrect texts stating delivery had already been delivered, when the deliveries arrived hours after receiving the text stating incorrect locations, both stating package was left at my front door or patio. Back to the first package, I found it in my mailbox down the street a couple days later. Due to my illness, I can't always walk to end of street where Mail is located and I ordered what was needed to help expedite my recovery before my symptoms had the chance to escalate. Thank God, my mail person saw it in my box, was kind enough to drive it to me knowing my health condition. Why can't UPS do their job right? General post woman had to their job. UPS, in general, lag, rely on the fact they get enough business and act most lackadaisical about all their business. For instance, they are the main delivery company used by Amazon, et al. Unfortunately, such bad invoked experience ultimately turns customers away from anyone who uses UPS. The following Sunday, mind you it's been 3 days in a row. I finally caught a different driver in the act and had him leave package at my door. Had I not caught him personally, would my package have been left at my front door? I don't believe so, since I received a text, hours before stating delivery was made and my package was left at my front door, which made me sit in wait to be sure to catch UPS driver, which I did and was outside before the driver could even lay my item down. Is this what's expected of customers to do whenever they are waiting for their packages. During this whole weekend, Friday through Sunday, I was very ill and UPS made my symptoms worse due to the stress they put me through. I hope Amazon, Overstock and the like sees this review and considers how much business they're probably losing by using UPS' bad business tactics and horrible service. UPS has either gone, like underground, down hill and fell into a black hole or they just don't care about customer service at all. May anyone have to wait for deliveries from UPS, hope this review gives you the heads up, so you don't have to go through what so many customers have had to do...not just me...you can see by all the other bad reviews herein, more than not...they're bad reviews...justifiably so. read more

I was expecting a package on a Saturday. I wasn't actually expecting the package until that following Monday. But, I was excited to see it was arriving two days early. I waited all day because according to the website I could expect the package up and until 9:00pm. I waited until 8:30pm and checked the status again using the online website. It was reported to be back at the Palm Springs UPS facility. I didn't receive any notification that it was not going to be delivered this day. I didn't find out it wasn't to be delivered until I looked up via the tracking number. When I called to find out why it wasn't delivered or if I could go to the UPS facility to pick it up, they were closed and not going to be available to call again until Monday. If I can expect delivery up and until 9:00pm why isn't anyone available to call, up and until 9:00pm? Why didn't it get delivered when it had been on the truck since 6:05am. Why was the tracking information changed to hide the fact that it was on a delivery truck all day and not delivered? Looks like when this company screws up they cover their tracks by hiding their own mistakes. This is what I call horrible customer service!!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about my delivery driver Chris who delivered my husband's much anticipated tires last evening. The delivery time was by 9PM and I could see by tracking that the tires went out for delivery at 9:02AM. As 9PM approached and there was no delivery, I started pacing in the driveway. At 9:17 I could make out the large truck heading toward my house. Chris was the most pleasant young man, very upbeat, polite and helpful, even after being on his truck for over 12 hours by this point. I asked how many more stops he had left and he answered 8. I am blown away by how much these drivers have been impacted by COVID and I am thankful to UPS and especially to Chris.
